Title: Offering wire transfer for BTC. $500 profit.
Post by: bsw1000 on April 11, 2013, 04:25:09 PM
I just thought I would put this out there and see if any interest.  I can't think of a reason why this wouldn't be "safe" but maybe you can...

$5,500 for $5,000 worth of BTC - ten percent profit for you.

I don't own a bank account.  Chexsystems ended that for me.
I am due to receive a wire transfer for a Rolex watch that I sold over the internet to a large retailer.  They agreed to do ACH to my prepaid card, but the prepaid card would not take it (no explanation).  After weeks of trying and speaking with customer service at the prepaid card bank, I've run out of options.  The only way the retailer will pay me now is by wire transfer.  They are tired of trying to pay me with ACH and covering return/rejection fees.

I have no way to open a bank account.  The retailer won't just "mail me cash" (who would?)

So.... I'm proposing to forfeit 10% of my total profit from the sale of the item to anyone who will sell $5,000 in BTC to me in exchange for receiving the $5,500 wire to their account.  There is no problem with the retailer to sending it to you instead if I ask them and signed it off with them beforehand (I checked), though they wouldn't need to know I'm buying Bitcoins..

I propose escrow only, from a moderator here on the board.

BTC would be due the day you receive the wire into your account at the going market rate on MtGox.

Anyone interested?
Worse, anyone think of a reason why this wouldn't be a good idea?  I'm open to suggestions and need to take payment soon from the retailer.

Thanks.
