Basically, techno-anarchists believe that advanced technology tends to have a liberating effect on society, and that we should utilize it for that purpose. Bitcoin, the blockchain, peer-to-peer networking, 3D printers, and the meshnet are all great examples. Any other techno-anarchists out there? The closest I could find was crypto-anarchism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crypto-anarchism), but that seemed too specific because not all of these technologies are based on cryptography. I don't see why it matters, though, as you can still agree or disagree with the arguments presented. |
