What do you think guys ?

I think the price will soon pump up to $2000. The rate at which the demand for bitcoin is increasing this days will make this happen. As at today bitcoin is trading above $1000 and I expect it to move up any moment from now. Fundamentally, bitcoin is good to buy now as the prices will still be going up except something technically happened along the way.

That depends on your definition of soon, if you are thinking bitcoin can reach that price in the next months then I don’t think that is going to be possible, but maybe in the next 5 years that price will be reachable.

I think it could happen, but maybe not. It might happen soon or could take a long time. Or it may never happen. That's what I think.  ;D

It will happen, when? We have no idea, we need some incentives for it first. What I have in mind is:
- favorable economic events in China, India, USA - basically every country which has any influence on bitcoin markets
- rise of bitcoin powered companies, startups, funds - for example projects like Winlevoss ETF should easily bring price to $1500 level
- lack of antibitcoin legislation

This price is achievable but how soon it's hard to say. No one of us doesn't have cristal ball to see the future. It depends on so many things on the market and on China too. To my opinion maybe it's too soon to expect 2000$ within the next few months but in some period during this year it might happen.

If it was to happen any time soon and at a rapid rate that you and more than half if not all the users on this forum would like to see it happen, would take all the power of top nations (USA/China/Russia/Germany) to agree on allowing blockchain into each and every economic system that they use and call it the Global Currency that it should be known as instead of just a cryptocurrency.
Is this going to happen any time soon? No. Because they do not want to give up on having their own countries currencies still hold value to their own citizens.
Atleast the UAE has accepted it as a currency and that is a start.

Once donald trump speak up about bitcoin in good manner
Once there is economic crisis like what was happened to greece when cash withdrawal being taxed
So people will move to bitcoin as the best alternative to store their value
And once there is big companies like google establish cooperation with bitcoin on their project like when ethereum with windows azure. $2,000 is near.

Why not? It can happen but it need to surpass first $1,200 - $1,500. If it was able to reach $1,500.

Then our hopes for it is going to be possible enough and we are going to be closer on its border.



Hopefully he will because that is going to give his people assurance but I know how he talks or if he is going to say negative about it.

where's the demand to make it double, and more importantly, stay there? i can't see much hype on the horizon. maybe an etf might do that. something major would have to change.

Yes, I think bitcoin will cross the 2000$ barrier soon. But i mean by soon is that in 6-8 months and not more than year. I believe that the price will increase more and more because nowadays many people trust bitcoin and this community will grow more after few months so automatically the price will grow up too.

Calm your self. We just barely touched 1000$. Let us first see if bitcoin can hold that price. Honestly, I do not want it jumping to 2000$. I want it to slowly rise and reach that price. If it just surges to 2000$, chances are, people will just start dumping their bitcoins and bag their profit. Then bitcoin will be down again. Let us take this one step at a time. 1200 first, then 1400, 1600, 1800 then 2000. I do not care if it takes another year or 5 years as long as it is a generic growth, it is fine with me.

Based on graph trend, it's difficult to reach amount since bitcoin value already on stable position.
Even at the end of this year , I think the value still less than $ 2000 but it surely over $ 1000

Looking out the current bitcoin price, it's upfront and near to touch $1000 mark.Yes,hoping that bitcoin will reach our destination in a short while.We need some patience. Personally store all my bitcoin in my wallet with safety.

i think its too soon to say bitcoin going to 2,000 $ because we should break many number before its going to 2,000$ and if we take a look in the charts, we still need more time to get increase. its better to break one by one first then the price will make stable position and then the price is jump again. we see now the price is about 1,010 $ but in hour ago, the price is in above 1,021 $ so i think its the time for down trend  and we can hope that after down trend, the price will go up again.

What do you consider as "soon"? If it is until the end of this year, I think plausible ... I do not think demand will grow that much so to reach that value before that. There's no point in reaching 2k and it takes a dump to come back to the beginning. You'd better go up slowly and keep from climbing fast and going down at the same speed.

In my opinion all the prediction about the bitcoin are only worst because bitcoin price not depend upon prediction but it depends upon the demand in the market .
Usually we seen in the past that the increase and down of the price of bitcoin was only due to the increase in demand ( during brexit and demonetization of money in India ) and when the price goes down then the reason was to bitcoiner banned by the one country ( in the 2-3rs month of 2016 I think it was Russia ) .
So all prediction about the bitcoin price depend upon the future plan of big bitcoin buyers and sellers .
And in my opinion the the price of bitcoin in the incoming one to two year can't exceeds from 1500$

I dont think soo that we would able to reach $2000 price on a short period of time or even on this year.Its possible but it wont happen now for sure it would really need more adoption in able to reach that price.I dont know whats the reason behind on sudden price increase of bitcoin and now we are currently on 1k mark which is really good to see again.

Do not get excited, it is still far to get to $2000.  It is possible but not soon.  We need to break how many  hundred of dollars first before reaching $2000.  Do you see we need to double $1000 to reach the aimed price?  And FYI  it took Bitcoin how many years again to reach and retouch $1000?

