Today was a CRAAAAAZY DAY! I've connected in the morning and saw that PascalCoin price increased by 900% and I disconnected.

Got outside for like 6 hours and when I got home again, PascalCoin increased by 4800%!!!

I actually didn't profit BUT I had many questions running in my mind. I hope someone can explain to me:

How this happened? Someone pumped it? Who? Why? How? Can this happen again? Maybe with another coin?

If anybody can clear things up for me, I'll be so glad ;)

It went up because it was listed on Poloniex and most coins that are listed on one of the largest exchanges usually are very successful.

almost every coin that added to poloniex, the price must go up, not only PASCAL, remember when the ZEC that cost up to 1 ZEC = 3000 Bitcoin ++

not every coin get this kind of pump when listed on poloniex, this pascal coin was on some minor exchange till 2 days ago with a value of 500 satoshi and low or zero volume

it looks like poloniex did a favor to somebody or to themselves playing this way, to be honest when an exchange start doing this is not a good sign

Is there somewhere web site or some script, where it is possible to cross-check Cryptopia and Poloniex (and other exchanges) more or less automatically to see what coins are not listed yet, but may be listed soon?
Anyway is ready to make a code for that or point on such a code?

PS I ve made 1000% on Pascal, but I am doing such comparisons manually and also using different math methods for evaluation of the underpriced coins.

Can you tell me more about your mathematical methods please?

Congrats on the people who profited on this coin. So far pascalcoin has been trading pretty well on poloniex. Though, it's still really volatile and might even just suddenly drop, so maybe everybody should be careful when trading it. Good luck to all traders holding this coin.

it was a dead coin that someone decided to accumulate about a week ago and price started rising a bit, and obviously the volume picked up too.
then pump started, first phase yesterday with a small rise and shakeout and then today with the big rise and cashout.

now watch for dead cat bounces and mini rises because of it until we are back at 560 satoshi again.

I see people are actively trading PASCALCOIN in poloniex, even buy order are very high like 350Btc. Seems very interesting after long time again i am seeing very huge volume in poloniex. Will keep on eye on this may be whether it will maintain it's price are not in future.

I doubt if it will stay there for long but in any case price would not fall below 0.001 btc so anyone who bought below it would still be in profit.
As far sudden increase in price is concerned well I am sure it is the handy work of some pump group as Pascalcoin didn't create much hype in crypto world

Yea really the volume of Pascalcoin is insane. I have never seen 155 bitcoin volume at 5 min with my eyes before Pascalcoin. It is very very excited to watch the movement of this cryptocurrency. And also the volatility is very high. A good coin for trade if the movements will continue like this.

Why would Polo do this? Why would they choose Pascal? are they behind it?I think the most profit is made by dev with this pump and there is no reason Poloniex would do him this favor unless they have a bigger chunk of share in Pascal.

For the last few years my strategy has been to profit from the scams. Try to buy in early whatever sounds interesting, and carefully look after the people who pull the strings. All I have been doing is skimming off the fat.

But for the most part crypto is just an industry for building oil pumps. I loved the concept of ethereum, because they've been selling refurbished pickaxes. Build your own oil pump and prosper!

I was surprised when I saw this. A few days ago the coin was worth less than 600 satoshi, now that's worth something around 64,000 sathoshi at poloniex. It seems that the currency does indeed bring innovations, but I'm not sure how easy this could be implemented in Bitcoin itself, if necessary.

In fact, this price increase did not happen naturally. Slow, organic, and steady growth would have a better effect on the currency in the long run.

Thanks. I believe it is a large amount using as reference the number of coins in circulation and the market capitalization, at the present time. The coin will need to attract users and adoption, more than pumpers and dumpers, so that there is not much negative effect on the price with the increase in the number of coins in circulation.

This is not just inflation but high inflation.  Pascal would need a constant flow of capital coming in or the high inflation rate would end up killing the marketcap and price.  Miners will always dump down to $0 and a lot of money has to come in to meet their demand.

It's a smart move by pump groups to reinvigorate the crypto gamblers market...  I bet there are very few people that have actually bought this coin, and almost all the volume was in house...

You are absolutely right. Not only in cryptocurrencies market, but also at the big market, manipulation is one big part of this trading job. If you accept to invest your money in the market (even at in the big market like NASDAQ or Dow jones) you have already accepted to be manipulated.

If you knew of this coin's history then you would know what I'm talking about.

When the coin first launched it was wallet mining only. Someone figured out that the dev was using SHA256 so they threw their GPUs at it while everyone was still mining with CPUs. There is one large whale that first got the coin on polo, then pumped the shit out of it and now they are selling their stacks to everyone else.. watch this go back down to sub 1000 satoshis and cry.

Yet it continues to grow with no end in sight. While there is no worked pool, who do not sell especially.

I believe Polo adds coins when requested...not by anyone though. If you're a whale and been trading on Polo, pretty sure you'll get one of those 1 free tickets to add a coin of our choice lol.

