Website shows it as a watch address as well. Normal However, the option is still there to "Sign Message" (even though the private key is not available). The "Sign Message" should not be available on the site. This causes a confusion for people that want to use an address for signing messages (for #Bitcoin-OTC as an example) as they believe they are doing it correctly (and they are), but the response given is invalid without the site saying as much. I suggest that blockchain.info remove the ability to "Sign Message" when the private key isn't available. It still brought up the question.... What is it using to sign if the key isn't available to sign with? |
