What an incredible amount of GBs everyone here is talking about... I thought my 2KB was a lot and I'm seeing GB here. So another case of rich getting richer?

I was half going to see if I could buy a few KB but the early trade requests are telling me this is not in my league. Good luck, though, everyone else here.

WTB up to 1 Terabyte (TB) for a total of 1 BTC (0.001 BTC/GB).

Willing to buy also smaller chunks for the same rate.

Yassin or Seccour as escrow, or without escrow only if you send first (I am an expert and known user with no negative feedback and can share links to my personal and business accounts on social media).

Don't forget to use an escrow when you trade ! Either me or yassin54 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=222847), or any reputable member.

And please never relay on quotes ! Always contact the escrow yourself and they will never ask you for your bytes if you are the seller.

Little guide for Byteball trading

This slack channel is for discussing Byteball trading and for organizing such trades. Please be aware that at the moment, the only way to trade safely is through a reputable escrow middleman! Even if you think you know the guy who you want to trade with, you should better trade through an escrow! We've already seen lots of scammers who try to impersonate well-known community members. So proceed with due diligence and always make sure that you are dealing with the right person, especially your escrow middleman. Only use registered escrow services and compare the usernames and bitcoin addresses carefully before you send someone your precious coins!

Registered escrow services:

I recommend to use cryptox.pl to sell and but GBYTES.
https://cryptox.pl/ this is first market with GBYTE/BTC pair!

Anyone used this exchange? I created an account and try to deposit some GBytes, but the receiving address is displayed as a QR barcode, it does not display the actual address, so I can't even copy paste the address to my wallet...

Dangerous. Cryptox.pl is SCAM.

Did you have any issue withdrawing your funds?

Check the history of transactions from 6.01. Compare with coinmarketcap charts.
You will not find the value 0.024. Although such transactions took place.
Transactions are rewritten in retrospect.

Do you know how coinmarketcap update their data? There's a high probability that values are added to keep the graph continuous, they also might use mathematical means, roundings, etc.
Having said that, there's also a high probability that all exchanges use fake orders/history, sell and buy to themeselves.

This indeed is misleading for users, yet their money isn't directly lost for all we know ...

Your money at risk.

Why?

Use other methods of exchanging until the trusted exchange.

What is a trusted exchange? If you are looking for one that doesn't steal your money directly then cryptox is trusted. If you are looking for one that guarantees no fake orders, no automated bots making up fake volumes, then you'll have to create one yourself :).

was also trying to buy some byteballs but would rather prefer on exchange this time. assumng the price will soon drop because the rest will eventually dump to exchanges. also price of byteball may seem not really high due to a huge supply.

Buy later, it will be cheaper.

Even if you think you know the guy who you want to trade with, you should better trade through an escrow! We've already seen lots of scammers who try to impersonate well-known community members. how to sell the blackbytes you get

You can state your price here. You can also sell on Slack on the channels #trading, #trading_blackbyte and/or #auctionroom. To send blackbytes to someone you'll have to pair devices with them.

how do you see this ?

What do you exactly mean? Normally in your app you can switch between displaying bytes and blackbytes.

Yep. The bot is run by tonych (the main dev), if you don't trust it then it's like not trusting the whole system :). Users have already used that bot and it seems to be doing good.

Actually, there's an issue with the trading bot, it's that you can't remove an order that you've made. You can however fill it if you have the other currency. So if you use the bot, make sure you really want to set that order :).

With a price of 0,051 btc per GByte Byteball is number 9 on coinmarketcap with a total marketcapitalisation of 51.000 btc.

i don't understand that coinmarketcap calculates the marketcapitalisation by 100.000 Gbytes. That's the first round distribution number. The fact that the others are not distributed does not mean they do not exist. Total existing supply is 1 million Gbytes.

I hope people do realize that they are buying a top 10 coin.

titan20, there are also 21 million bitcoins but its also not entirely distributed yet. Coinmarketcap calculates marketcapitalisation by coins that was already distributed. e.g. 16,131,025 BTC and not 21 million BTC.

Well, the big difference is Bitcoin is POW taking how many years to bring all the coins in to circulation.
Byteball is POS. The lead developer can bring all coins in to circulation tomorrow.

And if everything goes to plan i think all coins are in circulation within a year. So the marketcapitalisation is relatively enormous. This is a very successful coin but also very expensive one

He probably won't :).

And if everything goes to plan i think all coins are in circulation within a year.

A year seems highly optimistic for all the bytes to be released. At the time of writing, given the linked BTC amount, a bit less than 1.5% is to be distributed in the next round.

Anyway, coinmarketcap displaying the market cap based on coins in circulation doesn't seem illogical.

There is no difference which method is used: POW or POS.
The lead developer can bring all coins in to circulation tomorrow.
Also in bitcoin that would be theoretically possible. BTW after all distribution bitcoin will be also POS.
if everything goes to plan i think all coins are in circulation within a year
Nobody know that, maybe first in 2020, who knows.
This is a very successful coin but also very expensive one
No. If the marketcapitalisation increases till one billion than the price is now incredibly cheap.

Well that's also a way to look at it. But one thing i don't understand. How could all bitcoins be released in one day. Are you thinking of a hard fork or quantum computing which would solve all blocks in no time?

You surely need to find a seller :). Blackbytes are exchanged Over-The-Counter (there is no centralized or decentralized exchange for them). You can find a seller either in this thread, in #trading_blackbyte in byteball.slack.com (http://byteball.slack.com) or in #gbb_btc in ydx.slack.com (http://ydx.slack.com).

But as we know you cannot get new Byteballs for Blackbytes - only for Byteballs and BTC. That's one of main reasons for dumping them in my opinion!
Perhaps it would help the value of Blackbytes if that would be changed in the next rounds!?

Byteball's built-in assets are bytes and blackbytes (you can create your own). GB is GigaByte and GBB is GigaBlackByte. 1 GB = 1 000 000 000 byte, that's the unit used on exchanges. Yes, at current rates 1 BTC would buy around what you said.

If you buy now you'll get 0.2 byte for each byte you hold (on your private wallet) after the distribution of the 6th round, for which the snapshots will take pace in a bit more than 3 hours. However, you should consider the probability of the price dropping after that (it may or may not happen ...).

Is there an exchange for Blackbyte yet? If not, where is Byteball.co getting its value from?

WTX BBB for BB.  Please PM with offers and amount.

I would like to accumulate BB, but personally don't have a use for BBB (though others will of course).  Escrow agreement required.

Always trade on exchanges to avoid scams!

I would definitely consider this coin, it has a niche market and had an amazing start!

Check out this new coin, already on exchange!  ROI looks very good!  Medical & Commercial Cryptocurrency with Masternode and Privacy!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2753447.0

Do your own research, study your own investments Smiley and luck will come to you Smiley

The stats are taking from https://masternodes.online/currencies/MEDIC/
MEDIC DAILY INCOME (02/01/2018)
$1,177.6975
0.13773984 BTC
5465.8667 MEDIC

Although BTC price is low today but MEDIC MNs still have very good return.
