Title: Any good Bitcoin exchange on the deep web?
Post by: Abiky on January 06, 2017, 11:42:09 AM
Do happen to know of any good Bitcoin exchange operating on the deep web that would allow me to exchange altcoins for BTC or viceversa?

I just want to be able to exchange an altcoin into BTC in an anonymous and secure way, without leaving trace of the amount of coins exchanged, etc.

Nevertheless, if you happen to know of any good exchanges, then please let me know. I would greatly appreciate your help with this.  :)

A lot at deppweb but 99% of it is a scam. Plss don't risk your money at deepweb hackers can track your wallet address and hack it or whatever they can do. Just exchange your bitcoin or trade it with the legit trading sites here in surface web. Don't go deepweb it's a big gamble to trade there :)

I think it was a bad choice. we know a lot of crime in the deep web. many viruses and malware that can infect our computers. will be a lot of people are reluctant to visit the site. I guess it was not the right choice.

Yes it is too dangerous and high risk, I think the OP can use service exchange on this forum (I think on currency exchange section it is anonymous too) or using other services exchange are like paxpul and localbitcoin.
That ways are more safe than use deepweb service for exchange the coins with taking risk for losing money.

Are you aware bout having transactions on deepweb? Deepweb is very dangerous place to exchange your btc. Though some site there is trusted. But most of them are just scam. We have a lot of exchange here. We got bitstamp, localbitcoin, coinbase etc. All of them are on clearnet and trusted exchanges. We are talking about money here. Its really hard to entrust your btc to someone whos hiding on deepweb. Those are shady people.

I do not know if there bitcoin exchange in the deep web, but if it's there I think it is very risky. Accessing the deep web has great risk, are particularly vulnerable to the hack. So I think it is not recommended because it can harm and remove all your bitcoin. We recommend to bitcoin exchange in general because it is much safer.

Mostly exchange site was offering a generated address for every transaction and why you are looking for about the deep web exchange site?
There is no exchange site in the deep web, mostly people in the deep web just use the crypto for person to person transaction.
Combining the exchange site and mixing service are already enough for you.

The closest you're going to get to this atm would be by using Bitsquare, this is a decentralized exchange which uses TOR for end-to-end encrypted communication.

Yes, exchanging with our forum members is one of the easiest anonymous way of doing it.

I heard shpeshift is not maintaining any log for our transactions and they are not obviously requiring any account set up too. So just using shapeshift through some VPN connections will be getting all the benefits of deep web.

i think all altcoin exchanger can't trace your bitcoin
from altcoin exchange to bitcoin, youre receive in bitcoin addres
and then you can transaction in deep web, your bitcoin can't trace until from altcoin the first exchange

Thanks for the advice. I thought that there was at least a trusted exchange running under the deep web that would allow me to exchange BTC in an anonymous way. If it's not worth the risk, then I guess that I'll stick with the ones in the surface web. I usually exchange BTC on instant exchanges like Shapeshift that doesn't require an account for you to exchange your coins in a sort of anonymous way.  ;)

Thanks mate for the helpful advice. I've been scammed by some deep web markets quite some time ago, and I have been very picky when it comes to hand over my BTC to the services listed out there. The only reason I made the question in the first place, was because I thought that at least there was a trusted exchange running under the deep web that would allow me to exchange my BTC in an anonymous, and secure way.  :-\

Thanks mate. Looks like it may be worth a shot. Do you happen to know if it has good liquidity? Just asking because I have seen many decentralized exchanges that have lack of liquidity.

But other than that, this might be a great solution for what I'm looking to achieve.  :)

I'm curious as to why must it be on deep web? You could just mix your coins to remove traces from where they came and where they are going. On top of that simply make an anonymous account on a site like Poloniex and use it through a VPN etc. Should be good enough, right?

I don't trust deep web exchange because most of them were scammers and it might lead you to loss of investments. Being legit and good bitcoin exchange doesn't need to be in the deep web, it should be in the world wide web for to gain trust and transparency to everyone who would like to invest.

Yeah but I was looking more into deep anonymity with the deep web, if possible. By combining Tor, VPN, and a mixer from the deep web, then I think that I could achieve true anonymity with it.

