Just registered on the forum as I'm new to bitcoin and wanted to say hello and join the community. Hope everyone is going well. Was awful to hear about that poor guy that lost almost 500k worth. Yes, that was really really bad. Hopefully the hacker community knows how important it is now, to keep the whole Bitcoin system reliable and safe. But with Bitcoin you essentially have cash on your computer like you would have cash in your home. You wouldn't leave 400k of cash in you living room, would you? There is a great sticky post how to keep your wallet save. |
