Title: [2017-01-08]Bitcoin rate has fallen below $ 900
Post by: Alex077 on January 08, 2017, 10:48:21 AM
After several weeks of rapid growth, suddenly the Bitcoin course on Thursday, 5 January, went down. Within a few minutes, the cost of the coin on global exchanges fell by more than $ 200, dropping below $ 900.
On January 1, Bitcoin crossed the $ 1000 mark and set there in next days. In the last 24 hours its cost has been going up to $ 1140 in Europe and America, exceeded $ 1,200 in Asia...https://bit.news/eng/bitcoin-rate-fallen-900-updated/

It's called a healthy correction. What keeps surprising me is that when the price moves up, people seem to take it like it's a normal thing. But when the price drops, they directly start getting worried and create threads in their panic state of mind where they ask what the reason is for the drop. All that while the price is still much higher than where it started from....

It is way higher. A 50% gain in a month in any other asset class would have been considered a moon-shot.
And here people are worried that it has crashed.  ;D

Yes. I remember years ago (before Bitcoin) that I was very happy with the 3% annual interest rate over my savings. Also have I done some level of stock trading where in a good year I managed to get like 10% in profits. All that combined was like a fantastic return. Imagine how people look back at this "tiny" 13% where right now people don't even get excited by 50% anymore. :D

Yes, I agree that it's not the end of the world. We don't need another $1,300 and then falling down to $200 again. I think $900 - $1,000 is a healthy range for Bitcoin right now and I think it will stay in this range for a while.

If you have been in the Bitcoin scene long enough, Bitcoin volatility do not scare you anymore. You know at some stage it will correct it self.

We are still $100 above the $800 average we have had over the last couple of months, so why are you all complaining? If you bought more

than a year ago, you would have paid $400 to $500 per bitcoin. We know how to ride this Bitcoin rollercoaster...  ;D

This news really suck. But what can we do? At the price of $1,100 it is just a bubble that is waiting to be popped. And indeed it was popped a few days ago. Now we are all scouring around and thinking what will happen next. It's stabling at the rate of $850-$950 and seems like this is the true level we are supposed to be.