Still, if it's way too risky to become achieved at the deep web, then I would just stick to the method you gave me. It seems good enough to at least exchange coins, in an anonymous way on the surface web.

As for anonymously trading fiat for BTC, I think that there is no other way than doing it personally with cash.

Nevertheless, if there are any other methods known to help preserve my privacy when exchanging coins, then please let me know. I'm always on the look for top level privacy when transacting in cryptocurrencies.  ;)

True. But if you're careful enough to follow certain precautions, to help ensure true anonymity, then there should be nothing to worry about, in my own opinion. If you disable plugins like flash and javascript, as well as use a PC which you don't normally use connected to a VPN and Tor, then you will be safe.  ;)

Thanks for the advice, mate. That is a very common guideline to follow when ensuring anonymity within your exchanged coins. The only thing you would need to be careful though is to never do anything without a VPN, as it will expose your IP address and leave a trace of who exchanged the coins at a specific point in time.

The best way to do this would be, to follow your guidelines, in addition to use VPN and Tails OS to leave absolutely no trace of what you were doing.

Also, I've seen that a new mixing method called TumbleBit will be coming to Bitcoin, which will help ensure greater anonymity over traditional mixing services. I hope that this would turn out to become very useful once it becomes officially released. Just sharing my thoughts.  ;D

I also think that in the current state the chances of users having losses are greater than using conventional means. There are certainly ways to avoid taking unnecessary risks, such as checking other users' reviews or checking for reliable reputation systems.
It is possible that over time, with more competition in the market and more reliable reputation systems, things will become easier for users who want to use such exchanges.

The Blockchain will show every Bitcoin transaction. The best thing you could do is use a trustworthy Bitcoin mixer. I'd stay as far away from any exchange on the deep web. The sites are completely anonymous and once you send your coins it's basically like saying good bye to them. Stick to the reputable sites. Use mixers and regulated exchanges unless you want to lose your coins.

P.S I do not endorse the use of mixers but each to their own I guess...

I think if you want to be as anonymous as possible, a mixer is out of the question. You have no idea who owns that mixer, not to mention there are some scams and shady looking sites (darklaunder.com etc) which could catch you out.
I heard btc-e is a good one, it is a chinese exchange but they do have an english page. I'm pretty sure they have no trading limits, and the only thing you can;t convert into is fiat.
I guess check the reviews of a mixer before you select it (very carefully!) and use some altcoin which has anonymous features (Dash, Monero whatever).

Thanks for the advice. I would use trusted Bitcoin mixers, using Tor and VPN to exchange coins in the most anonymous way possible. I know that there is no such thing as full anonymity, but at least it would be something that could protect me from showing where the transactions originated from in the Bitcoin blockchain.

I just thought that there was at least a trusted service or exchange within the deep web that would completely exchange my BTC into any other altcoin, without leaving any trace of the transaction made at a specific point in time.  :-\

Yes. Anonymous cryptocurrencies like Dash, Monero, and ZCoin provides great privacy when it comes to transacting within them. It would be handy to take advantage of their features, by just exchanging your Bitcoin towards one of these digital currencies. An instant exchange like ShapeShift, would be ideal to achieve this task.

Nevertheless, if you or anybody else know of any other good method to exchange my Bitcoin to any other altcoin, feel free to share it with me, as I would like to remain as anonymous as possible.  ;)

Hi guys,
I have been toying with the idea of starting a deep web btc exchange. The reason I ask is that i have been looking a starting my fisrt buseiness and a first glance a truly community trusted deep web btc exchange would do realy realy well. So my first question would be what would it take to become trusted, would it be

1. Community input to the founding of the business
2. Softwear used (mixer, security, os, etc..)
3. Payment method

Any input would be great.  ;D ;D ;D

Deepweb is a hide out for illegal activities, asset trading is not a good match for deepweb because it a clean way of making money despite the risk. i suggest you use a well known site meant for btc and altcoin trading for your need. it is better to be safe than to regret.

It is very much possible that Bitcoin is being used for all the illegal activities and also in the crimes taking place. I think going for Bitcoin exchange on the deep web will not be a good option. You never know whether you are dealing with the right person or the person is trustworthy or not. Go for some legal exchange.

