Hi,

Im into Bitcoin since 1-1.5 years actively and Im trying to keep myself up to date. So Im reading a bunch of forums and news portals as well as reddit.

So Im curious about the opinion of BitcoinTalk community. The question is:

Which one is your favourite News portal and why?

What do you think which news portal is the nicest and which one is the ugliest and why? Which one is the most trustable and which one is not so trustable and why?

Also what do you think whats the best reddit feeds for cryptolovers besides the famous ones?

I will suggest that adding http://www.coindesk.com is much better, I always used that site regarding in any bitcoin news.

The most annoying from this news sites is, even the site is a ponzi or cloud mining sites they're still promoting those.

And I much prefer to use coindesk as I mentioned and news.bitcoin.com as its always updated in bitcoin related news.

I mostly use Cointelegraph or Coindesk to be honest, I think they are both but mostly just looking at what kind of news there is on the website not really carrying about the website.

In my opinion to keep thyself up to date bitcoin news than news.bitcoin.com will good one.
Using this news portal helps me enrich both of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies reviews and updates also get the latest crypto coin price charts, statistics thats it.

To be frank, most, if not all bitcoin news portals are biased and are driven by their own agenda (hidden or not). There is no definitive and the best bitcoin news site.
The best way to gather bitcoin related info is to read every news and arrange pieces of evidence yourself to see full, unbiased picture.
Don't blindly believe in Coindesk, news.bitcoin.com, Cointelegraph, Cryptocoinsnews or any news site.

I also always use coindesk to find news about bitcoin, its a bit odd because coindesk is not even listed on the poll. My other favorite sites  are cointelegraph and 99bitcoins. There is also bitcoinkan which have an android app so user can find news from android phone.

Rather than look at any news site, subscribe to some subreddits:

Pretty much everything will be covered on those subs, including interesting tweets and blogposts from movers in the bitcoin space.

I am following CryptoCoinsNews often as I have allowed their alerts through Chrome browser. Their alert is more useful to catch some sensational news even I will be too busy with my routine works. Coindesk is another famous bitcoin news services which is being referenced by our community more frequently.

In my opinion, all news bitcoin site are trustworthy.



I do not use it, so I have no opinion.

Coindesk and Cointelegraph are the most well-known news sites, but I also recommend Cryptocoins news and news btc, the last one is my favourite news site, because they post about Bitcoin and Ethereum prices everyday, I like their analyses.

I was also searching coindesk in the list to vote that as I am using that place more for getting updated about the news of bitcoins but I did not find coindesk which make me feel that I am using something of less important. By the way coindesk is better imo.

Agree, the official news sites all seem to love the pump and dump too much.  When the markets going down fast you cant find anything positive on those sites.  The forums at least are more honest in that you know its just 1 users take on things if they post some news.

Other than coindesk i love to read on cointelegraph, and the way cointelegraph use animated images on each article is pretty attractive but i hate when these media outlets promotes known scam sites like cloud mining for few bitcoin.

I will be voting for the Merkle especially about his review and totally that were very helping for everyone. I hate the bitcoin news site was providing a scam promotion.  ::) >:(

I like https://www.crypto-news.net/.  I usually do my catching up there, next is Reddit,
and sometimes(very rarely) I check out Coindesk when I got some links.

I got so disgusted with all the bias I read in other news sites before, so much that I stopped reading altogether.

It's only recently that started reading up on news again. They got great, comprehensive articles and none of that trace of bias/agenda/color often seen elsewhere.
 

I was visiting when I was still new here with themerkle with the news about bitcoin because of their signature campaign.

But Just like what others are suggesting, I would suggest crypto-news.net because most of the time I am checking updates with them and I think it is more better.

And also news.bitcoin.com is quite good, I like the whole concept of the site.

So you are not bothered by fact that when you read some news on Coindesk there might little disclaimer below the article where you can read that Coindesk owns shares of a company mentioned in the news?
I think it might be a reason the news is written is overly positive manner.

