I've never heard of Viber, perhaps they are more well known in other regions of the world. They say any press is good press, and if that press surrounds offering something free in relation to a humanitarian crisis it's probably going to be a good thing for the company. But, it's always wonderful to see a company abusing this type of situation in order to get their brand out their. Though, I guess it's the type of marketing infested world in which we live today. This feature has been free for a lot of apps for quite a long time already. Nice work viber. But i think the intention is good though i doubt that this will boost their market. With this news coming in then probably the move made by President Trump to ban muslims in their country is not purely bad news. If Trump did not ban 7 muslim countries then this services will not be made free. Hope there will be more companies like this one that will offer free services to the affected communities. I do not think a company with this move abusing something,it is giving people something for free but it's a good advertisement for them also.Perhaps this move will get more new users to them,there is places in the world where Viber certainly have space for attracting new users.