Well, obviously it is too far when that happens. Let the rate cross the previous top mark.It is a good news for traders but we also need to think about the miners and about the issues like confirmation timings and segwit. I hope we will have a better future when it reaches $2000 mark.

Great Bitcoin has hit 4 figure, but I think we need SegWit to be activated to give it that fundamental backing to justify the price, I will like the price to be based on fundamental analysis than technical analysis which is more of speculations

I want to say that bitcoin is going to $2,000 too but it's hard to say that because it is really far from it. And it's better to be realistic even though I'm optimistic that bitcoin will keep on rising but as long as bitcoin is kinda far to the reality of $2,000 I'm not going to expect to happen instead I will going to lower the price that I'll expect.

I don't see bitcoin hitting $2,000 in the year 2017 but I believe it will reach new heights and then will remain at the levels of $1,000. We might see some price fluctuations in this year and then sustainable growth since the first quarter of 2018. We might see bitcoin reaching $2,000 before the year 2020 IMO.

this is not hard to happen mate. Because as of now are in $1000, so for sure that  value is not impossible.

I am also feeling the same. The price of bitcoin will definitely reach to $2000 soon in these days. I think that everyone have to buy now. I am also trying to buy as much as possible as if I will buy now then at that time I will double up my money. Those who were in waiting for the good time to buy bitcoins they have to buy now because now is the good time.

Still requires time and good conditions so that bitcoin prices could rise to $ 2,000. Prices will continue to fluctuate so prices are going to go up and down several times. But I believe bitcoin prices will reach $ 2,000 by the end of the year. If you want to buy bitcoin I think it is not a problem but the important thing is not to panic with bitcoin fluctuations.

I think it would just PUMP on $1400 and not $2000, well, I've just heard it to someone who's in the higher position here in this forum. But if it will PUMP to $2000, then it would be a great news to all of us here, mostly to those who have wait for a very long time just for this event, becuase they can earn big profit out of there bitcoin that's been in their wallet for years maybe. And letting this day pass without converting their bitcoin would be the craziest thing they could ever do in their lives.

Theres no clear sign that we are going to that amount. We havent hit the all time high yet. But theres still a possibility it can continously bubble and reach $2000. But chances are really small. For now, our target is to hit the all time high and create another all time high.

I think we all want's it to go there and we all wish to see it past 2000$,

I think it will happen. In my study, the demand is low if the supply is high or the demand is high if the supply is low. So now, the demand is very high so we need the supply to increase again to sustain the needs of bitcoin community. So that I think the price will increased upto $2000.

Yes the price is really going to increase faster and I have heard from one of my friend that maybe its price reach to $2000 in the month of March. I hope that it happen in that month. But we do not have to wait alone we also have to work for it to support it for longer we have to hold our bitcoin for longer period and if we will hold then the price will increase with increased demand.

Not too soon, but I've seen different studies pointing out that values above $ 2,000 can be reached this year, so even if such studies are not accurate, Bitcoin is likely to get close to that value. Anyway, I'm not sure if the price will continue in this range for long. This will depend on users, speculators and market conditions.

Other than increased demand, is there any other supporting factors explained by your friend ? Because, I am also hoping that bitcoin prices will reach $2000 levels, but predicting the time frame is too difficult without Government policies/regulations to support it.

I am very much sure we are going to see $2000 within 2017 but it may happen in any quarter of 2017. Only new investors will decide that. The big question what will bring new investors.

It have quite long distance we have to wait,just patient on yourself.I hardly believe it will come soon or later but don't have any idea the exact time.In present bitcoin price seems good and currently upfront.I think it seems safe to say  bitcoin price of $2,000 or more is likely the next few years it could only happen, bitcoin will go moon.

If $2000 is reached soon, then expect a heavy correction. It is best for bitcoin to gain price slowly as the rise will be sustainable. I think in the coming months we will see Trump taking strict decisions which will make investors all around the world nervous and this will get them into bitcoin which will raise the price of bitcoin. So hold on to bitcoin. $ 2000 is coming, it is just a matter of time.

In question there is said "why not" while there aren't written reasons about why it will happen.
Well, it will happen in years but not now in some weeks or months. There still excist ROI with not very high electricity cost and plus imagine what will cause this. No one is ready for that and exchangers will be in very bad situation but mining business will rise, this isn't normal huge changes in days but after 2-3 halving it will happen of course.

"THINK" - yes of course. Even above that because I "THINK" of it.

But realistically, that is possible since it has some basis to support that kind of speculation. Just expect that it will take time to progress and not just an instant one since to make it like instant, it needs tons of USD that will entered the bitcoin exchanges for that to happen. Also some price level below $2,000 may considered as sell rate so expect lots of pumps and dumps that will happen but in the end it can passed $2,000. Im not an expert though and it's just came from my own view.

I don't see bitcoin will rise up into $2000. I only predict bitcoin to reach $1500 because of huge barriers in trading. Dumpers won't let that happen, hence expect vitality anytime. Also, some big event in market like forex might affect bitcoin's market. No matter what it takes, let's just use/hold bitcoins.