Prime example: Coindesk overhyped news about Zcash, they didn't mention many things there, mainly fact that there is founder tax/fee which is part of the protocol and gives you 20% of all mined coins in the first 4 years.

And surprise, surprise there is a disclosure I mentioned earlier:  "CoinDesk is a subsidiary of Digital Currency Group, which has an ownership stake in Zcash."

its good if you read many article in coinbase. actually i don't have favourite news portals because i don't think the news its giving true condition maybe its their opinion about the crypto currency and only make panic for the people but its good for us to know the latest news from the crypto currency sites. but i will follow with coinbase, cointelegraph as i am trading altcoins-bitcoin. i think we need to thinking about if we are trading bitcoin-fiat, then we should read news about bitcoin and fiat too, and so on.

I don't know why you not listed coindesk.com in your poll, it's one of the main crypto news site. I read news news on coindesk often, but now my most prefered bitcoin news site is news.bitcoin.com, it's very professional site with good articles.
Offcourse, sometimes i'm visiting rest of these site, it's also not bad. Only thing I don't like that some sites write positive news about suspicious projects.

Thanks man, since yesterday that I followed those links in gathering my fundamental analytical fact or information I was well informed. All this while, I do get information and news about bitcoin and other crypto currencies from coindesk.com, but since yesterday I find out that a lot of information and news are not published by them and I was very happy reading this treat.

Offcourse most sites are commercial but compared to newsbtc i find coindesk far more reliable then any other news outlet.
So i use them and reddit to get my bitcoin news.

Mostly i often use coindesk, cointelegraph, bitcoinist and news.bitcoin. Those list site have unique features.
Coindesk, is the favorite one because mostly they are forefront in presenting news, but not all news.
Cointelegraph, i like they illustration, it's makes the headline perfect to illustrated + combined with humor.
Bitcoinist, i see this is just ordinary, but sometimes they presenting unique news and i like the website interface, unfortunately they site not use SSL.
News.bitcoin, have simple site, it's easier to read, also have unique presenting news.

The ugly one? i can't decide, because mostly helpful, but could be the media like this if become bigger will be control by people who wants earn a lot money, which means, possibly they will advertising some malicious site on their ads banner, ect. Like it's happens before, cointelegraph promote kind of malicious site(if i'm not wrong, bitpulos).

Reddit is the nice ones to collect some news or something useful, i'm not really use that, but i ever get a job use subreddit.

  Coindesk is site I like to visit, there I check price of bitcoin and when I see the price I always check headlines> I read just the ones I got attracted from the headline, there is always news about some things I dont have interest in, so I`m picky about it.
   More then this bitcoin news sites, I like to read what people have to say here. I like to read comments and what people think about something, that reflect public opinion and that is more important then the news, in that I dont trust always, I read with a reserve.

I'd like to say if Reddit is familiar to me about the social discussion place. 

Since i know about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency always looking for a good bitcoin news site and I found CoinDesk and also Cointelegraph which  i find much good information there.till now still using both.at least got some good information to read

Among that list in the poll, I hate Cointelegraph the most. Sometimes they are trying to shift the community's thinking and trying to impose their views by interjecting their opinions in the news their journalists write. Thats a very irresponsible kind of journalism. For what purpose they do that, I dont exactly know. 

In my humble opinion Bitcoinist is the best Bitcoin News Agency in the market. They cover all the important events and have very good writers. Their pieces are pretty informative and the site design is very nice.

I am not sure which one is best but the best site of news for me is coindesk , that is using by me this site from the time when it started its news of bitcoin . At this site you will get every news about bitcoin and also you will get proper news about the fluctuations of price of bitcoin in the market .
Some of the other sites are also best for bitcoin news you can try such as bravenewcoin , bitcoin magazine , cointelegraph etc .
Here one another thing is also a good to think that this forum is also a best source of bitcoin news , this forum is just like a newspaper of bitcoin to get daily new new things about the bitcoin and altcoin.

