Here in my country. Only few shops are only actually accepting bitcoin. And they are very far away. What i usually do is i convert it into cash so i can buy stuffs i want. I usually buy foods, clothes and other necessities. Bitcoin here in my country is not that popular. I think thats yhe reason why theyndont directly accept bitcoin as payment. Once all people here starts adapting bitcoin. Im sure many shops and establishment directly accept bitcoin.

At my place i don't see any store accepting bitcoin. But i have a store here and will accept bitcoin as soon as my new branch will open (at the city) And i am building my online shop also i accept bitcoin as a payment. I think if we accept bitcoin on selling physical goods we need a permit on my country. I don't know what are the exact requirements on accepting bitcoins. I hope we don't need a permit to accept bitcoin as a payment. Soon I will inquire the government on what are the requirements to accept bitcoin on payment method on my store.

I guess most or all of the countries doesnt accept bitcoin yet maybe they're are not ready for it right now. Hopefully in the future bitcoin will be well knowned and accepted as payments for anything :)

If you want to buy something from the place where Bitcoin is not directly accepted you can always use Bitcoin debit card and your problems are solved because like any other card it's accepted everywhere.
Looking from my perspective there are still too few stores and merchants that are accepting and promoting Bitcoin as a payment method.

We cannot describe that every country does not accept bitcoin. Several countries have stores that accept bitcoin, few countries that have got increased number of bitcoin stores were US, Brazil, China and so on. Recently Japan too have got a big increase in stores than the past year. Most of the time I'll convert to fiat as there is less acceptance for bitcoin within the country.

I'm using bitcoin as an extra source of income. I do invest it on my trusted sites which pays me up to 25% per month. Whenever I withdraw my earnings in those sites, I immediately exchange it into fiat to buy the things that I really need. Just spending my bitcoin wisely :)

I use Bitcoin rather for investment, than for spending it for shopping etc..
I always remember the story of a man, who bought two pizzas for thousands of bitcoins.  ;D
I know it's good when currency flows, but personally I don't think now it's time for letting your coins go.

I did spent my bitcoin for buying a hardware for building my gaming rig, good thing that the seller is also into bitcoins and accepts payment through it. I wish that I can use my bitcoin for ordering online like pizza but most of the time I'm using my bitcoins as cash. I just use it occasionally for buying things online, I prefer to convert it to fiat.

In our country to be honest, bitcoin is not that popular since it is not yet open to the government yet, but I am using it by spending thru converting to fiat to transfer, like loading up my mobile phone, paying bills in electric and water bill I use bitcoin but they receive it with our fiat or in our own currency, and so we are looking forward for more in our country since it was used to illegal here as the news was used it and broad cast it in public, and so I am trying to make an online shop so my countrymen will know that they can spend they coins  on it, also advantage in both part like less tax issued there.

Bitcoin is not yet the worldwide currency..
It is only being used by some of the countries
to buy real stuff.
For now I haven't used it for real.
I just used it as a virtual currency.
That's all.

Bitcoin was developed with the vision of currency.
Though investing aspect of Bitcoin diluted this vision a little but still many merchants and enthusiasts helping it retain its vision.
You can buy domains/hostings over net. You can exchange it with other currencies from mediaries like localbitcoin.

There isn't an official "Bitcoin store" in my country. Right now, The only thing we can do with our bitcoin is either to buy, sell or exchange them to Fiat. Although recently, We can use bitcoin to buy other stuffs like airtime and other things so far you exchange it with your friend. It's a peer to peer kinda stuff but more like a trade by banter. ;)

Well there are many different things one can do with bitcoin and a lot of them in the world of internet and I think that not all users with bitcoin has a lot of privilege using all the specific things that they can do with it, because in some country there are cases that there are a few merchants that accepts bitcoin and not all can have any experience using it as is, in my case my country is one of them but there is a way so I can enjoy my bitcoins in my country in my wallet that are base on my country I can withdraw Bitcoin by the value of the fiat here, I can use my wallet to reload my phone and pay my bills more conveniently and fast!

I have used it for recharging my mobile in a website Bitrefill. In our india, almost 95 % of our people dont know about bitcoins. So, i have no chance of using it in shops. Yet, i have decided to buy digital gadgets in online. I hope things would change much faster and we could use bitcoins for our daily needs.

I can use it in different ways but big portion of my spending is by using it in gambling. I think most of us are doing that as well, I do trade and invest sometimes but it's not a regular activity for me. We are talking of spending, so the closest thing to that is my gambling activity.