It is a very good exchange and it is a good opportunity to make tradings there, especially this Pascalcoin which I saw it days ago but I didn't take any action because I thought it is just another coin which is going to get dumped/pumped within a short period of time, but when I went today to check it, I was looking at the middle of the listed coins and couldn't find it because it is listed the first one. This increase is not normal.

I missed the initial move but have been buying on the way up. I don't recommend anyone do it, but even now at 157000 sat the market cap is $8m...so if it's a good coin controlled by whales it is possible it could go higher...who knows. :)

I'd have to disagree. There is so much room in the world for more than just bitcoin.
Pascal coin now has a lot of its coins tied up with people with deep pockets. The longer it stays up the more we will have "price acceptance".  There is so much money in the world looking for a home in alternative investments. Stocks don't appear cheap, the bond bubble is possibly bursting.

If the tech works it could be attractive to many people.

I will disagree as I have been following this coin since early days.

I am new to Crypto but I can judge that this is not a clone of other coins, has unique address system (like bank account), there was no premine by the dev as in most of the new coins, there was no ICO (www.icocountdown.com) list as this coin for mining only and this coin could be mined with CPU in initial days. Fortunately I mined it with 4 CPUs. After people got interested in this coin many started to mine with GPU and by the way GPU miner was open sourced as well. Obviously coin became difficult to mine with time and only people with good GPU Rigs were able to mine.

Coin got listed on cyptopia and was sold from 500-2500 sat.

People made a campaign to vote this coin to be listed on POLO, (I also voted with many others) and finally this coin listed on POLO.

Yes the most of the coin supply is in the POLO exchange account, (I also deposited there) and I am also not happy about it as it will decrease the interest to keep your wallet and nodes open (I am keeping my wallet open for helping network)

This coin has good future.

Just remember 10000 bitcoins were used to buy one pizza in 2010.

This Pascal coin pump reminds me of the ETC story, this is the way Poloniex list it and it just catch fire. I would have loved to take part of the cake but I'm already late to the party. I just hope miners will not kill it the way they kill Lbry tokens

i really can't believe they'd make that knowledge public. etc's addition was a complete surprise at least in terms of timing. they've got their own insider trading to think of first.

We know that there is a lot of manipulation in this, but it's a really impressive result... if you invested one Bitcoin a few weeks ago, today it would give more than one hundred. It shows that everything can still happen in crypto.

It was manipulation such as on ETC in July. This is not only a good opportunity to make money at the races but also a high risk to get stuck for a long time, maybe forever. Now it is unclear what will happen to the ETC and the price will return to 500k as it was at the start. Now the question arises: Is Pascal grow up after such a fall?

It may be another wave, but it is impossible to predict. We must look at the situation, and if you begin manipulating the decide to take part in it or not.

Really sorry for you man. It is a very hard decision to sell, to buy or to wait now. But I am sure that there is many people as you who bought at high price maybe even higher than you at 160k and now dont know what to do. No one can predict the future situation of this coin. Yeah with the chart, very similar to ETC.  I felt the bollinger bands on the chart were really tight for a little while, so I bought at .00069 or something.  Now its much higher, but the question is, how high will it go ?  Hard to say, but I feel its got legs to go up a lot more.  The only problem is, its up and down so much in % that its better to set a super low stop loss and forget about it for 24-48 hours.  else im too tempted to buy or sell and without fail, its always a bad decision.

Yes there is already some pump today on pascal again but i think this will be last pump like in every new coin listing.

Even in the big market, there is always this kind of speculations despite laws. For the big player without speculations earning is very hard. So we are always going to see speculations. Best thing to do is to follow and to join speculations.

no one on the exchanges gives a shit about the features. they only want to pump. hardly any of these alts ever leave the exchange wallets once they're in there.

Maybe you can try to trade for 3%-5% at the level of 65-70k. If you sell at 70k and buy 65k level, 2-3 times your cost decrease. Maybe you cannot make a profit but better than nothing. Meanwhile, you have to be very careful because if there will be a pump you have to be in it. Good luck my friend

Yes, alike a market maker was commuted on a Bella. As quickly it's was blown up after freezing. 1400 BTC volume for a hour on Poloniex. I will not be surprised if to the morning we will see second Pascalcoin.

Me and other few guys from the ''system'' we bought around 2,3 Millions Pascal , before to be listed on Poloniex,  We''ve paid around 30 to max 70 Sat/coin. That''s good price, right? :)) These coins are not useful and they will not be useful never for something in tech  BUT they are Very good to make money, Millions in few days, for US   :) :)

I do not know, maybe because I like greedy people who make me rich , maybe I like to make big money stake from nothing BUT I DO NOT LIKE what Poloniex do with their users . 70% from the total BTC volume on Poloniex belongs to Poloniex, they just Pump and Dump every coin from the system. At the moment they are pumping Pascalcoin. The price is rice till 44 k from 35 k with nearly 100 bitcoin volume. But it is impossible to predict the near future of this altcoin. It is too risky, but also can be really very, very profitable for short term (maybe for 5-10 min). A dump is also plausible at any price. Lets see what will go on.
