I wanna know if Bitcoin is the best, the most secure, the speediest and the most precious currency right now, because there are many many currencies available and each offer some promises.

Is it logical to work with one or is it safe to somehow use several? Can anyone help me out?

Yes, bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency, but in the most secure and fastest thing, I can't directly answer to that but most probably yes.
I don't think if bitcoin is the most precious currency as I don't care those others but regarding to digital cryptocurrencies, definitely yes.
Yes, using several cryptocurrencies will help, and that's what trading works.

Yes it is the best, maybe not the fastest. Faster is not necessarily better or more secure.

It is a good idea to hedge 5-10% of your Crypto holdings in promising Alt Coins for multiple reasons. One, you can still make huge returns getting in early in innovative alt-coins, and Two just in case Bitcoin is replaced by something else (I doubt it ever will).

I think that its indeed the best and that it only needs to be more secure and more anonymously that would be awesome and slightly better.

I like Litecoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Monero, Zcash, Dash at the moment. I'm sure there are other good ones.

every cryptocurrency has its own good side and weak side. so bitcoin does. but I think bitcoin is better than another because it is secure, many prople use it, and the price is high enogh.

Bitcoin is definitely the cryptocurrency that is worth the most. It's also been around for the longest and is the most widely accepted. You can buy a whole ton of things with bitcoin; you can't do this with other cryptocurrencies.

I'd stick to using just bitcoin, unless you are interested in altcoin trading. However, I wouldn't recommend altcoin trading to people who've just started, so perhaps if you do decide to trade, do a bit of research first.

In present crypto industry yes bitcoin is the best coin when compared to other crypto's, it is the first currency where as the value will be decided in the form of trading sector and more over it is not permitted to single country like USD,EUR, INR, etc. When compared to other currencies promises are not making enough potential with them ultimately pumps and dumps.

Bitcoin is the best of all cryptocurrency, because no other digital currencies were found to be potential as well no other digital currency has survived long which were started based upon same technology. One thing that can be considered is using of other cryptocurrencies that gets developed often is better for trading purpose. No other specific profiting other through trading is possible.

bitcoin is not perfect as nothing else in the world is, but among all other crytpcurrencies that have been introduced to us until now bitcoin has been the most successful in many aspects. and it is not just about security although that is the first criteria.

I still like bitcoin and I consider bitcoin as digital currency and fiat. I use bitcoin for almost my actions in trading , investing and payment online and I feel great when I have owned it. You can make a deposit or withdawal at anytime you want. it's very easy and fast for my all purposes .

Absolutely it is the best crypto currency. If you didn't know where did all the alt coins idea came from, it all did came from the original idea of bitcoin. And most of those alt coins did copied everything from bitcoin. So don't doubt that bitcoin will always be the best crypto currency because most of us are wanting to have a lot of it.

I mean bitcoin is conservative, cautious with changes and thats good, because project with that much money can't make rush decisions, it would be disaster like ethereum experiencing all the time.

If you are here for a long time now then obviously you know the answer, if not then better check it for yourself to verfiy if majority of replies here is true and at least they are facts.

If bitcoin will compared to fiat currencies then it's out of the line since they have different system and usages. Fiat and bitcoin are having different features which people can take advantage.

LTC or Doge are faster & cheaper PoW coins and also supported by the Chinese.

You have to go into a Proof of stake coin to find an Alt the Chinese don't control.

You know what makes Bitcoin the best? The Network of people using it and accepting it as a payment option. How many merchants do you know of that accepts CookieCoin or TrumpCoin or one of these obscure Pump n Dump coins? The network effect takes years to build, and Bitcoin has done that leg work.

Yes without any doubts its the best cryptocurrency there is right now and I also think that it will stay the best over the years.

So it is some how a separate quantity from all other currencies.

Every day we can see more alt coins are getting created by the IT engineers. But still none of the the coin replace the bitcoin's potential and its price value. I do not think also some crypto coin will come replace the bitcoin's place.

If in my mind, bitcoin is just one way to do some transaction with online basic. So, for secure it's ferry safe. But for daily activity it's not recommendation i think.


Fiat currency is a best think for now because if you want to transaction in every were, you not always need online to do it.

For me bitcoin is the best, it is the most used crypto currency compare to other alt coin, the price is great and the future is great, but for me it is important to have a backup plan, crypto currencies not only about bitcoin but all the digital coin that being created, I planned to invest in some alt coin, but for now I haven't found the suitable coin for me, so i still stick with bitcoin

But in my definitions, the best thing does not need to support our daily needs. I value gold the most still I'm not using gold for my daily needs or for worship or anything similar to that. Similarly the best a crypto currency having all the features as per my expectation still using it is limited due to lack of adoption.

