Title: Yobit to Poloniex
Post by: DomainMagnate on January 01, 2017, 11:08:39 PM
I am a small time trader and I used to use yobit till now.Today, for some reasons,I decided to move all my funds to Poloniex and start trading there.
I got BTC addy from Poloniex and withdraw all my btc from yobit.Despite 50 mins have passed,I haven;t received my funds in my Poloniex account.I think this is the longest and am worried what is the matter.Has anyone experienced the same?Is it usual time for funds to appear in Polonies account?

Are you sure that this is not problem with longer confirmation time of this particular bitcoin transaction? Have you checked it in a blockchain explorer?

In general your first deposit to a new exchange/service might take a bit long. I waited several hours many times before (not on Poloniex tho) until my BTC finally appeared as my exchange balance.

It is nothing unusual at all, you might start to worry if yours deposit won't be credited in a day or so.

you should check the transaction in any block explorer first, you will see if the transaction is already been sent by yobit and if its still unconfirmed or confirmed, if its confirmed and still not arrived on your poloniex account, you should send a ticket to polo support or just ask them about it on the chat. in my experience, there is some delay on deposits to polo, sometimes my transaction has been confirmed and will only be credited 10mins after

Wow that's a big step :) jumping from yobit straight to polo lol you should've tried c-cex or cryptopia first at least and never withdraw all you got specially if it's a large amount from any exchange because sometimes they need to manually take coins from their cold wallets and or just check them themselves for security reasons.
I have never had any problems taking coins from yobit though bitcoin only I can't talk about altcoins and related issues with wallets maintenance or other things but always got my bitcoins after a few minutes.

steps you should take:
1) go to Yobit https://yobit.net/en/wallets/ and look at the bottom right corner in the middle section for "PENDING WITHDRAWALS" if there is a withdrawal there you can see how many confirmation it has.
if not go to https://yobit.net/en/history/withdrawals/ and there you can click on your last BTC withdrawal to see the tx copy that and check a block explorer to see how many confirmations it has.
2) go to https://www.poloniex.com/balances and see if you can see the same tx there. if it had more than 3 confirmation and hasn't yet been credited contact support.

Yes i have experienced delay upto 24 hours to receive my bitcoin from yobit before so may be your withdraw request is still pending so check your wallet in yobit.

Funds to appear in poloniex require few network confirmation https://poloniex.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/1000166427-where-is-my-deposit-

It seems that it is just a matter of confirmation and nothing needs to be worried about and it seems that a day had passed.

I wonder what is the current situation of op's regarding his movement to poloniex, I hope he will update us here.

many of traders which is first time sending their btc into poloniex have waiting time to receive their bitcoin in their wallet. i think its normal if you need to wait more longer than 50 mins because for now, the traffic in exchanges is high and this is because the price of bitcoin that reach $1000 so this will make people wants to make profit. i am experience too like yours and i am fine as long as my btc is landing with safe in my poloniex wallet.

don't put all your funds to a single exchange though.
if you are like me that don't install altcoin wallets, i use yobit to store some of these coins. and most of the time trade and play dice with these coins to which you can't in polo. you can't expect yobit to be hacked thats for damn sure.

you can check your addres explorer
sending from yobit is ready confirmation or not
if ready confirmation but not receive you balance you can sending ticket support
if not yet confirmation you only wait until confirmation transaction

This is not an unusual thing since transfering coins or bitcoin to another exchanges would really takes time depending on the block that have been confirmed. Less than an hour waiting time is normal and theres nothing to worry and also if you saw that there is a confirmation on poloniex then the best thing you would do is just wait and be patient.Thats all.

Yobit's already provided the blocktrail for checking your transaction. Anything can happen, sometimes the network can get spam transaction and make the fees was deprioritizing. Usually, i just take up to 25 minutes for every transaction.

Me too, I don't have issues with this. I think most issues with withdraws happen with Alt Coins transactions. With BTC it's normal sometimes to have a delay, I already have one only once. I had to wait about 24 hours to receive my coins, after this event, Yobit increased the fee to 50.000 satoshis per transaction. When this happen, many others related similar issues, even not using Yobit.

As OP didn't back here, probably he received his coins. Maybe it was just a little delay.

As long as it was listed in your transaction history (with pending or transaction id), you will receive it no matter what. And if does not, then credit is the issue on the exchange itself.

Anyways goodluck trading in Poloniex and please keep in mind that bitcoin transaction is not always instant as what you mostly read here. :)

I'm waiting two days for withdrawal of 0.2 BTC, 0 confirmations.
From all exchanges where I trade, here is the biggest commission of BTC withdrawal.
I have wrote three tickets more than 24h ago - silence.
Maybe Cryptsy time is coming?

From which exchange did you withdraw? it's normal these days to experience delays even days of delays in transaction confirmations. Exchange sites do not send the transactions with a high fee when you withdraw which sometimes may result to it being stucked in the network. if you see that there is still a transaction hash provided, it means that they have sent it already, it's not the exchange fault but blockchain itself. Can you provide the txn hash ? Also please create a separate thread because this one is already an old thread. You can get. ore help if you have your own thread.

Problem is the amount is not yet reflected in your account.

Contact both exchanges especially Poloniex as your coins should be landed here. Just have some patience waiting as both exchanges are having a poor support response right now.

This thread is kinda old anyway.
