Title: I'm not ashamed to admit...
Post by: San1ty on April 11, 2013, 09:20:26 AM
I got hit with a 10% loss yesterday...

I have my personal rules on when to get in and when to get out and for a 20% drop is a selling threshold.
I would have sold at $215, but my exchange was down for the entire ride ($260 - $110).

I don't think there was anything I could have done differently besides not buying above $200 (I also bought a couple at prices $70-80-150), knowing a correction was coming sooner then later. I was a blind bull...

All in all I don't think this is over yet! The triangle that has formed now will soon break and it will continue the downwards trend to about $100.

I will join the support at $100 as I think we should not be going back to double digits at this point.

Best of luck and congrats to those that could sell at a descent price yesterday!

That's fine, the majority of people here took a hit but would never admit it because they fear tarnishing their username!

What will trigger your buy at $100?

Since January you have a pretty nice trend line supporting a $100 price at the current time.

Thank you for the credit on my chart. Now that we've dropped below 180 IMO we have broken support and may fall further to our next support at $100. I'll update my original thread

If we break below the the price at my arrow me might see another drop (Do not know how strong).

I would say that the majority of people in here bought well below $50 so no hit taken. Don't forget that just a couple of months back we were below $20, and a LOT of bitcoiners are in this for the long haul.

More than taking a hit, I would bet that the majority of speculation subforum posters have profited for the swing back, buying back lower than they sold, increasing their BTC holding while taking some fiat profits.

You are correct, I bought most at $70-80 and I would have been fine if it wasn't for those overconfident buys at 200. The minority of BTC owners will have suffered a loss with yesterdays events, I was in late and got punished.

Maybe he did win, maybe he didn't. I don't really care to be honest. I only care about my own mistake and how I can do better next time. CBA to get trolled. :)

don't trade, then: buy and hold.
