Every religion exists to extort from the people deceived by religious dogma money. In this they are United with the state. Only the state has no interest in using bitcoin then the Church is still taking the money.

Do you want to start a " war " in this section? When the subject has to do with religion this section becomes a real battlefield

- The Church of St. John the Evangelist in Goshen, New York

- St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Ashgrove

Well if bitcoin becomes more mainstream in the future, i'm sure most religion would accept it no questions asked. Right now, i don't think bitcoin is generating enough attention to make any religion notice but it's certain that they will accept bitcoin as well if it's opened up to most of them.

The bitcoin few people are interested. But using bitcoin is still possible to get the dollars. Therefore, any person, and the Church will take bitcoin. But to keep your savings in bitcoin will not. I'm sure of it. Moreover, with the weakening of China bitcoin will fall.

Well what I really got from the question is more like. The church would actually specify to receive donations in form of a BTC only.

As far as my knowledge is concerned, there are no churches accepting bitcoin as donation. There are pastors who does bitcoin but they are accepting bitcoin as donations but I am not sure if it is for their church since he is the only one who knows about bitcoin. Well probably in the future it will be possible since even schools are already accepting bitcoins.

The question I would ask is do you want to make one? If you are really keen in doing that, why not just convert to Fiat and make the necessary donations.

In the real sense, religious institutions of the world exist within the purview of the laws of the state as the state is so powerful that it can close down any institution going contrary to the laws of the land. So, I dont expect any religious institution to accept bitcoin as a form of donation if it has not be allowed by government as a legal tender.

Various Churches and religious are noticed the potential of Bitcoin already, their main goal is to rise money so it would be foolish not to embrace BTC.

1. Donate Bitcoin to MESSENGER CHURCH OF GOD here: https://bitpay.com/955796/donate (https://bitpay.com/955796/donate)
2. Donate bitcoin to Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church https://bitpay.com/103238/donate (https://bitpay.com/103238/donate)

If you want to donate to specific Church or community in your vicinity, just ask them, if they have no idea about Bitcoin they will most likely start using it.

of course they'd start using btc, who wouldn't want money. god is so powerful and needs lots and lots of money!  each one must give as he decides in his heart not reluctantly or under compulsion...
but your donations must not be less than 0.05 btc.  ;)  its the value of each priest meal. let's give food to the hungry people.

I view bitcoin as a religion in itself LOL.  :P

Too bad the High Sparrow wasn't as lucky. He could be sitting on a throne too. :D

Back on topic, I know no church or religious organization accepting bitcoins. I might seem biased but I don't think they'd be rushing to embrace bitcoin sooner than the general population. Religious groups in general tend to be very conservative in a lot of things. Heck, took the Church a long time to dump the geocentric worldview!  ;D

I don't really understand why people donate money to the religious organizations. 90% of that money go towards building expensive churches and luxurious resorts for the Bishops and deacons. That money would be better spent on charity.

I don't know a specific religion that accepts btc, but hey, donations are donations and i don't think any religion who gets donations from their members would decline one in btc. There's already a wide use for bitcoin nowadays and it can also be converted to any local currency so the answer would certainly be yes, btc will br accepted as donation
