I just bought more Bitcoins, as it was under 1000$, do you think that it was a good choice?

this is one of those questions that you have to find the answer to yourself.

- with buying bitcoin you have joined the revolutionary currency of the future and you benefit from all the good things this technology is offering you.
- your identity is safe when doing purchases because you don't give your personal information to the merchants.
- bitcoin is a decentralized currency that has no central authority to tell you how to use your money.

- transactions are extremely fast, you can send money in matter of seconds (not talking about confirmation)
- there are only 21 million coins max and there are billions of people.

now do you think it was a good idea to buy bitcoin?

Good choice? Maybe Yes Maybe No.

For what is the purpose you did bought? For trading? For usage? If for trading, that will under the cateogry of price volatility which we all don't know as bitcoin price is unpredicatable. Take closely with the price monitoring so that you won't be late for every actions. With the current price like this, expect some surprising situations out of it.

For usage services, then no need reasons why you should use bitcoin in the first place. :)

Preev rate now is $975 so if you are going to sell now that means you just loss $25 plus some fees if you buy BTC when it was still at $1,000 but if you have enough patience and can withstand the pressure from different Bitcoin speculators that's says its time to sell or hold then keep it for now and sell when you reached your target. What is your target selling price anyway?

What do you mean under 1000$ did you but at 999 or 700 or what amount first specify it. You have done a good job by buying Bitcoins but have you brought it at a good price is subject to discusssion. A) you brought at low price and it increases you will be happy good choice. B) you bought at high price btc crashes, you will regret it is bad choice. So now wait and watch, buying btc is a good thing. Just be patient with it. Hope you shall reap good profits.

That's the right choice from you. Sure the price of bitcoin rises more by the coming days, also the price won't go beyond the current price. So buying now sure gives profit in a short or with gradual increase surely benefits you.

You should wait for new bottom line at 850$. Maybe it can be shown in next week. The downtrend is on the way.

i think its a good choice for you and if you can tell us in how much price you bought then we can give more advice or suggestion because for now, the price is reduce but i am sure that the price will be up again, its only a matter of time will give the answer.

Hi...though I can say is a good idea..cause the increase goes high yours too multiply and that's for future gain....but the other side of it is that when the rate of  bitcoin decreases it affect your Bitcoin...play wise

I agree that holding bitcoin is the best option to have profit because it will sure increase price in the next couple of years so no matter what is the current price you buy it, It is always a good decision because you can guarantee to have profit if you just store it and never convert even though the price drops. Bitcoin halving is an assurance thta a price inflation can occur in the future because the supply of bitcoin is only limited.

Better to buy bitcoins when its price is cheaper than the rates today. The price still too high even though it experienced a sharp drop a day ago.

It is a quite good choice since the prices will keep fluctuating around this amount. In the end of June, we expect Bitcoin prices will increase up to $2000 and if you can hold until that time, you can earn some profit from it. The prices are cheap right now so buy it before it is too late.

Believe on yourself, you actually did a good choice by buying below $1,000. Don't worry about it because the price will increase again before the Chinese New year.

Even though you bought Bitcoin @ 1000$ and now it is in 960$+ it is still ok don't be sad and do not sell it because of the low price. Just wait for a little longer then Bitcoin will surely pass 1000$ and will just play over 1000$ not 1000$ below. It is not risky if you are just going to hold Bitcoin because when the price become lower many people will buy again then the more people who buy Bitcoin then the price will go up also.

Bitcoin does seem to be in a good spot though. The correction was badly needed as it rose way to fast.

Just don't panick when the price starts dropping another 100 or so. It is very difficult to pick the bottom to enter.

It is upto you that how are you buying and what is your buying limit, if you are buying in split in dip then it is very good and on every dip just buy it and wait for atleast 6 months you will surely get more profit

No, I'm not agree with you about the price will go down, because from my view bitcoin price will rise up, and after month price will be 1500-1600$. Good job OP, keep them you will get x2 price

The price will rise until the bubble will burst, and then a new price rise will come and so on. It's just like every time the price rose very fast: things cannot go up forever. Now we went back to under $1000 because of the Chinese Yen that rose up in the last few days.

Now it is in unpredictable stage we don't know exactly how it will be in next few month may be up or may be down. But definitely it will reach 1500$ one day definitely but don't how long it will take.