This approach probably many, on day it is very convenient, but I try to use Bitcoin as little as possible, it is best to wait until better times, when its cost will be more.

Which kind of goods do you buy on that online shop ? I only purchase things around this forum and sometimes I buy some games from online people. It is hard to buy something with Bitcoin in my country since there are some laws which avoid people using it. it is very say :(

Here in Brazil are few physical stores that accept Bitcoin, the way we use Bitcoin here is to recharge prepaid cards and pay bank vouchers through websites that offer this service. Of course, there are also p2p sales, in facebook groups there are always people advertising products that can be paid in Bitcoin.

A person who likes fashion spends on clothes and accessories . Foody people spend on food. Starbucks has started accepting payment done in bitcoin. I am using this bitcoin to buy things I want, like gadgets, foods and clothes but ofcourse I cant directly use this coin to buy so I will cashout first, then I order in online shop, after receiving the item i will pay for it using fiat from bitcoin exchanger. Some Onlineshop from Facebook accepts bitcoin but im not surely sure that this page will not scam so Even If i want use it directly I cant.

Well, I live in a country where it is difficult to find a place that accepts bitcoin. according to the experience that I feel, it is very difficult to spend, or using bitcoin what you have. you need to trade in currency exchanger into your country, so you can use it freely. would be very difficult to use it in a place that still feels unfamiliar with bitcoin, because you need to explain in advance, and show proof.

Personally, I mostly use bitcoins on Steam games for my computer. They make it very quick and easy to make purchases with it, and the games are fairly cheap. However if I start to save more bitcoin, I transfer them

into Amazon gift cards and use it on any cool or interesting gadgets I might find on there. Being able to earn the bitcoins online and have a product show up at your doorstep is pretty nice.

Used to use Bitcoin to purchase CSGO skins and so for various activities, such as gambling or whatever, but right now I've stopped doing all of that and I've decided to go and save a lot of what I earn now, either in fiat that I keep in exchanges or in Bitcoin in wallets I have strewn around.

It's been doing well so far, so I'm not worried about my investments right now.

I'd like to spend some, but it's not worth it. The best stores that accept BTC are located in the USA and if I decided to buy there the shipping cost + customs tax would eat up all my savings. Also a very few shops accept bitcoins.

I personally do not spend bitcoins unless I am getting heavy discount.

like me, I almost did the same thing. I also find and save bitcoin in a long time, and then replace it into the form of fiat money, but, I then put it in the bank, because I felt it was better discount savings in a local bank. other than that, I also do a variety of investments, so I also get income in each month.

First , I would like to ask you one thing . How to do use you paper currency ( like USD or something).
The question i asked is similar to that of yours . As you just asking everyone about how are the using their money.
Well i prefer to use Bitcoins to buy the latest and awesome games on steam. Buy particular and costly skins .
And then trade them and make profits . This was just one way of using it. Nowadays people even use bitcoins is Starbucks.
Soon they will start using it in many other firms . And btw , we can juts convert Bitcoins into your own currency and use it
like normal cash.
So we can buy almost everything with that .

Yeah I agree that. There are only a few countries accept BItcoin as a currency so it is very hard to find a shop or a store which accept Bitcoin. In the next decade, I think the situation will change because people have to learn about technology and adapt to new innovation on this planet or they will absolutely be vanished

I spend Bitcoin a few times on gambling-Sports bets specifically, I bought camcorder from aliexpress with bitcoins through shopawl last year. I might pay my next Uber taxi trip with Bitcoin. The rest I first convert them to fiat before any procurement.

There are some shops here in our country who accepts bitcoin as a payment and also I can use it to buy some stuff like in dota by using p2p bitcoins. Most of using it as a online payment because price of bitcoins are not stable.

Steam offers you the Bitcoin payment method, so you can buy wallet codes for BTC if you're interested, without having to deal with anyone else. I'm skeptical most of the time when it comes to dealing with others for BTC or other stuff we can't directly trade, even when there is an escrow in there. I paid $10 on Steam until now and I don't regret it!

Eversince I joined thebitcoin community, i think of it as an exta source of income! It helps me a lot specially in my daily finances. It taught me how to earn money online. It also opened my mind on the idea of trading, gambling, investments and diferent kind of scam and how to avoid it.

How do you earn an income from bitcoin?  I have some on a phone but am not sure how to turn it into cash and not sure if I should.  What kind of scams should I be aware of?