My opinion is dont ever dare to try it.Because in deepweb all crimes isthere. viruses hacker and everything. Example you want to buy some stuffs there, hackers can locate you and hack you. Do you know ransomware? itsa virus incomputer that the hacker can hack all of your files and you need to pay them to get it back to you.

Thanks for this tip, mate. I've learned this the hard way when I've lost several Bitcoins within an exchange on the deep web. Seeing that it is too risky to operate there due to the criminal activities involved, I think that I'm better off exchanging Bitcoin from a clearnet exchange.

The best thing that could be done to anonymize your Bitcoins would be to use Shapeshift exchange via the TOR browser, and instantly trade BTC to XMR to achieve maximum privacy. If you combine VPN with TOR, then you'll be able to achieve greater anonymity without leaving a single trace on your coins.

Things aside, I hope that as time goes by, Bitcoin would implement privacy features at some point to help prevent malicious actors or third parties from spying over your everyday transactions. Confidential transactions and schnorr signatures for the pioneer cryptocurtency will become a major boost towards increasing its privacy in the future.

But in the meantime, we could use XMR to hide our balances from prying eyes, using any exchange within the clearnet over VPN and TOR. Just my opinion :)

Hey man, please think, deep web is a very dangerous place, never seek safety there. Trust the current large exchange, you can completely make the transaction. But you are anonymous, are you doing something illegal?

Hello.
If you are looking for anonymity, I understand, but if you are looking for security, deep web is the wrong direction.

Thanks for the tip. I was usually interested into anonymity since governments and other third parties could spy on your transactions made with Bitcoin. Of course, I'm not doing anything illegal, but I'm concerned about my privacy as too much surveilance is unconfortable sometimes.

Things aside, I've realized that the deep web is no longer worth it since it is full of scams and many illegal activity. Exchanging your Bitcoins in there will result in total loss of your coins, with the inability to claim your funds back.

Therefore, until today, the most safest way to anonymize your Bitcoin would be via VPN, Tor, and an instant exchange like Shapeshift to trade your BTC to Monero. Perhaps, sometime in the future, we will be able to see greater privacy options within exchanges to avoid being tracked by third parties. ;)

If you are looking for ways to be completely anonymous you are most likely trying to get around laws. This is a very risky move in my opinion.

Yes. I'm aware of that. While I'm not doing anything illegal, I just wanted to make use of an exchange in the deep web to cover my tracks from hackers and other third-parties that would spy on me. By exchanging Bitcoin in an anonymous way, it makes it harder for anyone to know your real BTC balances and be able to track you.

However, I've found out that the deep web is full of scams and most of the exchanges available there take your Bitcoins and run away with them. Therefore, I have chosen to connect via VPN and use Tor Browser, alongside Shapeshift to exchange Bitcoin to Monero and anonymize my coins.

I think that is the safest way to exchange my Bitcoins in a private way, instead of risking myself losing all my hard-earned coins. In case you or anyone else know about alternative ways to anonymize my Bitcoin, please let me know. :)

trading on the deep web is very risky, lots of traps there, especially with minimal knowledge and experience will be very risky
the safest thing in my opinion is that F2F you can trade anonymously. You can rent escrow to be safer. If you want it fast, maybe you can put a price lower than the price in the market, it will make your coins sell faster.

I advise you please do not trust deep websites, it is never safe and risky with your wallet and account. Why do not you use trusted sites to trade, do not worry about high fees. Currently there are many sites dropping a lot of fees.

Thanks for the tip. I realized this when testing websites in the deep web which claimed to anonymize my Bitcoin. However, right after I made a deposit with them, I've never received my anonymized coins which meant that they were indeed a scam. Since there are no serious sites (that I'm aware of) which live on the deep web, I guess that the only way to exchange Bitcoin anonymously would be using the clearnet via VPN.

