I mean, a simple CNAME here would make all our lives a lot simpler...

Was thinking the exact same thing today... With all of the DDoS attacks going on recently you can never be too sure when a website doesn't show up...

btcguild.com actually points to the US Central server (which could probably use a simple HTML redirect). Before that point, it was a round-robin DNS.

How difficulty is it to type www? ;)

Since the US Central server that it points to obviously already has a web server running, which is displaying a generic page, it should be pretty easy to add a redirect there to the www.btcguild.com server.

As of last night the index page of btcguild.com (no www) does a redirect to www.
