basically, all you need to do is visit some famous faucet sites like freebitco.in and rent their banner for xx number of days or depends on how much budget you can spend for it. don't know much about what faucets today still have loyal users tho but i guess you know some of them. just don't advertise to not crypto related sites or you will just waste your money there

Here are some tips for running a famed faucet:

  • Pay rates should be 300-1000 satoshi per hour
  • Try contacting websites to allow ads for your faucet.
  • Run an exchange within your faucet. People love to exchange in websites where faucets can cover up trade fees.
  • Setup a good name and logo as well as design for your faucet
  • Run a blog or update Crypto News from time-to-time in your faucet to attract more people.
  • Make a unique game to claim from your faucet and make your faucet worth people's time.
  • For starter, I'd suggest you to divide your balance into 3 and pay users in BTC and 2 other famous Altcoins.
Good Luck, friend :)

I have a couple of methods -

1. Purchase ads on a specific site or advertising network
2. Create multiple sites and back link them to each other
3. Work on your SEO
4. Do promotions with bitcoin (Double payouts for a certain day, etc)

Would it be a good idea to get targeted traffic from search engines (such as Google) to your faucet?
Perhaps if you're able to buy some space for cheap keywords.

Otherwise, advertising on Bitcoin related blogs/websites would also be a good idea.
It's useless for us to list them all here, just go looking for them.

in my opinion its just a waste of money, you will just only get fake visitors from there as most clickers don't even interested on what they can see on PTC sites they just click and earn nothing more. ads on some faucet sites is much better, you will be sure that crypto faucet users will see your ads and posibly you might get them if your rewards are good

Faucets are not profitable so you can't run ads for faucet in adnetworks but if you are ok with putting money from your own pocket than you can advertise on bitcoin adnetworks paying per click or paying per 1000 impression.

There is also free method where you can post about your site in several forums, webpages and ask faucet rotator owner to list your faucet in their rotator. To attract more faucet rotator you can give high referral commission as well as to get repeated visitors run several contests and give bonuses to active claimers.

Best way is making thread on micro-earning board for your faucet site, also browser micro-earning permanently
you will learn everything about faucet field

Before you start promoting your faucet you should remove that annoying pop up you have in your site. It simply redirects visitors from your faucet to adpage which is not good for your faucet, no any faucet rotator or faucet list gonna list your faucet. Try to have normal ads in your faucet rather than pop up and pop under ads.

It is why I offer adspace for search engines:(on over 50 pages at the top)

I kinda disagree with that, though you're correct that most clicks won't get you any customers, but a few will and they're very cheap.

The thing is that people who visit these PTC sites are usually the kind of people that would also be interested in faucets, it just depends on how many returning visitors you can get from a campaign and how much you pay for it.

I do not want to disappoint you but Faucet s not something I d invest time and energy into cause in the end almost all of them fail. People from developed countries do not like visiting and clicking for pennies and you ll be getting only Third world traffic which advertisers do not appreciate.

So, I d try to develop something more interesting.

It is why I have developed something interesting.
The problem here is:
If someone develops something different...it is taken for a scammer.
A good faucet well developed can not fail.
Why do faucets fail?
Because they reward more then the webmaster earn.So it is limited at the lost the webmaster can afford.

Running an own faucet is funny even if it makes not real profit for the webmaster.
Ok...the fun is limited if you just take an existant faucet you have not yourself developed.
But believe me...it is not easy to accept all the mad things you can hear here...and the more you offer...the more you are taken for a scammer.

I don't think faucet traffic is very high quality traffic. People who use faucets are people who are spending their time earning under $1 per hour.

In fact it is high quality for webmasters searching people who are spending their time earning under $1 per hour...and with under $1 you are generous...

You can also use Facebook ads and groups to get more people who have the time to click and earn some satoshis...target people who got nothing to do in social media and convince to instead earn some money while online.

you can promote to social media and also faucet sites. Ex: if you use epay, you can add your faucet to epay.

To increase traffic to your website think in unconventional way. Just introduce something that other faucets dont have. Some earning features , chat features or increase rewards per claim and decrease the time interval to attract the traffic. And dont forget you should protect your faucet from bots because by increasing rewards and decreasing time intervals gets bots attraction . Second thing is give advertisements about your faucet. You can use mellow ads free service for that. You can use adsbit or a ads for that. Start a thread in microearning section and always remember to update your thread daily. That itself will help you to get enough traffic.

I agree.
You might want to reconsider and think about the capital that you will be spending from buying ads to solve your traffic problems.
