Title: Maincoin - is this a good thing to buy into their ICO
Post by: swogerino on January 24, 2017, 07:52:43 PM
I just saw an ad of theirs and it started selling their ICO just on the 15th ending in a week.
So my question is would if be a good idea to invest into this coin?
It looks like a solid investment but you know almost all ICO are deceiving to the potential investors.
So would like to get an outsider's viewpoint on this one before anything disastous happens in my decision to do anything drastic like buy 0.5btc into the ICO before they remove it on February 4th.

But if I just buy some of their coins and put it into their wallets.
Would you think this would be a good investment?
Since you say this ICO seems like bunk. Just like all the others that have come before it.

I can't find any info on this coin, how about a link or two?

nevermind I found something. lol looks like a joke coin to me.

They are offering incentives of up to 75% bonus for early signer uppers.. fishy as fuck.

I saw this ICO posted just before christmas. I thought it was a joke. I would never give these guys my money.

If you want to gamble on a social media platform coin then buy .5 BTC of AMPS (synereo) as they are way below ICO price. Its the same thing that will happen to this maincoin except that the synereo guys may actually do something. High risk = high rewards. But in all likelyhood you will lose money.  :P

Yes that is the very one. I saw it advertised on a banner ad on btc site so I wanted to see what it was about.
The creator just posted this:
Good afternoon!
Yesterday, there were problems with the distribution of the coins, but invested money already in the investors' wallets.
We apologize for the technical problems.
For any questions can contact ed.w@maincoin.org

Investing in this ICO is the same as sending your 0.5 BTC on a paper wallet and use it to clean your anus after a big dump.  ;)

Personally i think buying a few maidsafe coins is your best bet while there still fairly cheap .If there any hype the coins could rocket up in price and you could sell then .I think remember with anything do not get greedy and only put money in you can afford to lose  .Think like  this if they go bust i dont mind losing X .I planning on buying  a small bit every week currently have 40 dollars worth

The only thing that shows me that these ICO are just scam jobs is they are over saturating themselves
and that is a clear sign that they just want to make people send them btc then don't deliver any of their promises in the end and just run to not have any problems from their investors any longer.
Look at ARK and DECENT campaigns.
It looks like they are just doing this bounty system for the members then eventually will exit from the scene with nothing to be blamed for cause they are just offering their own coin/bounty for their investors which probably won't be worth anything once they give them out.
