How do I open them to check if there's gold inside? :D

Paste them into your Bitcoin AppData folder in Windows, and send them to one centralized wallet that you own.

I would just create a blockchain.info wallet and import the found wallet.dat files directly to it. You could lose your bitcoins if you play around with your files when you don't know what you are doing.

While we are on the subject ... have you encrypted and backed up your wallet yet?

Be careful not to overwrite your current wallet!
