Title: mtgox: accidently sent less BTC then entered
Post by: FreddyE on June 15, 2011, 10:54:13 AM
I just tried adding BTC to my mtgox account. So I entered 1.01 BTC. I copied the bitcoin adress that came up...but I accidently sent 1.0 BTC to it instead of 1.01 BTC. What will happen now? Will I loose the money? Or will mtgox just put the 1.0 BTC in my account?

If you added 1.00 instead of 1.01 withdraw it from your MtGox account or deposit another 0.01. You haven't lost the BTC.

In other words, it doesn't matter how much you say you're sending. Your account should still be credited like normal.

Do not send an extra 0.01, it will most likely not be credited.

If you did, send us a mail at info@mtgox.com and post the ticket number here, we'll credit the remaining coins :)

I entered 30 BTC. I copied the bitcoin adress that came up. but I  sent 20 BTC to it instead of 30 BTC.
Then I sent 10 BTC more to the same address.
