They did this to me too.  I think the fuckers are stealing from their customers everytime the market moves a considerable amount.  Holy crap, don't use Coinbase.

I agree fuckem ....they banned my account just because I transferred funds from bitsler.com. Its my bitcoin I can do what I like with it.

Glad I got out of Coinbase when I did, to be honest.

They do a lot of fraudulent-looking things based on what I hear. It looks like this is what happens when you get a large bank-like company in a completely free market with no-one to regulate and ensure that their operation is maintained in a proper manner for each of their customers.

I never use exchanges that keep your funds on their site or have wallets. Coinbase always seemed like it would be the next to collapse for me so this kind of thing will only get more popular now.

I have not joined coinbase from the start. actually when I came to this forum I heard from some people that coinbase often lock accounts for nothing and at that time I decided to not join coinbase.

They are already halving many problems and issue also i heard that someone buying bitcoins worth of $1000 but after he buy he deducted $5000 usd in his credit card. he is complaining in community i saw some other post there and i think the  peopl who are posting positive comment are fake or alt accounts..
So if you are holding bitcoins in coinbase better to stay away or buying bitcoin using credit card better to terminate your bank credit card and get all of your funds before it drains..

Coz They're your Bitcoin Bank dude. I'm a coinbase User and I don't do Buy/Sell because It ain't available in my country. I haven't had any issue using it. I only Send/receive.

Nonetheless I'm moving away from the banks coz that ain't what bitcoin is all about.

Coinbase is shady company. I dont trust them at all. They love to steal from their customers.
I dont trust all web wallets because of these. There are some instances they lock your account and you cant get your funds.
They are not trustworthy. This company must be shut down.

I dont like any thing that offers to pay you to sign up for their service.
Affiliates get some bitcoins when they sign up their friends or something like that if they add a bank account and makes a deposit of $100. To get $15 of bitcoin? That they don't tell you after signing up for an account.
This right there is a not reliable honest service to deal with your money in the first place. >:(

Although, while I was using them (for a year before I decided to download electrum and other software clients) they did fulfill all of my transactions quite well (although I never sold/bought through them).


They also cover transaction fees which must get to be very epensive as the transactions are confirmed very quickly...

Coinbase recently questioned the origin of a decently small BTC payment I received to a Coinbase address, citing that they're a regulated service. XAPO has all the benefits Coinbase's wallet has plus no regulatory hassle or worrisome ToS restricting gambling, tumbling ETC.

If you're after an online, no fee, 2FA wallet just use XAPO. It allows for more financial freeome but is still not nearly as close to the freedom a wallet installed in one's own computer can offer.

I am sorry, but I have to disagree.  Mistakes happen and it seems that they are trying to make it right; however, I have never had an issue with them.  I did not see this mentioned, however did you verify the transfer through the email link they send you once you made the transfer?  I am sure you did, I am just baffled as to what happened.  I transferred 7.2 BTC when the price was $1,092 and I had no issue.  I wish you luck in the future, but I will take this post to heart and keep this in mind before allowing that much to build up with them again.

However I wish Kraken had an app that allowed you to buy with debit/credit card. Much easier than bank transfer.

Coinbase is known for this style. Its looks like a legitimate scam. Luckily, im not using this service eversince. When i saw someone complaining about this company. Im hesitating to use this service. If you want to buy bitcoin there. Think about it twice. If you already bought bitcoin there. Quickly transfer your funds to your wallet. Its very dangerous if you let your funds there stay for long time.

I am not even using coinbase idk nobody who is in real bsinnes who is my friend that is using poor coinbase .If you are intereted in some more popular bitcoin wallet pm me and i will give you info it is not blockchain ,It is much better because it have good option  because if you refer some person you get from that person 3 years referral comission and fee is 0.000¸tc per transaction.

I am just wondering why people think this.  Coinbase does tens of thousands of transactions a day, so mistakes will happen, it is not a perfect system, but I have been with them for 2 years with no issues.  It also seems that every issue they have had has been resolved.  I am not standing up for them as the best out there but they seem fair and take care of their own.

Coinbase has many case/issue like this. Duh! Until now it was not yet addressed? Maybe it will solve once we banned to use coinbase.
This is a serious case, they should not steal any amount in our btc, I observed it also many times that is why I frequently use coinbase nowadays. Let us careful with which wallet we are going to save out btc.