Not the best if you ask me, most widely used and accepted yes. Bitcoin is pretty outdated compared to most of the cryptocurrencies that have appeared after it. But "best" is about personal preference, so i think better question would be that "is bitcoin most developed cryptocurrency" and answer to that would be simply no. I believe that bitcoin will be in the shadows after mainstream will start using cryptos overall, it will be the gold of cryptocurrencies forever. That is my opinion.

We can see it as the best cryptocurrency and I even think that it can  be the future of all currency's in the far future with some luck.

I agree with those people who are saying that bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency, We don't need to prove that because you can easily see the result of Bitcoin from the beginning until now. It does progress unlike some coins that are only have progress during the ico but after the ico some coins are slowly dropping and in the end it will just become worthless.

At the moment it is the best and probably will stay for a while in the future, no competition at the moment. It's the most adopted and accepted in real life situations. The one thing I could say it's not so good anymore and that is anonimity. Bitcoin has lost great deal of anonimity and I regret that.

I think it doesn't same with gold, because gold can't to make transaction just for invest and for ornament. Bitcoin is one way to make some transaction easy with little fee to cross over the world. And we know if bitcoin just alternate currency, so it's impossible to change fiat currency.

Let us define first what do you mean by the best cryptocurrency.  Here is my opinion:

1. MOst used
- Bitcoin is widely used coin and it has the biggest number of users worldwide

2. Price
-Bitcoins price has the best price compared to other coins

3. inflation
-Bitcoin has the best price inflation in history and the most natural

4. Speed
-Bitcoin is not really the best in this field

So after thinking of the factors I mentioned, bitcoin is the best.

so with your assessment its three out of four and that's right its only the speed matters since most of new crypto alts are improving this field and offer more quicker transaction but for me bitcoin still the best in all cryptocurrecy, its favored people who knows how to play and use it the way it should be.

you can not compare bitcoin, a cryptocurrency, with fiat the regular currency that everybody knows. in that comparison you will have a hard time.

but bitcoin is safe, good, fast, cheap and precious.

if you want to compare it with its counterparts also known as altcoins then bitcoin is the best. although you may find other coins that are faster or have other features but nothing comes without its downside. for example faster transactions means faster block generation and faster blockchain size growth and a ridiculous number of orphaned blocks.

i am agree bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency because bitcoin give a dream for all people to make better life, bitcoin have a good future from time to time and bitcoin can be another way to make investment. but in the number 1, i think bitcoin is not yet to be the biggest number of users worldwide because if we compare with other payment gateway, bitcoin is still new and young age and its need a time before the most of people used bitcoin. for all numbers, i am really agree with Xester said.

Obviously. Yes. It is the most demanded cryptocurrency in the world. Infact, this is highest in terms of users. Its the most valuable crypto and highest market cap. No other cryptocurrency are close enough to compete with bitcoin. Bitcoin has no competion at all. Look at the price and compare it to other altcoins. Its way too far.

Bitcoin is on the first place among other cryptocurrencies. That was the first cryptocurrency in the history and maybe that is the main moment of bitcoin's success, cause of there is no difference between bitcoin and others crypto in general, all them there created on the base of bitcoin.

I heard that before bitcoin is just an experiment until it gets benefited and running successful from 2009 until 2013
it is the first crypto i just heard bitcoin 2011 but i just ignore it because i do not have knowledge for bitcoins before i was came back for bitcoin and it is really trending in our forum i think 2015 i started earnings bitcoins in many faucet that honestly small amount or penny but its really help you to start and learn how bitcoin works..

Actually in most cases and given the laws of physics, the faster something is the less secure it's going to be at least in principle.

In coins this is always the case because we cannot find a way to get the security of bitcoin with the speed of a centralized payment system. It just doesn't exist. And I would rather have a slower solution than a fast but centralized solution because I already got paypal for that.

Bitcoin is the best because it has most of the support and interest groups stand behind it. Otherwise technologically there are altcoins with much better features, but because bitcoin is the first, it has most support and will always be the number 1 in this space.

It depends for what purpose you want to use bitcoin, if you want to use a crypto currency for store of value, then I think bitcoin is the best, for speedy transactions I don't know I have heard good things about LTC, if you want anonymity then monero is the best.

I agree with this statement, however there are other crypto currencies which have one sole purpose in my opinion.  The altcoins are more of something made to make people feel more secure in my opinion.  I personally like Bitcoin the best because there are more people using it and there is less of a chance my coins will go away.

It's not fully secure, speediest(you can see the blocksize debate), although the bitcoin has the higher value. Because there is the other alt was offering more than bitcoin. I just know if the bitcoin is general crypto.

I think bitcoin digital currency is best at this time. bitcoin has had enormous support in world financial markets.
even today bitcoin will continue to grow until won the trust of the government of a country.

I think you right, bitcoin is growing up until now. but I think very difficult goverment will accepting bitcoin because bitcoin most using in illegal activities. many article said bitcoin is used in illegal activities so I will difficult. in other I think bitcoin can be used to good activities in daily life.