In my country/place where I live there is no such place where I can spend my bitcoins and buy something with bitcoins. That is not the only reason why my choice is to save bitcoins instead of spending them and investing them in suspicious services.
When that day come, and if it comes, I will think about will I spend my bitcoins on some stupid buyings, or I will continue to save until bitcoin price reach some high price.

I personally use bitcoin to pay the telephone bill and that every day I used it for trading.
Actually, to avoid fraud is easy enough. The key is never easy to trust with the people we meet in online plus another not tempted by the offer of investment with high interest and unreasonable. Which is usually done by hyip. Thank you

Your thought is actually correct, as per me I never trust hyip and anyone even my friend told me that they are actually paid by those hyip but still I am not joining any hyip, yes they are paying at first but after a year or else then they are gone. I also personally use bitcoin to pay our utilities expense less hassle and I also use this in remitting money for my relatives.

Its price can drop or crash also. But I think in positive way. I am hoping is price will double in next few years.I still collect bitcoins from various faucets.I also own two faucets .I collect bitcoins from other faucets and refill it in my faucet. In that way I spend some bitcoins . But I dont use bitcoins for buying other goods. Collecting  bitcoins is like hobby to me.This is my case.

Mostly, I trade my Bitcoins, but here you will find some Airline that take Bitcoin and you will get huge discount for doing so because of the difficulties of accessing Forex presently in my country, I can also shop directly from China with BTC now because there is a cap on the amount of online purchase you can make with your card. The Forex issue in my country has really helped BTC to gain more users here.

I will not disturb what you are doing right now. Still I like to suggest you to keep on adding more bitcoins to your investment holding. At least that way, there would be some movement of bitcoin transactions in your region that might trigger some adoption somewhere near to you.

When adoptions are happening in rapid way, you will get chances to use your bitcoins in very near future so that you might buy something big too.

There are some online services which offers they will pay to any shop of your choice (with fiat) if you pay them in bitcoin.
Technically it is almost the same like changing bitcoin to fiat and then spend it for the desired goods, but in reality it can make your life a bit easier.

Fortunately bitcoin's market is increasing. Hence, bitcoin is becoming popular and hoping that some
online website store like amazon, and lazada can accept bitcoin soon. Therefore, bitcoin will be used by many users and making it more popular in the market. Sooner or later, it'll be the mainly used as mode of payment online. Hoping that in other countries, they can able to used bitcoin same as in the Philippines that they can pay bills with bitcoin.

If ever is won't be accepted in my country legally then I am still comfortable holding Bitcoin with me  because my local wallet allows iit to be converted to Fiat currency which has more uses than Bitcoin. My wallet has an option to convert your Bitcoin in Fiat currency equal to its Fiat value. This will allow me to spend money that I have earned through Bitcoin.

My biggest spending is the rent. My landlord is bitcoin-friendly and I don't have much cash left so it was a no-brainer. I also use it to buy online stuff wherever possible. I used OpenBazaar many times for it. I travel a lot in Asia and sometimes there are vendors accepting bitcoin so I'm happy to spend some money there. Also, when someone pays for my dinner etc I repay them with bitcoin.

You are actually lucky compared to me. There are only one two stores in my whole country that accept Bitcoin. But I don't really use Bitcoin on a daily basis to make purchases. It is more of a investment for me and I feel like spending it would be a waste. However, I sometimes do spend it when I have to. For example, there are some sites that don't let you deposit if you don't verify your identity. I don't really like giving away my information so I just deposit with Bitcoin. I really only use Bitcoin to buy games and gamble sometimes.

Right now bitcoin is still hard to spend in real world to buy some physical goods or things that we want. But there are still many ways to spend it online. In our country, there is an exclusive bitcoin wallet where you can top-up your mobile phone by using it. Some big companies here already accepts bitcoin as payment. Like electric, water, and credit card bills. Even monthly internet bills accepts bitcoin as payment. You can also buy some game credits like steam wallet codes by using bitcoin.

Most of the time I prefer to spend my bitcoin to altcoins because I see that there are many opportunities to increase the bitcoin volume, whatever the bitcoin price becomes, because I like holding bitcoins for a long time.

Every investment has it own risks but we have to do this if we want to have a little profit, but we should be careful because there are many pumps and dumps in the altcoin trading and this happens more often than in the bitcoin.

