Ford has said it will cancel a $1.6bn (£1.3bn) plant it planned to build in Mexico and instead extend operations at its factory in Michigan.

The US car giant will spend $700m on expanding the plant at Flat Rock.

Ford said it needed to re-organise to use existing facilities more efficiently amid falling sales of its smaller cars.

The President-elect has criticised both Ford and its rival General Motors over production of models in Mexico.

Earlier, Donald Trump tweeted his disapproval of GM's production of the Chevy Cruze in Mexico.

It is a bit much and were never going to be there. But I did like it and saved the pic anyways.

Who said Trump couldn't do anything? With a simple tweet plus a threat of taxing goods he brought back jobs. So how much did that cost the american government? a minute of the president's time, that's it! See how efficient he is saving tax payer money.

He already brought a couple of thousands new work places is almost 2 months and he's not even in the White House. I can surely say, that he might actually do something in US that will greatly help and improve the employment rate, I can't wait to see what will he do in the next few years while in the oval office.

Just a formal question: isn't it against forum rules to get all this nazi stuff on a thread?

I mean from your avatar to your thread title, it's all more or less nazi related, it's something accepted on the forum?

Well not like I really care, I prefer to know who I'm talking to.
But what's the link with your subject?

I mean how Trump policies making Ford staying a bit in USA linked to Hitler? Oo

It is not against the forum rules. There is an active thread with the op saying "Let's be honest - black people are the dumbest race on this planet. Some time ago (I swear to God it was good times!) they were classified as animals. How can YOU think we are equal?" Complete and utter bull crap.

Oh. Oh ok.

Well I guess it's logical to have a complete freedom of expression on a forum linked to btc. But I thought illegal activities were prohibited on the forum, my bad then. Seems it's not the case.

After all the advantage of letting people like him say and show whatever they want is that at least you know what kind of person they are ^^

Trump is good. This means a lot if jobs to offer. Bit sad on Mexico. Trump is just an anti-mexican old man thats why i think thats the reason why Ford canceled the billion dollar deal with Mexico. Its okay tho. Mexico still got Lambo. ;D

Why you are so concerned about the Mexicans? American tax payers must be subsidizing factories which provide jobs to their citizens, rather than wasting their money in giving tax breaks to those plants which employ Mexican slave labor.

Like Donald Trump always said “Make America Great Again" , yeah and he did it even before he is officially US President. Ford been forced to retreat their plan in Mexico otherwise Donald Trump will be punish them hard. Poor Mexican people, thousands of jobs missing while it increasing in United States. I don't know why there still many American complaining, they are living in the dream land.

Trump's Pro American is really beneficial to USA.He is getting back the jobs sent overseas,I hope that the BPO will not be affected too much.I think this is the start of his policies and more pro-American decision to come. Good for them.

Mexico's sad is that its own market capacity is not enough, if there are hundreds of millions of car sales, Ford estimates will not easily withdraw investment.

I think you are oversimplifying the situation. Trump is a populist and also not very smart. What is acceptable in business may be quite acceptable in politics. Who will work where there are Mexicans? Who will buy expensive goods? Trump does not fulfill its promises!

Illegal where?

Because sorry to tell you that but your kind and everything related to nazism is completely illegal in the vast majority of civilized world. I'm not saying it's a good thing but it is the case.

And I'm pretty sure that glorifying nazism as you're doing is forbidden in nearly all the West except for the USA maybe.

The glorification of Nazism is forbidden, but that does not mean that the idea of nationalism will not support in society. Migrants arrive from the wild and uneducated countries. The Germans do not understand and unable to restore order if this is not done by the government.

Trump is more interested in factory jobs, than the jobs in IT and BPO sectors. IT/BPO jobs in the United States are mostly concentrated in states such as California and Washington, which are solid Democrat strongholds. Factory jobs on the other hand, are concentrated in states such as Wisconsin, Ohio, Minnesota, Indiana, Pennsylvania.etc, where both the parties are are almost equal in strength.

First: It was not the subject. All I said was that Nazism is forbidden and glorifying it is forbidden too so this thread is illegal in most Europe.

Second: I also strongly believe that nationalism can't support society. First because nationalism means protectionism so closing your country. Which is impossible or at least incredibly difficult, you can't close your borders just because you don't want people to come in... Otherwise you want to let only goods to come in and forbid people from going through that's the idea?
Moreover I find it extremely amusing how the whole Europe is worrying about its security and "order" while we've been destroying entire countries in the last century. Europe wants to stop migrants? Well maybe stop bombing the shit out of middle east and stop invading Africa, stop colonization also that could be a good idea...

You are wrong. Europe can easily close their borders. The formal cause is always possible. These migrants do not adapted to life in a civilized society. In addition, the wave of migration provoked the bombing of Russia, and not Europe.

Who will buy the more expensive fords? Additionally, the plant shut down is not profitable. Businesses will produce expensive fords for the domestic market and cheaper in Mexico for export. Does that mean there will be more jobs?

Don't be delusional, those jobs are never coming back. The Chinese are working 12 hour days, living in communal rooms on factory grounds. Unless America is willing to go all third world on it's workers, it will never happen. It's over. China won.

Wahou, are you just implying that Europe started attacking and destabilizing ME after terrorist attacks?
Cause that's not the case...
And Europe has 14 000km of borders. You gonna tell me that it's "easy" to close completely something like that?

Nothing Trump has not started to run. Just for his stupid chatter of the Corporation took the strategy of waiting. If he really will try to fulfill their promises, the Americans will buy fords in Mexico, but in America businesses will be closed.

Americans can buy their fords in Mexico, but on their re-entry to the United States, a 35% tax will be levied on these vehicles. The tax money will go towards rehabilitating the workers, who were laid off by ford in the US.