Still, I believe that there's a huge potential of serious sites being launched on the deep web, which help users protect their privacy by anonymizing their coins via Tor. A decentralized exchange operating there would be nice to see, however it could cause a surge of illegal activity. In the moment, there's a huge risk involved dealing with mixers or exchanges living on the deep web, unfortunately. :(

Actualy theres so many exchanges thats we  can introduce ,but in the means of low processing fee or who operating in the deep wave situation,i suggest the yobit exchanges and bittrex, because based on my experience in trading they have a low processing fee,and very accomodate exchange thats can be used easily and friendly to the newbie of the first time who want to learn themself on how to trade, and theres a manual on you tube in how to know to trade as a beginner in trading crypto.

Maybe you can try this method to convert your bitcoins into reputed altcoins,in LBC there are some traders offering altcoins also for our bitcoin but it is only very limited coins available ther, where we don't have any traces of our coins because it is all happening from person to person, but it is highly risky though.

There is no illegal exchangers today and most of them are legalized, deep web is only for hidden transactions such as drug laundering, just use kucoin or hitbtc so you can safely invest or sell your coins.

Well its more secured since it is TOR integrated but still I am in doubt about as long as it is in deep web.Though the main issue here is privacy but still Its very risky in my opinion  and its better to transact on legit  exchanges.

I think every exchange will definitely leave a trace in the wallet, and I think the exchange of bittrex and binance is a good exchange.

That's what I've thought at the first place, since many exchanges nowadays comply with KYC/AML regulations. However, I believe that this is bound to change soon, as Atomic Swaps are implemented with the inception of the Lightning Network. Once it becomes ready, then it'll become much easier and private to exchange Bitcoin to any other cryptocurrency. Until this happens, then I'm afraid that the only vital option would be to use an instant exchange like ShapeShift or Changelly over Tor.

I agree with you that Bittrex and Binance are good exchanges, but they still suffer from centralization risks. Eventually, people would migrate to decentralized alternatives to gain better protection of their cryptocurrency funds and remain as private and anonymous as possible. However, it will all depend if they would adopt them over centralized exchanges in the future or not.

Nevertheless, perhaps someday we will get to see a serious exchange running within the deep web. ::)

I just want to be able to exchange an altcoin into BTC in an anonymous and secure way, without leaving trace of the amount of coins exchanged, etc.

There are some site in deep web for bitcoin exchange. Where exchange very risk for everyone, because many site are scam in deep web bitcoin exchange. In my opinion it is not better to exchange in deep web, where you may lost your assets. So you should be join in trusty bitcoin exchange site.

If anyone's paranoid, let alone dim, enough to use a dark web Bitcoin exchange then they shouldn't really be using Bitcoin at all. There are more convenient methods of allowing someone to steal your money. Just hand your cash to a random outside your house. Or you can go full anon and throw it out of someone else's window.

Honestly, I believe that's the only way to buy/sell Bitcoin anonymously without getting scammed. Doing everything in a peer-to-peer fashion by exchanging hard cash to Bitcoin is ideal if we are paranoid about our privacy. The deep web is extremely risky nowadays since it's been the heart of scams, and theft for quite some time. Only a few legitimate services exist there, but they're very scarce as most services offered are complete scams.

I'd be surprised to see a legitimate instant exchange which would allow you to trade Bitcoin to Monero (or viceversa) anonymously within the deep web. It'll allow you to buy/sell Bitcoin for Monero without the fear of a third party watching every transaction you've made so far. For complete anonymity, it's best to use VPN alongside Tor, to exchange Bitcoin to Monero and avoid getting caught by prying eyes.

Nevertheless, the only viable methods would be exchanging fiat to Bitcoin in a P2P fashion or exchanging Bitcoin to Monero within Shapeshift or Changelly behind a VPN. :)

Well, I’ve heard about several deep web exchanges, but I wouldn’t recommend any of them. Is it really necessary for you to trade anonymously? Sure thing, it’s your business, but maybe you should consider something more secure? I’ll give you an example of my experience. I’m dealing with cex and provided them with some info about myself in order to verify account. In exchange I’ve got of safety measures like 2FA, encrypted data, cold storage etc. When you’re dealing with deep web exchanges your identity remains totally unknown, but at the same time you’re risking to lose your money. So, maybe you should consider using well-known exchanges?  If not, well, I tried to help😅

Try to keep away from the deep web exchanges, they are mostly scams.

