Title: What software do you want for the bitcoin sector?
Post by: Deep BTC on January 04, 2017, 05:47:32 PM
Give ideas to those who want to improve the project. What kind of projects are needed. What software you need to be related to Bitcoin. Do you have any ideas that I would definitely use if there was software like this?

Are you ask for free project ideas?

Well, nowadays bitcoin project have a lot out there which implement a "real world needs" sector or the technical/bitcoin needs itself.
I just can tell to you, if you want to build a project, see around you, what a problem, what people around you needs, than implement it, combine with bitcoin/blockchain.

Hmm, thats the million dollar question I believe.
Pretty much everything for fiat has been made for Bitcoin, even more!

If someone comes up with an idea, I'd like to help out with their idea in any way I can :)

We need some application that would stimulate adoption { some killer APP } This could be in the form of a game or social media platform using

Bitcoin as the sole payment option. We also need a tipping service to replace ChangeTip ... preferably something off-chain with zero fees.

Most of all, we need a decentralized exchange that cannot be taken down.  ;)

How about an AIO wallet ? Today there are so much different wallets, someone could put an end to this and create a versatile cross platform (android and ios included) bitcoin wallet with built in features from armory, HD wallets, simple wallets, daemon features, fast synch ? all of these in just a single wallet could be great for the propagation of the bitcoin.
Or, a pay per head scratch device.

What is more important than Bitcoin is actually the technology behind it. There is no limit to what can be done with Blockchain technology.

Some of those:

* Banking
* Voting and Selection Systems
* Internet of the Things
* Money Transfers
* Cyber security
* E-Commerce and Payments
* Online Music Sector
* Stocks
* Health care
* Identity Management Systems
* Donation Systems
* Copyright

Exactly. You can literally apply this to anything. Just make something useful and easy to use. I think that's one of the biggest issues bitcoin faces, ease of use for people that aren't as technical as us.

No. I do not want to do anything about Blockchain right now. I just want to develop software that will take the needs of people who use bitcoin.

What makes it difficult to work with your bitcoin?

I think the wallets need to be chosen according to their needs. So it does not make much sense for me to try to collect all the different features of all the wallets in a single wallet. It must be certain that the software served the purpose. This is my idea.

I feel right now the biggest issue (apart from deeply technical stuff and devs various standpoints) is poor mobile platform support.
Bitcoin might be excellent competitor for credit/debit cards and traditional FIAT payment processors. But surprisingly it is not.
I would like to see killer ultimate payment app, integrating fiat & bitcoin payments. Something that could be used for everything.
Counterpart of credit card, paypal, standard bank transfer and more - and everything powered by bitcoin and interchangeable with fiat of your choice.

For now, the biggest problem in the Bitcoin is the approval of payments.
Bitcoin is a system that will change the current banking mindset. Bitcoin-related payment systems can be developed. But as I said, the biggest problem is the approval times of payments. Maybe a software to solve this problem can be developed.

How about this site?

I haven't had the honor to try them out yet so I wouldn't know if it has zero fees yet.
Will let you know when I have tried them out.

I'm not sure if this exists. I know there was a browser plugin that offered something like this.
It would be cool to have a service that allowed you to buy literally anything for BTC. Load up a website and add something to your basket. Using your plugin/browser add-on you could then pay for said goods using BTC. If there was some way of integrating this with purse.io or some site that actually offered cashback or a discount when usingBTC then it would be even better!

I have seen a plugin that offers virtual bitcoin debit card for a limited time (If i'm not mistaken it was for 30min).

So you had to send the bitcoin to an addresses provided by this plugin/extension and then the card was loaded and ready to be used to pay for whatever you need to.

Do you have more information about this? A link or something would do. There used to be a service like the one I mentioned but they stopped operating if I remember correctly.
If that could be integrated with some rewards/discount priveliiges then it'd make the service even better.

Edit: Where are my manners? Thank you :)
