At 2014 this was happening and it seems like a bubble, just survive for a short time at the rate over $1000. You don't have a bitcoin, and how you think for do a short selling? Borrow? that's bad. Borrow? that's bad. yes and before selling bitcoin, you need to buy bitcoin first or at least you must have few satoshi to start selling. and for borrow into other places or other person, like JeffBrad12 said, its not good because you should thinking about what you want to do to repay that amount and the fee and how long you can repay the amount you borrow. May be we will see another big pump soon so better to open long position. You can use simplefx where you can open margin position on bitcoin trading.

Seems a wrong speculation. You can wait till bitcoin prices makes a new all time high price levels and that may happen by first week of 2017. Still, continuation of this rally also will be possible if this slow progress keeps on sustaining.How can I short sell, given that I currently don't own any bitcoins? I have not come across any bitcoin exchange with short functionality as these exchanges are operating based on just 'exchange' rather than 'trading'. Is there any exchange service that offers this feature?
