So true. Never can know when the year of despair will be upon us.

we can predict that it might be 2018.
2016 rhymes with 2012, maybe early 2013
2017 might possibly be similar with 2013-I would toast to this, but cannot predict the peak (or two)
2018 will be as bad as 2014, maybe
2019 recovery
2020 continuous recovery and another halving

Do you talking about the current price for bitcoin, right? That's a real break to bitcoin I think. I saw on exchanger they have 978$ per 1 BTC. 1000$ is crazily near. But how to enjoy this times? To sell bitcoins or to keep it, cause the grown will be continued?

it kind of depends on what 2017 turns into. it might haul bitcoin to a higher level in terms of awareness and usage and stay there in which case i don't think there can be despair like 2014 again. it'll fall back of course but there might be more people involved with more going on.

if the present action ultimately turns out to be a totally empty pump and dump then yeah there's more despair to come, maybe even more.

These are very good times. You wake up in the morning with an increase in your net worth, day after day.  ;D
I am sure there will be a correction in the future, but I am enjoying it while I can.

that is so true. I started to watch this show in march 2013. thought every year would be like 2013. had to learn the hard way. feels good now.

These are indeed good times, but one also have to realize that at some point the price will start to come down heavily again. It's not only good where there never is a point that the market is falling down like a hard rock. That's why you should wisely secure profits as these price levels lends themselves perfectly for that.

My friends are not calling me re bitcoin yet...they might if/when we pass $1000 (currently $981.77, LOL).
It is not the actual price that excites bitcoin newbs, it is the rate of change.
People did ask when it went from $430 to $750 very rapidly.

Seeing the price exploding has a nice smell so lemme enjoy the moment and let's talk about the rate of change later  ;)
Didn't follow the movement of the price well but it seems that it didn't crossed the $1000 line yet in the Chinese exchanges ($998. 07 okcoin which leads the price)

Hopefully the 2020 halving will at least double the bitcoin price of the previous halving (the price it is now).

They happen every couple years. Enjoy it.

Hopefully it continues into next year and every year and providing there's no hacks, it probably should (I'm happy with it either increasing or stabilizing in value for a while).
It was good to open up a price tracker and see that a few days ago, Bitcoin increased by more than $30 in a day.

these are the days that everybody feels good. but with bitcoin all days have been good so far. using bitcoin itself as a currency has been good for me. and as for the price, it has also been good specially those days that everyone was desperate and price was falling because of some FUD or the other and i was buying cheap coins, those were my good days now i have my legs up on the desk watching the price only :)

Apparently some real life financial fuck-ups must happen in order for the Bitcoin price to climb so high. Maybe in 2017 the good times will keep on rolling who knows. It all depends on the geopolitical situation and how much people feel they are getting screwed by the financial institutions. One thing is for sure, Bitcoin nowadays acts as a barometer for the general satisfaction of the masses about their fiat overlords.

I am 100% certain with you, because i also confused about selling or holding the bitcoin, even i also don't know it is time to celebrate or wait for price increasing more and more. Now i have sold my 2 bitcoins and still i hold my 2 more bitcoins, but every time, i think may be price will be more increased, that's why i have been stop myself and look the speculation about bitcoin price.

Depending at exactly what price levels you bought and sold your coins at, you most likely have done well. If you sold at current levels where you made a more than decent profit, I would just wait out the market reaction at the time the price reaches $1000 again. Selling more is not smart as literally anything can happen. You'll benefit anyway. If the price goes down, you'll be able to buy back at lower levels. If the price goes up further, you'll be able to cash out even more profits on the way up. Just make sure you always hold at least 1BTC that you will not sell.

The price is really so volatile that it's so hard to know when to sell. Maybe when it reaches $1,000 there would be multitudes of people selling enormous amounts of bitcoins. If it does happen the supply would boost and the buy demand will drop and that would result to a correction then probably that would be the best time to buy a lot of bitcoins.

Fully agree.   However,  the euphoria that is going around does make me a bit nervous.   It feels damn close to 1999 with the NASDAQ stocks.   And the 2013 BTC bubble for that matter.

Heh.  Nervous or not, it still feels good that BTC is soaring.

Volatility doesn't really matter in this case. All that matters is how much profit will you make if you sell now. If you sell right now and you have made like $300 profit per coin, then you have done well. If you believe that the chances are high that when the price reaches $1000 again people will start securing profits like there is no tomorrow, then you are better off securing profits right now. From current price to $1000 is just a $30 difference. I always say better safe than sorry. I have already taken profits at around $950-$960 so from now on I can happily watch the price either go up or down.

You are talking about the bitcoin price. You can see this is the best chance to get big profits on it.
We are only 2 days left for buying some cheap bitcoins . Have a good luck, Guys.

The prices are rising very fast, pretty confident with these conditions all traders or holders of bitcoin was in a state of confusion because there is the likelihood of bitcoin prices may touch $ 1,000 after the new year.

There's a lingering feeling that a climb that fast could end up in a huge drop, but then again it ain't such a bad thing in the long run  :)

There is never going to be another year like the 2013, the bankruptcy of Mt Gox was terrible for bitcoin but now there is not an exchange that is that big, there could be some events that could make the price of bitcoin go lower like the hard fork planned by November but it is not going to be as big as the crash of 2013.

I think you meant 2014. And that paled in comparison to the prior pump. Imagine buying $20k worth of $32 coins and seeing them dump to $2. Now that was a dump.
If someone is reading this that did that, and bought with significant money to you, and held through to the 2013/2014 pump my hats off to you. You are a f'g stud.

Ok, things are still going pretty well.

This thread is a bit old you just bumped. Well pretty nice to think about anyway. Good reason to necro your post.
Pretty damn sure we're still in good times and we'll have to ride it out and see for ourselves how long will these
good times last. As prices are still going up I feel we're far from seeing this end. Good luck to all of us users!