Coinbase crashes everytime when their is heavy market move either dump/pump and they claim they got DDOS attack, actually they will sell/buy their bitcoin on customers orders to make profit on those swings.  >:(

I used coinbase before until it took a day for them to release just 11BTC to an exchange where I do altcoin trading. Never used it again. Now use jaxx and blockchain

Coinbase isn't your traditional Bitcoin Wallet . Let's called it Our Bitcoin Bank . Coinbase wasn't built to be as centralized as we all thought. Yes, Bitcoin is decentralized. But You wouldn't expect everything connected to bitcoin to be decentralized too. I use Coinbase and I haven't encountered any problems so far (Not expecting any ish soon) I wonder why people keep huge amount of BTC on an exchange/Wallet like Coinbase.

I use daily Coinbase since 2014 year, I not had any problems evers. Even more I received weekly payments for my signature from bitsler (during 16 weeks) and others gambling websites in earlier times.

You just said that you transfered funds which came from bitcoin casino. Thats against their terms and you should have read that before you tranfered funds that came from casino. Thats your fault and you pay for that. I think most online wallet has the same terms also. Dont use online wallet if the funds you are going to transfer which came from casinos. I also hate coinbase anyway.

I have used Coinbase to cashout 5 figures worth of bitcoin at a time, to buy 5 figures worth of bitcoin at a time, and withdraw 100+ bitcoin, all on multiple occasions, and all with no issues to note.

They have recently raised their fees, which make them somewhat uncompetitive, however other than that, I would recommend using coinbase to others.   

Reading here and there, i read more and more complaints about coinbase; there are always some negative comments with any companies, some are legit and understable and  some not, but the one i see about coinbase make me worried about them...

Having to go public to have such issues addresses isn't acceptable for a "regulated" service in my opinion. Coinbase shouldn't assert to such tactics as canceling orders for whatever reason.

Lol you must have read first their TOS, obviously bitsler is a gambling site so blocking your account would be so easy because you broke their TOS. Although I have read at least 3 complains about the coinbase f*cking its users so still should choose not to use it anyways.

It still doesn't make any sense. Bitcoin is a decentralized currency and even If Coinbase isn't an ideal bitcoin wallet, Shutting down user's account with funds inside is insane.

They are shutting down accounts only in case you are violating rules and terms otherwise still its one of best exchange and we can trust them they are doing good job I am using them for last 3 years without any problem

Thats completely bullshit, coinbase is a shitty exchange government-whored and as we know you cannot trust cunts. I know its the only alternative of many, try localbitcoins folks.

The price you will get on LBC is a lot lower then you will get on coinbase (or the price you will pay for bitcoin is a lot higher then you will pay on coinbase) if you are wanting to buy at a specific time. The risk of getting scammed on LBC is also a lot higher than with coinbase.

I hope they are not in as bad a situation as some people say, because in this case there are few options for reliable exchanges. Even bitfinex has been hacked in the past year. A few months later coinbase went through legal problems. If we continue in this way users will be more insecure about using exchanges.

I'm still using coinbase service for my activity in Bitcoin receive and sent payment, but this is should be warning for me to change my wallet, i'm prefer to use dekstop wallet for next time, maybe Electrum or Multibit, is hard for me to use Bitcoin Core because need to download a large chain.

So you are expecting a decentralized treat to your bitcoins once it was stored Coinbase? Makes sense mate. That's a third party and all decentralized thing of bitcoin is not included once you stored it on an exchange wallet especially a web one.

And in the first place, why the hell a person will stored large amount on this exchange? Those people are in the possession of lots of money and they are not thinking some of risk associated when using a service of an exchange company. They are really taking care of their money lol.

Of course it does makes sense. If you want to have a full control of your amounts then you should not waste your time using their service because they are and exchanger and they have your amount. And in the first place you should have read their those if it is against your will then go simple

Thats a right and safe approach keep bitcoins safe in your own desktop wallet. Storing bitcoins at Online wallet providers like Coinbase is always a risk as they can anytime block your account making you deprive of your savings. They never give you your private key and hence they are in control of your coins.

Their network Interruptions are now a daily thing.
They yielded to the feds and IRS. They're basically lapdogs now.

Ive had an account with them for 4 years with several thousand £ in various currencies in my wallet, now they have all of a sudden reduced my daily debit/credit card limit to £5 ....FIVE FUCKING POUNDS...

I have been fully verified for years and even reverified and accepted recently...

My bank transfer buy limits is £100,000 yet debit card (which is the only ever means I use is £5)..banks transfer buys take 4 days so ther eis no chance is twenty thousand year I would ever buy crypto with a FOUR DAY DELAY... fuck off..
