Post by: robert746 on January 11, 2017, 05:49:36 PM
Coin Properties

Algorithm SHA256
Type PoW
Coin name LightCoin
Coin abbreviation LIGHT
Address letter L
RPC port 10110
P2P port 10109
Block reward 50 coins
Total coin supply 21000000 coins

I am still working on the coin but i posted the specs for now.

Linux Wallet:wget http://dl.walletbuilders.com/wallets/db276eb130cceee0729e876cfbd919d12f3f5095ea0e643444/lightcoin-daemon-linux.tar.gz (http://wget http://dl.walletbuilders.com/wallets/db276eb130cceee0729e876cfbd919d12f3f5095ea0e643444/lightcoin-daemon-linux.tar.gz)

Windows Wallet : https://www.walletbuilders.com/mycoin?coin=db276eb130cceee0729e876cfbd919d12f3f5095ea0e643444

YES it is a walletbuilders coin but please dont make bad comments.everybody had to start somewhere to get where they are now.

i am experimenting with the coin but if you would like to mine it here is the pool:

hashpool.co.za (http://hashpool.co.za)

There is only 2300 coins premined.

I listed the coin on tradesatoshi for voting. Please support me and vote for the coin.

I am currently busy with the block explorer and it should be up within a few days.

I have never done this before so the announcement will not be one of the best but i believe the info i posted was sufficient.

There is no specific purpose of this coin so you can do with it whatever you want and you might even make a few bucks when it hits exchanges. The mining difficulty is still low so you can mine fast.

They got no time for that man. It's not as important as at least give one node ...

I'm not going to review this coin ann as the dev is just experimenting and learning. At least there is some honesty about this.

We all have to start somewhere - good luck with your experiment.

I didnt notice the other lightcoin, but theirs is x11 and mine is sha 256.
So far the coin has one node only and that is the pool listed above.

is there a difference between the linux wallet and the source code? if there is then ive learnt something new today

I made this coin to actually learn more.i want to get a decent coin in the near future but i want to make sure i do it properly and with better knowledge.
i dont want to pay alot of money to create a coin if im still clueless as to how it all works

YES!
Linux wallet is useless if already compiled. Need source code to compile for every different machine/system ^^
I need Source to make a pool for example.

As long as the Coin does not run properly, it does not need any exchange.  ;)