There are some which I think are good and have a good potential, some of them are the most traded coins in poloniex which are ETH, ETC, XMR and I would like to add here that also ICONOMI (ICN) has a good potential and it is an interesting project which I "discovered" recently.

I agree that bitcoin is on top of the best cryptocurrencies and its growth is unstoppable and fast, but I don't think it has enormous support in the financial world. Because if it really were highly promoted and widely used in the economic world, the governments would have accepted it and let their people use it instead of banning it like in some countries nowaday.

So far so good. I never had a serious problem with btc. It's very easy to use and if you have trezor are very safe as well ;) I recommend for those who haven't used it, to try it, not only btc but trezor too.

I think now bitcoin is the best beyond any doubt. Just check out the number of wallets and the price of btc and you'll understand. Maybe it is not the fastest but it is still the best. Nevertheless, I believe some other currencies will actually become nearly as popular as btc is in a few years. I just think it is impossible for something to be without any strong opponents. Maybe, the famous litecoin will be the one. Maybe, ethereum. But something will anyway.

I don't think there isn't a single coin that has realistic chances of surviving long term compared to bitcoin. Holding bitcoin for long term (5+ years) is already a big risk, now imagine if you do this with an altcoin... at the end of the day, nobody is holding altcoins long term.

Bitcoin is really number one crypto currency now as we can see all over the  net compare to others, and yes most of the business uses this one as the alternative coin to be used as payment  which I thinkgreat for everyone who uses it and benefited.

Bitcoin is the best crypto currency, nothing can beat it, just see the transaction volume that being made everyday and look at the price stability, it is a superb digital currency, i only used other alt coin to do trading but for investment, i only choose bitcoin

I would add that bitcoin is the most known crypto currency among others. There are many crypto currencies on the market now, but bitcoin awakes the most interest and have the most demand today. Other crypto just try to repeat the success of bitcoin.

Good point compared to some banks in my country that offer 1 to 2 percent yearly for maintaining your savings there it makes a lot more sense to keep some savings in bitcoin and receive way bigger returns in months than what you will receive in several years from the banks.

Not all crypto currencies are copies of bitcoin, while they came after bitcoin, some coins offer some really nice features that currently bitcoin does not and that means there is a market for those coins since they are covering a need bitcoin does not.

I agree with you. I'd like to add that Bitcoins are the torch bearer and even though  has its own flaws, it brings in our attention to a currency option that not many would have imagined and turned it into reality. It is hard to disagree with that. BTC will be the hot topic in currencies for another 5-10 years. By then if BTC doesnt improve on its flaws and timings, We will see emergence of a better version of Bitcoin. Its all good as BTC will be in history books. The coin that we all cherish. :)

It is actually depends on your capital and how much risk are you willing to take . For me it is better to divide your capital to 70 to 30 . The 70 will go to the already proven and trusted one which is bitcoin and the rest will go to your chosen altcoin .

It is certainly worth your time to work with other cryptocurrencies, but in my opinion, only for trade. The benefit for using crypto in trade is that they are a lot more volatile. After investing and trading with your cryptocurrencies, I would suggest transferring your earnings back into bitcoin. Bitcoin is the major crypto currency out there, and it is unmatched by any other. And looking at it's recent trends, I only see it progressing.

Anyone who really knows the crytocurrency space will certainly agree that Bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency available on the market, for the reasons you have spoken and also for the fact that all other cryptos competing with Bitcoin do not have the same user base, nor the same level of decentralization.
However, we have to be careful when saying that no other currency could achieve the same level of success, because human knowledge is something that increases at an exponential rate... That's the main reason why Bitcoin needs to have the best developers, If they want the currency to continue to lead the market.

and also there aren't any other crypto currencies that are better than bitcoin technically. you may find some interesting features here and there but they always have multiple flaws.

I will say in bitcoin is the best crypto currency we have around because of its value and the influence its getting which even making other Alt the exposure they are getting as some people dont even know other crypto exist aside bitcoin.

In crypto currencies wise, Bitcoin is really best crypto. In my experience of it, on one can comparative with bitcoin, and as you know bitcoin is the first cryto currencies other than because people have trust on it, and it was first when everyone know about crypto, which give us a new thinking with a new way on internet, before it i didn't see any new technology would be come. Till now whatever I have read and understood this is the best currency in cyptro world. rest of the alt coins are not even near to btc in terms of volume or its valuation. Also widely accepted across globe is bitcoin and not any other coin.

Some online stores and services are already accepting the currency, but the number of options will receive a more significant increase when well-known websites, such as amazon.com, start taking this step.
The internet will be the place where the expansion will occur on a large scale, soon afterwards it will be possible to see a larger number of physical stores offering this payment option.

I don't think amazon is going to accept bitcoins any time soon since they will be worried about possible scams , and since there are no chargeback in bitcoin they will not be able to help their customers besides with services like purse.io that give you a discount in articles purchased through their platform there will not be a lot of incentive to buy directly from amazon.
