i installed the AMD catalyst and the rig is running OK. Now i read several times that the AMD ADL SDK should be installed and i am wondering what functionality/performance gain it adds? Greets ImI Uh, well if your mining then you have the SDK installed as it is a prerequisite for mining. It often comes with the Catalyst package. Title: Re: Why do i need the AMD ADL SDK?? Post by: Bogart on April 14, 2013, 01:01:43 PM When I compile cgminer, I always make sure to link it to ADL. If I don't it will be unable to read temperatures from the GPUs.

Post by: Mylon on April 14, 2013, 07:44:16 PM Not entirely sure, but from what I understood from the cgminer manual, the APP SDK actually allows you to mine, and the ADL SDK actually allows you to see temps, control fans etc.