There are a lot of open anonymous exchanges you can use like Changelly, Changer to trade. My personal favorite is CoinSwitch (https://coinswitch.co) which aggregates all major exchange and provide anonymous trading.

Maybe OP want to try something different  ;D. Well, if me i wouldn't take any risk to do activity in that site. There is a lot of exchanges nowadays and we can pick which is fit and we think it is good.

Thanks. That's true, but I prefer an exchange on the deep web (or something similar) that would allow me to trade my Bitcoins anonymously without trace. Since most exchanges on the deep web are scams, there's nothing left to do but simply trade Bitcoin in a P2P fashion (with fiat). Last time I've checked, Shapeshift exchange now requires KYC which is quite troublesome after being an exchange which didn't require ID verification or creation of accounts for quite some time. This now leaves me with lesser options to choose from, as more exchanges are complying with KYC/AML laws which threatens anonymity.

Still though, I use well-known exchanges for regular trades, but for certain transactions, I prefer full anonymity. That's why decentralized exchanges and P2P exchanges may be the best bet towards achieving anonymity without ever giving your ID to any third party. Nonetheless, I wish that there would be a better alternative to Shapeshift where everything is done instantly without requiring ID verification at all. :)

Yes. I've found about that the hard way, unfortunately. Now, I'm using exchanges within the clearnet, but sometimes they're not enough towards achieving full anonymity. Using Tor + VPN helps in most cases, but exchanges which ask details about your email to create an account, are not fully private, IMO. Just checked on CoinSwitch and seems like its nice alternative, although not all trading pairs are listed there. I'd be surprised to see an instant exchange in the future that would make use of Zero-Knowledge Proofs and smart contract technology, to trade from one cryptocurrency to another without ever requiring ID verification.

Of course, I may be dreaming but if people see that their privacy is being threatened by the government, then a fully private solution may be devised in the future. Whenever it'll be on the deep web, or simply on the clearnet (normal internet), if it doesn’t track you or require ID verification, it'll be all you'll ever need to exchange crypto without middleman. After all, that's been Bitcoin's purpose since day one, but centralized exchanges have dominated the space unfortunately, which brings back the middleman. :(

post-shapeshift, it seems like the options have dwindled to changelly behind VPN. or binance.

do we have any other options? btc-e's descendent, wex was an option for a while, but they shut down withdrawals for everything but XMR and USDT. not sure if they were hacked or what, but they've been silent about the whole thing. there's bisq, which i like, but there's not many people using it.

i'm certainly looking forward to the day when a DEX can replace these things, but it seems like we're still years away. :-\

As you know deep web is dangerous lot of illegal website because it contains illegal trade and scams sites and all of the users of are anonymous. If you're going to find an exchange market there well you are risking your money plus your life to the FBI because if you're related to any transactions there then you are being part of them. You can find market place but not for crypto, you can use crypto there to buy something.

Select those exchanges which are highly rates so that you may not need to go for other sites which may trap you as you need to stay safe in every single step here in the crypto world. If you are on the right path then do not think of any hacking or scam issues but safely continue your trading. If you have precious coin like Bitcoin then go for Binance and Coinbase etc which are highly rated and you will have no doubt about anything happens.

Yes. Unfortunately, centralized exchanges continue to dominate the cryptocurrency ecosystem, despite that crypto was created to eliminate the middleman after all. Day by day, centralized exchanges are becoming worst as they require KYC to do nearly anything on them. As for Shapeshift, it was a good exchange for quickly trading a cryptocurrency to another without the need to create an account, making it completely anonymous. However, once they've implemented KYC, they've turned out to become like any other centralized exchange, IMO.

Nevertheless, the only options right now are decentralized exchanges like Bitshares, CryptoBridge, Bisq, and Waves DEX. They may not have the same amount of liquidity as centralized exchanges, but they're still the best bet when it comes to anonymity and privacy. Hopefully, they could continue to advance in terms of development and mainstream adoption, as people become interested in privacy and security.

As for me, I'll just use VPN + Tor to access the Bisq decentralized exchange for some of my crypto trades. Exchanging Bitcoin to Monero would be the most ideal option right now, especially since Bitcoin lacks privacy. :)