Well our local BTCBTCBTC facebook group is my best source of news, that aside from Coindesk.

I visit CoinTelegraph from time to time because of the aesthetics.  ;D

I usually follow https://news.bitcoin.com/ this site. I this is the best Bitcoin news site. I think most of the bitcoin lover follows this site. It's a popular bitcoin news site. So, I think who loves bitcoin and wants to know all kinds of update information about Bitcoin he or she should follow this site.

Isnt that Roger Ver's website? With his stance on how to scale BTC maybe that site's views could be baised towards a hard fork to bigger blocks. Its important for a news website to be as neutral as it possibly can.

none of them are good.
in my 2-3 years of experience seeing different articles from different news sites, i always see so many shitty news from all of them. sometimes they post click-baits, sometime they even post clear FUD, and sometimes they are paid to support a shitcoin before the whales pump it.

and if you search this board you  can see at least a dozen topic complaining about how each of these news sites censored the comment section when people complained about what they posted.

the thing is, these aren't really "news" sites these are just a website created to make more money for the owner. and that is all their purpose.

Coindesk and cointelegraph are awesome because they stick to the world event which influence Bitcoin hourly. However, if you want faster news, I suggest you should join some reddit group because people there mostly are experts and they know everything happen on this planet. I am not kidding :D believe me

I use https://coinspectator.com/ (https://coinspectator.com/) they curate in pretty much real-time news from all sites.

I am from Russia and usually I read some translated news on a local site. But I count the forum as that place where you can find crypto currency news from over the world, just open "press" thread and you will found all crypto news that ever had place to be ;)

CryptoCoinsNews is a place that I think provides useful information about cryptocurenncy.
In addition I also want a credible and reliable news. I see CryptoCoinsNews has it.

I don't think that we can say a particular site more better than other because possibilities of a particular site to find the better news is always equal.
Since here I voted for the cointelegraph but still I don't prefer to remain upto date with only this particular news site because there are another sites of the news which told us that  small small updates about the news sites of the Bitcoin which usually not available at the cointelegraph .
So here it is more better to subscribe the all types of the Bitcoin news related sites to remain update every hour .
Here a big example of the news of the legalisation of the Bitcoin in India I heard at a local news site of Bitcoin but I got the same news in the evening at such big sites .
So always use every Bitcoin news resulted site to remain update .

Cointelegraph by far is the best bitcoin news site I've encountered, the information they provide are up to date and I always make it a habit to check the site everyday to see what are the new updates or news.

I often look for bitcoin news from coindesk.com I think the news they provide is quite accurate and trustworthy.

Cointelegraph is indeed one of the media that provide the latest information about the development and trade of bitcoin and altcoin other. I think it deserves to be the best media pioneer right now.

Coindesk is the best, I've been using it ever since aside from the few local ones but coinbase is my recommendation for all bitcoin news. Also here on the forum. :D

Same here. To be honest, Cointelegraph and Coindesk both are good to gain knowledge about Cryptocurrency industry also help me to be updated. So, In the case, I mostly use these two news platform.

It's my first time to hear/read that coinbase starting a news site? Its a typo?  When did they start? ::)
But I can't argue that this forum gives all the information about bitcoin, international even on locals, since this news sites are sometimes releasing articles even its scam as long as they got paid.

Maybe I prefer coindesk.com as best of the three you've mentioned, because I am not having reliable information for those two sites. Of course those were the oldest but I have to only select one of the best and I think coindesk is probably the best among them as it provides updated sources of news and important guides in terms of cryptocurrency, and bitcoin related topics specially it's economic trend in the marketplace.

I prefer those two, coindesk.com and cointelegraph. I have found these two sites has been always active for the updates in crypto world. I'm not saying other bitcoin news website aren't. I don't have any preference on this but I used to visit those sites because when I'm using google chrome in my phone, there's always an update on those websites though I haven't installed any app related to them.