I've never said the price will go down, I said "the rise will slow down", so I meant the pace of rising will be slower than it was recently. ;)

i see that many of my friends has been stuck with bitcoin because they are bought bitcoin when the price is high and now we can see that the price is down in under. but for people that not yet bought bitcoin, i think this is the right time to buy or you might want to wait for a while to see how much the price will be go down so you can get bitcoin in bottom price.

It is good to take risk, some bought it at higher price though but I think it will survive not going below $1k at the end of the year. There ways to multiply it if you can take the risk also but wont advice storing like others

If your goal is for long term then its a good choice and wise decisions, just dont push the panic button when you see some free fall again, think long term and hold your coins.

I think you did a mistake because when bitcoin hit 1000$+,everyone who were holding bitcoin for 5 or 6 months they sold their bitcoin.And so why bitcoins price has fall down.You should think twice before take decision.Now bitcoins price is under 900$.And its not good for you.I don't know whats coming in future but its better to sold bitcoin now.May be bitcoins price will fall more in future.

Sometimes you think it's the time to buy and you hesitate but later on you'll see that you should've bought and regret why you didn't.
I think buying bitcoins for long term holding in unused addresses at any given price as long as it's the market price is a good and wise choice.

Lets face it, we all know and believe bitcoin will someday for sure hits $5000+ but we just stall and have our doubts but when price was $750 I bet you wanted to buy as much as you could but now you are crying for not doing that and now that price drops under $1000 you buying, well you can wait for another opportunity to buy in at $800 and below, think again.

I believe the dumping had began so it will be wise at the moment to sell and then hope to buy again if it stabilizes or falls way too low when you'll be able to buy more with few fiat.

Buying bitcoins right now in my opinion was not a very good idea, since the price is very high and it might go down at any moment now. You can just buy bitcoins later and add some to your bitcoin portfolio to have some good profit when a price rise happen. If you have bought bitcoin only for the sake of using it, It was not a very bad idea since you can just use it now to pay services but it wasn't a good idea buying now if it was for investments, altcoin trading, etc.

For every $100 dip, I will buy one bitcoin.

Never buy with all your money at once. Do it in steps of 10% each time, as that will basically allow you to buy all the way down if you time it right. That's exactly what I have been doing since 2013. Same basically goes up when it comes to cashing out profits. Sell in steps of 10% each time all the way to the top. If you buy or sell with all your money at once, then you miss out big time if the price keeps going up or down further. I won't be surprised if the price will dive below $800 any time soon. No guarantees of course, but have some money aside for when that happens.

Hodling. I won't buy until it goes under 700€.

If you have enough coins to hold, then it's not a problem for you to keep waiting. But I am sure there are a lot people that secured profits over $1000 and are now tempted to buy back. I am in that situation as well. I already have enough coins to keep holding, but it feels good to be able to buy at prices $150 lower than where I sold at. I think I'll wait a bit longer since I am not in a hurry to buy.

Buy a little every month and don't try to time the market.
If you believe in the long-term potential of bitcoin, that should be your strategy.

This right here.  Nobody knows which way we're headed.  Right now we're in a huge correction, and it's absolutely possible that it's a great time to buy.  But OP here is gambling, and everyone here who bought bitcoin recently is gambling (on a price increase).  Including myself, though I didn't buy a whole lot.

i have been buying bitcoin in the past two days silently and whenever price goes to the $830+$20 because that price seems to be a good support level from what i have been seeing in the USD market and from the equivalent values in the Chinese markets.
and we are already back to $900+ for another time.

There are only two options - it will be approved and then the price will skyrocket up up up to the space ..or it will be denied and the price will go down again to lower levels, where you will have a chance to gather more coins for a nice price. :) Personally, I think it will be denied, but no one can be sure in this wild turbulencing world. 8)

In buying more bitcoins you could have higher profit after holding the bitcoin that you bought, because if the price will rise specially this month and for the next succeding month you can sell it and have the profitthat you have expected. But the worst things is, if the price will no climbing up so high and may fails your expectations could confuse you and even results to panic selling.

After less than two months the decision of the opener has turn out to be accurate, since he said he bough below 1000 even if consider he bought at 999.99, the price currently is 1175 and that give to us earnings of 17.5% in less than two months which is simply amazing.

Right, after 2 months bitcoin definitely going to high more than its mean too late to buy the bitcoin in this time. It is because for me, bitcoin give us profit simply for its price wise, than take the decision to buy the bitcoin on the right time, and if we lose the chance than its mean it is our lose.

