Title: Building my first rig... Post by: HowGudAmI on April 13, 2013, 08:48:51 PM Hi guys, I am looking to build my first mining rig for BTC or LTC... I have done a little research but the large quantity of motherboard/cpu/ram choices etc make it difficult to know if I am doing the right thing.

Comments please? Am I correct in assuming I can expected 600kh/s on LTC and 600mh/s on BTC? How many watts will it pull doing this? What else will I need to purchase? Does this setup allow more cards to be added in the future? I would hope that I can make a return on my investment in <6 months. EDIT: Also the graphics card comes with about £100 worth of games which I would sell on to lower my initial investment and actually get the card for about £140 Title: Re: Building my first rig... CPU- Fine if rig is just for mining Ram - 8GB, if just for mining is OTT. Motherboard - You can add a 2nd card, but not for gaming. PSU-Fine. You can probably 650mh/s with an overclock, probably on stock volts. More if you up voltage. Overclocking is also a lottery. 600 kh/s or so depending on OC. Maybe more/ maybe less, depending on oc.
