It is really sad that so many people died. But the blame must be put solely on Erdogan. This incident might have never occurred, had he refrained from helping various Islamist factions in Syria.

It really depends on fact who is behind this terrorist attack.
if Kurds terrorist are responsible for this attack, than this accident is not connected with Turkish politics in Syria.
Of course, also is possible that ISIS is behind this tragedy, we can't know now.
It seems that this age of terror will not finish soon.

This is not going to happen as long as there are greedy politicians and religious fanatics.

Very strange that no one has claimed responsibility for the attack

An eyewitness quoted by the Hurriyet newspaper said she had seen two attackers.

"Two people were shooting with weapons," she said. "Suddenly people started to run. My husband told me not to be afraid. He jumped on top of me. People ran over me. My man was shot in three places."

There will be all kinds of predictions of motives for attacks, I've already heard when our news here were broadcasting interviews from eye witnesses that one attacked was speaking arabic. Now that may sound like bullshit propaganda but I'm surprised that ISIS didn't take responsibility for the attack :D they take responsibility for everything, from bombings to a car hitting a woman on the road.

The PKK had urged for a ceasefire in 2015, but it was Erdogan who rejected it. In 2016, Erdogan launched a massive military operation in Turkish Kurdistan, which resulted in the deaths of more than a thousand Kurdish civilians. Don't you expect the Kurds to retaliate?

But indications are that this particular attack was perpetrated by the ISIS, possibly by some militant who received the Turkish military training.

Those damned Russian hackers! First they rig the American elections, leak Hillary's e-mails. They killed their own diplomat in Turkey, Then they organize immigrant rape-groups in Germany and now they kill people celebrating new years eve in the European part of Istanbul! DAMN those Russian hackers!

The ISIS has taken responsibility for the killings in Istanbul.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-38487509

They have not released the identity of the attacker, probably because he is currently on the run. The Turkish Armed Forces are currently batting the ISIS in the vicinity of the Syrian city of Al Bab. A few days back, the Islamists had defeated the Turks in the battle for a small village on the outskirts of Al Bab.

What surprised me in this sad story is the unbelievable failure in security of this nightclub, which is as many say one of the most popular in Istanbul.Only one policeman was near nightclub and he was killed.Where were the other policemens and security of nightclub when one men is shot a few minutes and then walked away as if nothing was happened?

This is either incredible incompetence of Turkish security forces(some info say that they get warning from US that big attack will happen),or they simply know and let this happen because of some sick political games being played in the background.

According to unconfirmed reports, the attacker was from the former Soviet nation of Kyrgyzstan. Once again, this proves that Erdogan's strategy is wrong. He has been granting work permits to these central Asian people, for growing the Turkish influence there.

You will not win with guns only.  You need to re-write Quran, remove/outlaw Sharia Law, remove all the military verses, pedophilia, killing of people for no reason, remove the 6th century moral code, make it a religion of peace, love your neighbor, want to leave Islam, no problem, type of religion.

Ideally, people will eventually evolve to drop this ancient religious nonsense, but until then you need to provide a 'replacement treatment' for those 2 billion people who are currently affected by this addiction.

So what your saying is that we have to put up with this until the Muslims figure out that koran is just a book.. shit. we're fucked for another 1000 years.

That's horrible. How could they kill innocent people, not soldiers, not politics, but innocent citizens who just wanted to celebrate a New Year's eve in a nightclub? I can't get it. Isn't any war about killing the army of your enemy and not the civilians?

NO.

There are countless historical examples of an enemy displaying ruthless terror, as a technique in demoralizing the foe.  This does mean such a thing as slaughtering an entire village, men women and children.

The curious thing about the Islam religion is that somehow these fanatics generatlize "war" to "society at large" or perhaps "someplace that is sort of Westernized" or "something I don't understand" and all that translates into "Fuck it I'm just going to go blow myself up."

I believe it is very dangerous to believe the supporters of Islam who say "Oh, THAT'S not Islam" or who say "All the Muslims I know are friendly happy people" and all that other propaganda.

Again, the Koran says to kill the infidels. And if a Muslim doesn't obey the Koran, he is an infidel.

This is the truth, and people are afraid to say this due to the political correctness. Most of the Muslims do obey this command from the Koran, as evident from the fact that it is close to impossible for non-Muslims to live with dignity in the Muslim majority regions.

One of the reasons why Muslims do not reflect on the war is that they did not experience the first and second world wars! Most of the people in the region are not awake! Look at Europe and East asia! Enough to fight, know how to cherish peace!

their whole ideology is prone to extremism, as we can see majority of terrorists and terrorist groups are islam based.

You are wrong. Turkey (then Ottoman Empire) was one of the major belligerents during the World War I. Also, many of the battles during that WW were conducted in the Middle East and North Africa.

Same with the WW2 as well. North Africa was a major theater of war.

In Turkey is forbidden for civilians to carry a weapon. I think that if the citizens had guns, then there would be fewer victims. Only it will not be because Erdogan is more afraid of his people than the terrorists.