Most has indicated that bitcoin proposal for ETF has the probability of around 70% to get approved. Based on this there will be a big increase in price. So sure its good to make more and more bitcoins to benefit in a short.

but make sure first that you also do some time to time monitoring since anytime price would drop nor fall and this situation is really a big no to miss since we can lose money if we cannot attain on btc world. And i believe also that if we stake our coins for more year well surely make us wealthy since i really believe and got a high confidence that we will gonna see some big step up on btc price.

It is a good idea for the wealthy group to purchase coins with every dip and i can understand that who ever invested in bitcoin has gained a substantial amount of profit and if the bull run and bubble continues we would see more price increase but i am not interested to buy anything at this price as i do not want to risk my bank roll.

Considering Bitcoin price today, that really was a good choice.  You already enjoying a $100+ profit with your BTC.  And it will increase if ever the most awaited ETF decision approved the price will increase further probably another $300  more

Point is that you don't have to force yourself to buy a whole Bitcoin. Especially when you consider that the majority of the people can't afford it already. Gold and Bitcoin are both divisible currencies that allow people to own just a fraction of the whole if you so wish. Neither of the two options are hard to get regardless of the price if you keep the divisible nature of the two options in mind.

I agree that it is tempting to buy Bitcoin at this price since there are lots of hype about ETF being approved.  But if you ask me I would rather wait for the ETF to be approved then buy Bitcoin or, if there is some dip (same thing that happen the other day).  I would say there is a possibility that this bull run may turn into a bull trap once ETF is not approved and probably you may buy more bitcoin because of the decline in price.  And if ever ETF is approved, you can buy bitcoin and still have a good reason to since price will be continuously rise due to the ETF approval effect.

its the best price that OP was bought bitcoin in under $1000 and depending with the price now which is $11xx, i think OP can get big profit if he said he buy more bitcoin and he decide to sell at now. like BitFinnese said, OP is get more than $100 per bitcoin and he can made $1000 if he have 10 bitcoin in his wallet. but if you want to make more bigger profit, then you should waiting for a while, but to sold now, you have made nice profit, but remember don't be greedy to expecting more profit because you already made big profit now. good to know that there is a person that could make big profit like OP and i hope i can follow his step to earn more bitcoin too.

well I wouldn't be too sure about it to be honest, there is a good chance that bitcoin price is going to go down if it is on a pump at the moment, despite that it is always good to buy bitcoins because its price is going to go up in a longer run no matter what.

how do you know that the price is going to keep on growing? it is growing for a really long time already and i wouldn't be so confident about it because as always after a huge growth comes a huge drop.

Most of the time we have experienced the same price drop after a big increase in price. This time too the price is increasing for a long, so anything unexpected too can also happen. Possibly bitcoin will not make people end up in loss, so buying more unlike the price increase seems to be the best to profit.

I also believe that the current price could be a nice entry point considering that it has been a while that it has stayed in that level. I used to say that I am going to wait for the price to go below $1000 but it not come at all since we can’t even go down $1150 anymore. Still, anything is possible and I just have to be ready when an opportunity presents itself.

It went down to $750 and people were fearing that it could even crash back to $200 - $400 levels. But it rose back up and now it's stronger than ever. It wouldn't go back down to $1,000 and it seems that we'll see more uptrend in the near future and would probably be hitting at least $1,500 before year's end.

Bitcoin just hitted the bottom and now it's going up again. If you haven't bought more bitcoins to this moment, do it now or you will regret it one week later. ;)
On Mar 30 there will be another ETF denial and then the price will rocket to its previous hights again or even above it. 8)

One did you try to buy bitcoin? Since the bitcoin hit the ground of $920 per bitcoin if you are going to buy now and then hold it for one month or this coming month maybe we can get atleast 234 dollar per coins that we are going to restore think always when we are depending on bitcoin.

It will back over $1100 in less than a week much easy at this stage while price is moving crazy with ups and downs trend there. I secured some as much as I can afford to put into my savings at $905.

I doubt if the market is reacting to ETF news any more. We are back to discussing the scaling issue and whether or not BTU will trigger a hard fork. The real moonshot will come when the scaling debate is behind us and there is no possibility of a fork.