I don't find it hard to spend in real world because there are local exchanges that are ready to help us to convert our bitcoins when we desire to sell it. And they are just accepting it and converts it to fiat, in that case we can just simply use our bitcoins for buying physical goods but we just need to sell it first. That's the only thing.
And its also much cheaper when we exchange it that's why im collecting my earned btc and use it to pay some of my bills like electricity, water and mobile phone bills its really a big help because i dont need to fall in line and wait for some time to pay those bills, just a click away from our btc exchangers and it will be pay in the comfort of our pc/smart phones.

OP is clearly talking about spending bitcoin directly not converting it in fiat, and there are indeed few merchants thata ccept this, like dell, newegg, steam

but you can rely on some world-wide third party like all4btc or purse.io to spend your bitcoin and get rid of fiat, there is also open bazar...

Here in our place there is only few stores accepting btc, usually i spend it by loading my mobile phone or paying my bills but if i want to buy clothes or anything that is not available online i have to convert it to fiat to be able to spend it.

In some countries bitcoin cannot be use to buy Real stuffs like food clothes and other goods and services but even though bitcoin can be used in plenty of ways mostly in the cyberworld it is used in online markets like Game Credits, Gadgets some use it in the dark webs to purchase weeds, drugs. Others are trading it to a different crypto-currency or exchanging to dollars, so how to you use it ? :)
If you cant directly spend your bitcoin because its not still available in your country you could still always exchange your bitcoin to your local fiat since these way is the common thing that most people do because we all know that bitcoins adoption in not too spread throughout the world that's why we  would exchange it to fiat on our local wallet service provider.

There are many ways to use/spent bitcoin. Because I am using online wallet. There are markets there, you can pay bill. Also you can buy load. Because I haven't verify my account on the online wallet yet I store my bitcoin the I spent it for buying a load. And I used it by investing and trading because it is the way to earn big.

i think the best option that i can do to spend my bitcoin is by withdraw my bitcoin into real money and then we can buy something we want because there is not many store offline that would accepting bitcoin as the payment. and this is why many of bitcoin user will choose this way to spend their bitcoin including me.

Not only you and me. I think most of the people here in the forum are doing the same. They just the sell out their btc and change into fiat and using it. If many sites or businesses starts by accepting bitcoins means that would be purely helpful for many btc users.

The way you described how you use bitcoin it seems that you are using coins.ph and you are form the Philippines. Its just my hint its because I am also paying my bills, buy a load using my bitcoins through coins.ph. I am also doing some trading in yobit and after I earn enough bitcoins I will convert it to Philippine peso to purchase necessary things for my family.

I buy things like adpacks in revenue share sites, advertising material like paid to click ads, paid to singup offer, traffic exhange and other things with which I can advertise some site which have referral option. Also I invest my bitcoin in hyip sites,I buy positions in matrix-cycler sites where I dont need to get referrals to earn a money, that is one kind of matrix site with concept created month ago. Also I buy tickets in sportbetting sites and I play poker with bitcoin and I gamble on a dice sites with bitcoin. Also I buy other cryptocurrencies with bitcoin and I trade with them like a pro and I make a nice profit.I dont use bitocoin in real life to buy something because in world bitcoin isnt enought popular so small amount of shops are using them so I cant spend my bitcoins in real life now.Right now I only advertise, trade, invest and gamble with bitcoin.

Surprisingly large number of vendors, online  merchants, and platforms that accept direct Bitcoin payments in our country so I can readily pay using  Bitcoin. I also buy goods thru internet that I needed using Bitcoin as well. However, there are times that I need to convert it to our local currency just to spent it buying some stuff or if I needed money to pay other bills.

You are lucky you have that kind of development in your country, I have been waiting that vendors in our country will finally adopt with bitcoin so I can experience the convenience of spending my bitcoins online. That is just good on your part, expect more development, for sure you are living in a big country.

It's really weird that there is a psychiatric in my country where you can spend BTC at but we've got less than five total shops thst accept it (and most of them are electronic shops). I guess we have to wait a little more until it will get into a wider use around the world.

Me too. You can not find a shop or a store that accept Bitcoin. I can only use bitcoin to buy some online stuff, just like you. Exchange places have helped me a lot in converting BItcoin into FIAT so that I can use my BItcoin everywhere. I hope that one day most of the people in my country will understand what is Bitcoin and start using it as a currency

In certain countries, things are quite advanced. The greater the level of people's knowledge about technology, the greater the chance of finding people who know Bitcoin in those countries, and consequently the greater the adoption in different services. There are already places where you can even buy a plane ticket using Bitcoin.

to me as belong to the backward area of my country. its a hilly area, but we have   2G internet facility here. when i brought the idea about bitcoin in my area there was not a single person who even hear the name of bitcoin but after that when i start work on it i shared the ideas with my friends and then now they also start working on it. i still we do not have any facility of using bitcoin in local shops and i am hopeful that as soon as the number of bitcoin users will increase here the possibility of using bitcoin in local shops will also increase. .

