Bitcoin Transaction Fees

Bitcoin transactions from your Xapo account to other Xapo accounts are not subject to processing fees.
Outgoing bitcoin transactions from your Xapo account to a bitcoin address outside of Xapo will be charged a fee of BTC 0.00019322.
Wallet

Incoming bitcoin transactions to your Xapo Wallet equal to BTC 0.00028983 or less are subject to a special processing fee of BTC 0.00019322 so as to cover the transaction cost of the bitcoin network. This special processing fee will be automatically deducted from the respective transaction.
For example:
If you receive more than BTC 0.00028983, no fee applies.
If you receive more than BTC 0.00019322 and up to BTC 0.00028983, then a fee of BTC 0.00019322 will be deducted. The amount to be credited will be the difference between the incoming amount and the processing fee.
If you receive less than BTC 0.00019322, then a fee equivalent to the amount received will be charged. In this case, the amount to be credited is 0.
AMOUNT RECEIVED   FEE
More than BTC 0.00028983   0
Between BTC 0.00019322 and BTC 0.00028983   BTC 0.00019322

Thanks for the info, Mexican!

For users and faucet owners this is horrible. At least the fees don't apply to Xapo to Xapo transfers.

What a freaking scam, I can understand a fee, but that amount is rediculous! Plus, if I understand correctly, they want a fee for receiving coins? I've never heard of such a thing, usually you pay to send! So now, you pay to send and to recieve?

No thanks. There's no incentive to use that wallet service.

This is the most sh*t fees I've encountered, the receiver is the one that is going to pay? What the hell is Xapo thinking? Although I'm glad that Xapo to Xapo transactions are not affected, but other wallet to Xapo?

After getting personal information from their users, now they apply fees for receiving coins?

Xapo users will surely gone if they are going to continue this.

this is a strange move from Xapo, i've not heard of anyone being charged fees for "receiving" money before!
but for faucet owners and users the important part of this is...

Bitcoin transactions from your Xapo account to other Xapo accounts are not subject to processing fees.

that is how most Xapo faucets work - off chain transactions between the faucet owners Xapo account and the faucet users Xapo account - so there is still ZERO fee there.
sending the funds out to another person will incur a fee (as described) but then that is always the case with on-chain transactions.

Hi mexicantarget, do you know how updated this information? I just want to be sure, because as far as I know, before, there is really a fee everytime a user sent bitcoins to someone who did not have a Xapo account, but they already eliminated it. I don't want to cause confusion, just want to clear this thing since I'm also a xapo user. I just checked their FAQ and it seems that there's no changes.

Does Xapo charge a fee to send bitcoin to someone?
Xapo does not charge network transaction fees. Sending bitcoins using Xapo to another person, whether they are another Xapo user or not, is free regardless of the amount.

I can understand that Xapo don't want to accept dust transaction to their service, it can be real headache. But it's strange that receiver have to pay fees. So, there will be double fee - sender pays transaction fees and receiver pays Xapo fees.
In general, it won't affect mostly Xapo faucets, because these faucets pays from Xapo to Xapo. But for all other faucets, Xapo wallet isn't good anymore to receive payments.

I am guessing that most of the sensible people, will now give Xapo the boot in the backside it deserves.
Very disgusting of them.

And they have all your personal details, which is your fault for even going with them in the first instance.

This will entirely change their future if they won`t change it. No service can claim transaction fee from a reciever.

I have also received this notification from XAPO.

So basically Xapo went all Xapo over us.

Would need to remove it totally.

Luckily i had already started switching my games to FaucetHub.
