Title: GOX: Withdrawing funds
Post by: V4Vendettas on April 12, 2013, 09:11:38 AM
Has anyone actually been able to withdraw funds (not bitcoin) within the last 3 days via bank transfers?

So far I seem to be stuck on validation of my bank account was just wondering how long this normally took for others.

Also yay bitcoin I love you even if I did get buned a few times you still made my life much much better.

I could withdraw bitcoins yesterday. I withdrew bitcoins this morning around 08:00 GMT+1 and still they have not showed up in the blockchain though I got an email from Gox waying the withdrawal went through. Should I be worried?

It's like the frightend passenger poking the guy next to him on the shoulder in aisle 13 looking out the window asking why He's not worried and the calm passenger answers: "It's not my plane that has a burning engine."!

This is out of your control, no need to worry!

Withdrew to OKPay without any problem, though delays possible (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=117652.msg1808860#msg1808860)

Welcome to bitcoin- Gox isn't the fastest company in the world when it comes to these things. Give it till the end of next week.

Same here. Used to be the BTC transactions showed up in my wallet instantly. Now it's been 20+ minutes. Tried sending one with the fee and one without, neither arrived yet.

Took ~1h to transfer $xk to Dwolla (~12h to verify Dwolla, yesterday). Bank verification is generally 1-5 days wherever you are. I think Gox does (or did) the same as Dwolla; deposits a few cents in your account within a few days, then requires you to relay the exact amounts to them.

I wouldn't think wires require the same kind of verification, but unsure... new AML regulations each week.

I am waiting for a SEPA payout to Germany since last friday. Nothing arrived yet but I fear it is no use to open a ticket right now. Money will be here, before they even get to read my ticket...

I guess there is so much fiat in Gox's order book ATM because of the difficulty of withdrawing big quantities of FIAT from MtGox.

Everybody is speaking about the newborn BTC millionaires - well, I wonder how many of our fellow forum members have tried to withdraw something like $1M from MtGox, I can bet it is a pain in the ass

I wouldn't try to sell that amount on an exchange even if I could.

I'm waiting now since 4 days too. It's the same account where I sent my fiat a long time from. And of course on the same name. Also the fees for international payouts are quiet high especially if you can't withdrawn more than 1000$.