At this moment I can not purchase anything directly with the bitcoin (other than dealing with the users in bitcointalk's country section) so I have to convert bitcoins in fiat in order to spend it offline. I don't convert it usually but I spend some of the coins online to refill my mobile, DTH bills as it is the only option for me to spend it directly.

That's great, which service you are using? I am thinking to opt in for a bitcoin card but I found that card is proving 10% to 20% costlier for me after considering my expenditure and card fees. It would be extremely helpful on foreign trips but for domestic use (and the level of my expenditure), I don't find it economically beneficial to use it at this moment.

I generally use it for freelancer work, I either work myself and earn bitcoins or I spend for others on my Project.
I always told people if you are going to do a million dollar work or even couple hundred thousand than regular fiat is easy, try sending 10$ from Europe to say India.

How is easy is that before bitcoin? Normally it was a pain in the ass, I do freelancer work and I deal with 5-10-20 dollars which means that they can not directly send it to me if there weren’t bitcoin. Now I get to reap the benefits of it :D

Where I live, it is tough to purchase real life items using bitcoins. So I mostly use it for Steam games. However, there is a great service called Gyft, https://www.gyft.com/ , which allows you to purchase gift cards for

almost any online site, and one of the payment options allows for Bitcoins. So I've recently been purchasing Amazon gift cards using my bitcoins through Gyft. It is a nice feeling purchasing something online using

bitcoin and having it show up to your house in the next day or two (Amazon Prime). However, I wish everyday items that I purchase in stores like malls were able to be bought with bitcoin. Hopefully the day will come.

Luckily, here in my place, we have two bitcoin ATMs and a few coffee shops that accept bitcoin as payment  ;D But still there are some problems while using these machines. One ATM belongs to a restaurant, so every time I want to use my bitcoin as fiat money, I have to order something to wait for the transaction to be confirmed and it's long like a century. It's quite inconvenient :'( The coffee shops are good, though, except for a few times they don't accept bitcoin for no reason.

There are still inconvenience in a transaction regarding bitcoin it needs to eat up a lot of time and patients, you can never really say that bitcoin is pure inconvenience in just one point of view because there are a lot of people usually taking such problems, like in my case I will withdraw my bitcoin on the ATM the transaction in my wallet has been approve that is why I am fairly confident that I can get my money but the ATM has a problem and doesn't know any transaction that I am inputting on it, well there is no 100% real convenient regarding bitcoin but I am still showing my support with it because of the earnings.

beside that, i think the news about bitcoin itself in real life is not much depend on internet and i think it is our duty to introduce bitcoin in to public and spread the news about bitcoin.

Prepaid load is a good business here in our country considering people want something cheaper as always. Not much use the postpaid so my loading business is blooming. Add up the people who want to buy something online. They just go to me and ask a favor to buy it through bitcoin for they have no money online and cash on delivery is not available in the item that they are buying. I just add up some percentage whenever they want it as soon as possible.

I've yet to find a local shop that directly accepts Bitcoin as payment. So, I haven't paid with bitcoin in person yet.

But, we do have a local exchange that lets us pay utility bills, tuition, phone credits, etc. We pay bitcoins and the exchange probably converts it to fiat then they pay the service. It's convenient and conversion to fiat is easy as well.

I've also used bitcoin to pay for some online stuff like membership, e-books, and some game credits.
Plus, there's also the investments and the occasional deposits for gambling.

there are many ways to use bitcoin whether online or offline but the most noticeable use of bitcoin is thru online like buying digital goods and if your into porn they are opening there payment thru bitcoin now but not mostly because they are profiting from it usually to those underage people who want to subscribe to their site now knowing they are underage. Offline forms of spending bitcoin are too small at the moment and its hard to find one who accepting it depending of country of origin.

i think online shopping is the best way of spending bitcoin , in fact in our area there is not such a shop where we can use bitcoin. therefore we mostly change our bitcoin first into  fiat and then use it for completing our daily needs.

I typically just use it to buy some digital items that are relatively cheap.
Nothing too expensive or extravagant. ;D
I only claim my bitcoins from faucets nothing too much earned doing those.
