I found a guy who was willing to sell to me when the price was high, but not after the crash..lol. I guess I can't blame him. I just placed a tiny order with my Coinbase account which I set up last week. We will see how that goes - they said they can't deposit my BTC till Thursday.

I think they are all scumbags but don't have such venom to something which works for others just maybe not everyone. I say this as PayPal, for me, would be the easiest method to buy BTC. No amount of excuses or examples can change the fact that bitcoin is irreversible, whereas Paypal is not.
