Title: Bitcoin down to $60 recently on btc-e
Post by: Kryai on April 11, 2013, 03:37:50 PM
Fluctuating between $60-$80.
Extremely volatile right now. When Mt, Gox reopens, it will be very curious what will occur.

Bitstamp was at $79, but when I tried to open an account, the website was not available.

Is it possible that these exchanges lack the cash to pay for people changing their coins into dollars?

Weren't Bitcoins at $13.50 each at the start of the year, before all the hype? That seems like a more accurate rate for them to be at, since they were at $10 for most of 2012. They will increase gradually over time, but it'll be years before they reach $260 again.

I call drop to <$50, then it'll climb back up.. but won't go as high because bitcoin newbies will be scared off..

So, is there a reliable, accurate, up to the minute chart on BTC trading and volume?  I have yet to find one...

There was recently a supposed Hack on the accounts at BTC-e, there is talk of it being an inside job