Bitcoin market seems to be driven by emotions a lot and sometimes it looks like it almost doesn't matter what kind of info can make people restles. ;D But you are right, that the danger of hard fork influences current situation on the market the most. I talked about ETF primary because we already know some particular date of the decission, so people are focused on it.

And by the way, today I heard some unofficial info, that BU is rejected already, so lets see what will happen with btc price in next few hours / days...  ;) 🚀

Nice rollercoaster for sure ! My price to buy more (750€) hasn't been reached, but on the other hand I hodled without even thinking about selling despite the huge drop, and my coins (partly mined partly bought) I all got under 600€, so still way in the positive.

I must say my stock portfolio is a lot less crazy and still brings a nice return though, I'm not ready to put as much money in Bitcoin than in stocks.

Not sure what will happen in next week but hoping to see higher price and only on that basis have taken a risk of buying some bitcoins with current price and if price moves on in positive direction from here then can give good profits to me and will prefer to hold till it doesn't reaches my target price.

I kind of got mad a while ago for the bitcoin fall, now that is going back and rising I feel better. Maybe because of that "unofficial statement" that is why those panic sellers are going back and buying more making bitcoin rise. Just my speculation though. Haven't heard the news until now.

I think you have taken right decision, i also think same, price might be higher than what it was yesterday but the differences was not much. still the price is low try to buy more coins, few days back we saw the value touched more than 1200, so again the price will touch to this value
but it needs little time to adjust appropriately. hold the btc and sell it when the price at least touches somewhere around 1200 .

It is a buy time infact you have bought more coins in this price which is pretty good. i will talk about last week where the price was in 4 digits so hoping the price to reach at the earliest to the 4 digits so you and i can sell the coin to get the benefit. i think price will sure raise again due to some issue with these BTC and BTU separation there are some predication made that price gone down because of this reason. so the price has gone down that means once the problem gets sorted completely then the price will again rise up.

No doubt that price has gone down at a moment but still it cannot be considered as a too low price of bitcoins as it didn't fall back to extreme level and that proves that people still have faith in potential of bitcoins and will continue to invest their money in it and if same continues then no one can stop in taking bitcoin price to higher level.

well i would say that you have made a good choice by buying that amount of bitcoins,well even if you have bought 1 bitcoins,you might have earned a lot of money through that bitcoin.

There are thousands of threads like this you could bump to show they did well to buy... The same as there will be thousands you can bump after the next major crash to say they did badly. Obviously this one guy made the right choice given the information we now have.

Buying more bitcoin at this time is still able to give profit for us, because bitcoin price is still increasing, bitcoin become a very good investment choice.

As the price increase is continuing towards a new milestone of $2000, it's initial price move started from $1200 and no crossing several barriers now getting closer to $1900. This seems to be a positive response from the users all around, also it's due to the big investment coming into circulation from Japan. More the adoption from neighbouring countries will encourage the growth far more than the present price.

I agree, there are still  some major companies in Japan that is waiting for their licenses so they can join the Bitcoin economy.  I agree on buying more BTC because it will continue to increase in price.  Aside from that the only holding Bitcoin back is the scaling problem, but it was outweighed by the hype of this good news about bitcoin adoption.

Yup. Buying more is the only logically option because of the price increase. Although for some, buying at the high price is not good. But as for me, if you are going to invest into bitcoin, invest it for long term because the price is going up and it is very stable. Japan, Australia Switzerland are all going to hype it even more. So expect a good price, so buying is a good option now.

Sure,you are reaping the benefits now.You bought it for $1000 and its now $1804.Also if you bitcoins now in such a high price,then you should not expect short gterm benefits and it should be a long term investment.If you need short term benefits,you could choose an altcoin instead.

Buying more bitcoin isn't a good idea especially today because as you can see the bitcoin price is still rising. I recommend if you want to double your money you should buy bitcoins if its value is low. But if you are going to trade...its much better because you could buy more altcoins.

I agree that at this moment it isn't a good idea to buy bitcoin due to its high price and it's getting more higher but this thread was posted 4 months ago so it means that he already bought bitcoin and probably made a profit from it .

I guess there are some people who get caught up when prices are high and now bitcoin we can see that the price of the bitcoin now start ascending so many that sell their bitcoin but there are bought in when the price raise, you should buy when prices decline, bitcoin this time not right to buy because the price goes up but this time the right to sell as prices increased and we will benefit greatly
