Title: bitcoin core fails to establish connection with network Post by: microsanches on January 10, 2017, 10:59:39 AM Hi, fellows
Could someone share some instruction to overcome "no block source availible" error? Bitcoin Client Software and Version Number: Bitcoin Core 0.13.2 Operating System: Windows System Hardware Specs: Description of Problem: Bitcoin Core does not establish any In/Out connections and stuck on "no block source availible 12 hours behind" status Any Related Addresses: None Any Related Transaction IDs: None Screenshot of the problem: Log Files from the Bitcoin Client: http://pastebin.com/9Cgjrdzc Title: Re: bitcoin core fails to establish connection with network Post by: ranochigo on January 10, 2017, 12:55:58 PM Looks like your client didn't find any peers to connect to.
In your client, can you go to Help>Debug Window>Console and type Code: addnode 188.68.53.44 add *The node is Shorena's, not mine. I'll make one myself in the very near future :). Title: Re: bitcoin core fails to establish connection with network Post by: onnz423 on January 10, 2017, 01:40:01 PM What Operating systems you have?
If you have windows, press WINDOWS (should be a windows flag on keyboard) + R, and then write in %APPDATA%\Bitcoin and press enter. Remove everything else except wallet.dat, then make a new file called bitcoin.conf and add this to it (or you can pick your own nodes from here: http://blockchain.info/connected-nodes) : addnode=142.162.23.214 addnode=199.168.99.42 addnode=83.143.130.19 then save the file and try opening bitcoin core again, if it still does not connect let me know and i will write you some things to help with exporting private keys onto different wallet. I've done everything as u told. May be it did not work cuz the app is installed on USB-drive Title: Re: bitcoin core fails to establish connection with network Post by: onnz423 on January 10, 2017, 01:50:35 PM still doesn't I've done everything as u told. Then you would not need to have the whole chain (or are you running a node?). Title: Re: bitcoin core fails to establish connection with network Post by: ranochigo on January 10, 2017, 01:51:48 PM still doesn't How much space does your USB drive have? If I am not wrong, your data directory is stored on your USB drive.I've done everything as u told. May be it did not work cuz the app is installed on USB-drive Make a backup of your wallet.dat and navigate to D:\bit, delete everything other than wallet.dat and try running Bitcoin Core again. My suspicion is that either you didn't shutdown Bitcoin Core correctly, by pulling out the drive before the client exited safely or your USB ran out of space. If you trust blockchain.info, you could just use this tool: https://blockchain.info/wallet/import-wallet If not, you would probably have to export private keys that have balance one by one into a text file or something similar. Here is guide: 1.Visit https://blockchain.info/wallet/import-wallet. Drag the Bitcoin-Qt wallet.dat file into the dotted area. Follow the instructions. 2.Login to the new wallet. Under the Backup heading click download. 3.Open multibit choose Tools -> Import Private Keys. Now import the wallet.aes.json file just downloaded. 4.Delete the keys from the blockchain.info wallet. You could do it via that way, and send the coins to the wallet you want easily. Let me know what you think about this :) there is also this tool but it is way harder to use: https://github.com/jackjack-jj/pywallet Title: Re: bitcoin core fails to establish connection with network Post by: ranochigo on January 10, 2017, 02:34:36 PM Blockchain.info no longer works.
To export your addresses, you need to go to Help>Debug Window>Console. Key in the following. Ignore the first if you didn't put any password on your wallet. walletpassphrase Password 1000 dumpprivkey 1address Replacing password and 1address accordingly. You should have a string of alphanumerical letters. Do this for all the keys you have exported. Next, go to https://electrum.org/#download and download the portable version if you're using it on your USB drive. Open it and you would be greeted with a screen. #1 Select Standard Wallet and select import Use Public or Private key. Key in all the keys and click next and you're done. Please save the keys that you have exported. #2 If you do not need to export them because you don't need the address or you don't have any balance, simply click standard wallet and select create a seed. I recommend transferring all your Bitcoins to a seed wallet since it is far better that way. If you want to do this, do #2 and go to Wallet>Private Keys and sweep. You can key in all your private keys in the big dialog and select an address. Just exporting every private key can be really frustrating but at the end you will manage to export all the keys. And yes HD wallets are way more convienent, especially if you back up the seed as PGP signed message then it will be really nice to just decrypt the seed and import to needed wallet. Make sure that you do not have anything blocking incoming and outgoing connections on port 8333. This includes any firewalls on your router, your computer, and your ISP (some ISPs may block certain traffic).

Please check in your computer if there is a quarantine items in the antivirus security that you are having, it maybe the support program linked to network threats thats why it is being block to intrude your system. And if firewall is turned on its very strict security most of the time and maybe in bitcoin core there's conflict through network firewall. |
