Here you go:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=24268.msg304195#msg304195

There are exactly 2^160 possible addresses as long as we keep using RIPE-MD160.

2^160 is 1,461,501,637,330,902,918,203,684,832,716,283,019,655,932,542,976.

You won't be able to generate all those addresses, even if you had the largest botnet on earth and you generated addresses nonstop for dozens of years (did not do the actual calculations tough).

That's not going to happen.

Number of bitcoin address is 1,461,501,637,330,902,918,203,684,832,716,283,019,655,932,542,976.
Number of people on earth is 6,987,000,000. And not even 10% of those knows about bitcoins.

Even if each person generates 1,000,000,000 addresses everyday (this is very very very exaggerated), only 126,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 addresses will be created in 50 years.

Even if sometime in the future there are 10,000,000,000 bitcoin users and each person creates 1,000,000,000,000 addresses everyday for 100 years, only 360,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 addresses will be created.

I'm curious also about this topic, but as people those who really knows about the technology of bitcoin explains like as what longbob72 mentioned, it will gives you hints, and so the link given by mocacinno. So it will never happen.

Maybe? You could calculate how many addresses are there and compare them to estimates on diffirent factors.
By my knowledge, its impossible in 50 years and even if, we could easily change couple variables in bitcoin source code to multiply current possible addresses by 10x or 100x easily :) so worry not.

What wallet is producing unlimited address? I think theres none. Im using xapo wallet but everytime i receive funds. The address is just recycling its address generated. I think theres atleast 3-4 addresses generated by my wallet. Its also impossible that bitcoin address will run out of bitcoin address because theres atleast 32 characters to create address. Thats too many.  Besides, bitcoin address is consisting of numbers and letters. Its a really rare that wallet could generate address that is the same as other wallet. If thats happens. It will be a disaster.

After you have read this, you would see how impossible this would be : https://www.weusecoins.com/amazing-math-bitcoin-private-keys/

If I can quote something, it would be this : " Bitcoin’s private keys are made of numbers (called quindecillions) that are so large, they literally choke the best computers."

See the picture at the top, about the sand. ^smile^ It is basically impossible, if you comprehend that.

I'm locking this thread because posts were made that contain misinformation or were off-topic. I removed at least five because of obvious reason (or because you happened to quoted them). Also locking it because good answers have already been provided. I would like to make clear that if you don't know anything about a subject, don't post.

OP, I'm sorry that I had to lock your thread, if you still aren't sure about this subject, let me know and I'll gladly re-open your thread.
