A good dip. Time to buy more bitcoin while there is still time to do so. In a few more weeks it may start to climb back up again.

I think it's a good time to grab more bitcoins , but the price is really moving fast like in two mins or so it moved from 870 to 910

I tend to agree. You will only end up with a loss if you sell at this prices and not now when to buy back.
Sure, nobody nows what really is going to happen, but at this moment holdnig for the longer term seems to be the only wise thing to do.

In november the price was 610, today 1130, just think about that when you are making business trades.

I thought we have more time until price drops hard but seems like I thought wrong :) and I think we all knew this will happen sooner or later and the new year had a big part for price to increase insanely, what we can do and should do is to remain calm in this situation. $945 now.

You can't blame those who are panicking in selling their coins, we have our own thoughts, that telling maybe sooner price will dump to 700 or maybe to 500 so others are selling and there are some thoughts that this is just temporary and will stay at 900 to 1000. So we can't do about that. But I'm in holder team, I will not sell, and never do it ever.

You're right op cos if everybody decide to sell their bitcoin will be more worst. I'm going to hold mine at the moment and I see no reasoning in selling my coin since I get them when the price at $767 so I have nothing to loose.

Yup, the fall is fast! I am try to figure out the bottom so I can add more just like that bitfinex hack event and how btc fell. I am sure btc will recover after some time. Now is the window of opportunity to add more.

You should either hold or buy more in these situations IMO, don't panic sell unless you want to follow the buy high sell low strategy  ;D I'd personally hold, we've still gone up a large amount since the beginning of this rally (from +-800$ to 950$), and I think we'll go sideways from here for a while.

the correct statement is "you should either be a professional trader or hold your bitcoin."
you can open reddit/r/bitcoin and search for guy losing (don't recall amount :D) trying to short bitcoin. and so many similar stories we don't hear about but they are real and happen every day to newbies.

Lol. Just a hoax. There is no evidence and such announcement regarding that issue from coinbase, besides the price drop is always highly possible because of the huge price pump of bitcoin. Bitcoin whale holders will definitely sell their stock btc because this is the opportunity to have huge profit

Well, I planned to sell my bitcoin when it reaches $1250. Seem like my plan has fail LOL. Those panic sellers never know when is the good time to sell Bitcoin. Bitcoin will rise again, but not in this month. I have to wait again and again

I saw many sell wall on the exchange and the panic selling just only began.
I predict that it will spike down at 810$-860$ - the bottom line and then it will bounce up .

the fact is that this is the only big problem with the crypto industry.  the prices are based on nothing more than the whims of a large group of mindless cows.  i am not saying that it is a bad thing that the price is volatile, just that it is near impossible to get people to accept this as a standard currency as long as four or five guys on a couple chat boards can manipulate the price so easily.  this is the biggest hurdle that must be gotten over.

I'd say 830-970$ range(bound) is likely for the near future.
Yet i'm not sure the "big dumper" is done

careful with that automation, well buy and sell orders that will fill when possible, just hate to come back after 8 hours at the office and see that something was bought at 800 and the current price is then 600, or the other way around

all people experience this. Yag even traders have experienced in this world. decline is very high. leading to chaos in many bitcoin exchange. however this time bitcoin prices began to stabilize and survive in numbers 950USD.

That's about 25% of my stash.
I've sold those coins for profit at 1000$+ yesterday, so risk is definetely acceptable to me.
Moreover sure sh*t happens, but i feel it's less likely to go under 800$ for now.

I don't think that is going on at all. The recent ramp up sent us into silly territory as prices got way ahead of any logical price. It was high time for a correction. I know its brutal out there but this is exactly how a free market operates.  The U.S. stock markets also used to do this. Now there a million controls on the market and it is even shut sown if it drops to fast. That is actual manipulation. What you are seeing in the BTC market today is what happens when there is no ability to control the sell/buy decisions of individuals.
It really comes down to speculation. Many BTC speculators do not give a shit about bitcoin. They are trying to make dollars or Euro. They drive up the price in a frenzy then reality sets in and people realize that the price no longer makes sense. Those speculators then dump their coins and... POP!
It has happed many times before and is going to happen again. All is well.

It was expected in the first place as traders can take profit while at the same time will eventually make some another good rounds of buying. Good thing that some dumps happen recently so that we can test where will the price will established it's correction price. Right now it was slow down and hopefully this is the new floor for the so called "bottom".

Now be ready to packs bag again as for sure another road to the moon is on progress.

I think personally, as bitcoin is not just a digital currency but also a commodity. Many who have already support buy investing in bitcoin, they have got already huge benefit.

But in the mean while there are many reasons why bitcoin become more interesting and popular, due to them value of bitcoin already goes up and in coming years it will skyrocket again.

I bought at $989 as I saw it rising. Now it is coming back to $1000 placement again with it right now at $975 and climbing steadily now.

looks like the dump has stopped, price is climbing again, currently 1,000.42 on bitcoinaverage.com as i write this. good thing for those who still hold their coins and didn't panic coz of the dump. now we can see $1,200 or $1,300? :)

I'm buying $100,000 to $1,000,000 (U.S.D) worth of bitcoin a day, a dip is a just a discount that I just appreciate. Also, I will not sell any of these coins either. These coins I buy are taken off the market.

I do not call it panic selling it looks more manipulation than panic selling  will not drop price such quickly but after watching this big drop nobs may start to panic sell their Bitcoin this may cause huge drop in price but maybe pros may pump this price again just to get more profit.

I'm on your side man, not waste any coin in panic selling.
The temptation to sell in higher price and some big traders sell out to get profits had triggered this situation.
But, there is no point to involve in such panics if we're believe in bitcoin bright future. The dip is a sign to buy more cheaper bitcoin before the train left the station again.

You must realize that werent nothing under the big value bitcoin has achieve at Christmas as well New Year, those periods bitcoin were pumped without a valid reason, some thinked it were a bigger demand, something that hasnt happened at all. Atleast with this dump its clear someone has huge influence and wanna to test the walls at bitcoin, and for now looks like the price were being manipulated.

Well, maybe panic selling caused prices to drop dramatically at this time. perhaps if those who hold bitcoin bitcoin they do not sell in large quantities maybe it's not going to happen. but, to be left to sell at high prices make people think that now is a good time to sell bitcoin.

I think it will be back 1,000$ or more. it is testing at 850-860$ before bouncing up 1,000$ in 24 hours.

Even the way it is now, based on my own little understanding I am beginning to have some feelings on how the price moves like someone is influencing the price somewhere in the sense that, more people are buying then the price increase, we move again to people selling, then the price begins to drop thereby creating a panic for more selling for the price to dip further, then all of a sudden again, it start increasing... I really do not understand...

If you are in it for the long haul always hold it. This dip does not worry me. It's an opportunity to buy more.

Thank you for you advance. I see that this can be a bear trap, They intentionally sell to cause panic because they have much more profit already and then they buy bitcoin with cheap price. I will wait for new bottom line to cover cheap bitcoins.

This is what I mean in some of my post. People are just happily carried away because of the price pump to over $1,100 but when suddenly it drops they really called it as a crash. Price increase happens in just a matter of short period of time so what they are expecting? Maintain it to the top? That is not possible since there are hoarders who wants to take profit.

What matters is as long as we are around $1000 then that is better. It's good to see the bottom price in that range compare to last year.

The dip might be temporary as the bitcoin price climbed back again and is fluctuating between $930 and $990. It always up and down for the bitcoin because of its high volatility and it may worsen by some factors like speculations and panic-selling.

some people even think that cryptocurrency market are baseless.

there is no clear indicator, only about supply and demand. financial crisis here and there causing the bitcoin demand increasing but sometimes did not have any affect to the bitcoin price , really strange actually to see cryptocurrency market.

I don't call it panic selling, it feels more like market is refreshing to start again from a new position. This will help motivate people to join the bitcoin hype train.
Next push will be even better, and the cycle will continue... Until the moon will be reached.