With the current situation related to news, it will have a chance even if it's at least just reached near to such price, the trend will go rise, especially if it's pushed by new innovation from startup, because the investors nowadays prefer to such startup and with long term investment.

Well, this is possible that bitcoin may reach up to 2000$ soon. Because everyday bitcoin is increasing its demand, people tend to use bitcoin in their daily lives. We dont know what will happen but for sure it will reach soon. As day by day bitcoin is pumping its price or fluctuating its price. Lets watch and observe then.

yes we are also expecting that the price of bitcoin will cross the 2000 USD level very soon. the price of bitcoin has a great potential and the demand is increasing continuously because of the increasing interested of the people. people want to purchase bitcoin and then hod it for price to increase and secure good profit. and the reason that i am also not going to sell my bitcoin.

Now the market cap is 16b its not so easy to go to 30+ without more news and adoption. It will go eventually but we need some time, innovations etc

so long as there will be people using BTC, it going to moon up to $2000. why not make it $5000 sooner or later, we'd wanna see this happen when price reach up to 4000 already and it could go on an on. if price goes that high, it also possible to see how huge the altcoins marketcap could be. some of these altcoins aren't as high value as ETH and Monero but soon, it will be because of the people investing to it. adoption and merchants using it will help the greater value.

i believe bitcoin can going to $2000++ but in my opinion it will need around 1-2 years to make it happen. First step is bitcoin need masive adoption and have enough buy support around $1000++

I think the increase in demand is real, there would not be such a high trading volume if that was not true. However, I think it will take some time before we can see Bitcoin at that price. I think it is possible this year, but it would take at least something like six months for the price to rise steadily, without this happening with a quick pump.

Bitcoin is not a start up business for the investors to pump their money  :D The chances of reaching the price above $2000 is a possible scenario if it has to make sure it can with stand a price range above $1000 for a long time because whenever the price touches 1k there tend to be a massive sell off and lets see how the market goes for a month now and then we can determine how the coin will perform this year.

yes in fact after long journy and struggle now bitcoin is in position to have a good volume, people who are accepting bitcoin is increasing continuously and hope that this trend will also continue in future, which is also causing the increase in the price of bitcoin. therefore we can expect that the price of bitcoin will even cross 2000$ level very soon.

No one can predict the value of bitcoin but hopefully at the end of the year it will hit $2000... Better save some bitcoin we can never tell it may skyrocket anytime... Yes, may be can go higher than current price but also can go down more. If we have earning from signature campaign or others way without invest money why not to hold some for future? and if price go down we will not lose investment (because we get it without invest), but if price go up to $2000, we can get double .

Of course experts in economic and in trading can predict that, not that accurate but they do have basis whether the bitcoin will rise of decline.
Great decision bro, if you want to change your life especially financial aspect you have to sacrifice first even the small thing like instead of buying the things you want prioritize to have investment.

all things are very unexpected. bitcoin has a unique system so anything can happen. the current bitcoin prices continue to increase, albeit only slightly, but it is very significant for future developments. we shall always hope to get the best.

I  think that it is not imposibble for bitcoin to reach the $2000 margin but we dont know when will it be reached ! but will all certainty it will come to pass ! just like what happened a year ago when the price is almost $200 dollars it seems impossible to reach $1000 again but by just this year it hit the margin and I belive it will continue to rise until it hit its the $2000 margins

I think there is not any hard hurdles in bitcoin trading and anyone who want to buy bitcoin can buy easily and now it is not a newbie coin that a group of people will have the power to dump it it is now a normal currency and the price up and down of bitcoin is only depended on the demand of bitcoin if the demand of it will increase then the price of it will increase and nowadays everyone want to adopt bitcoin who hear about it.

i do agree that makes the bitcoin unique sort of it will dump but pump after that. We cant really predict the real price of bitcoin in that time because we dont know if we can get that price this your or next decade. Actually that is where bitcoins is going to be now that it already surpass the $1000 bracket It will continue to rise slowly but surely ! Yes it will have price drops but bitcoins already prove to us how many time it will rise again !! I think $2000 dollars is very feasible it could be achive by next year or so!

Well for my own analysis its impossible that the price could be touch in $2000 value since the price every year is gradually increasing i think we can touch around $1400-$1600 value this is more possibility that the price could be touch in this amount than $2k value..
unless if there is a big company are accepting bitcoin as payment... since i saw a one group of marketing out side that actually using bitcoin to and use also for their sales that accepting bitcoin as payment as alternative..
So for me don't expect that the price can hit that value..

Based on daily chart analysis we are likely to see roughly 6 months of range then a break of the $1150 giving us $1430 -$1490 target .
If the trend continues we would likely retest the previous high say $1490 range for 6 months  before a break to say $1780 ish ,retest previous high $1780, range  6 months then break to $2070 ish.
So based on the only evidence we possess which is current daily/weekly charts and not taking into account any fundamentals The earliest we can expect $2000 to be broke is 18 months.
That is based on the current trend .
Based of of the break of The 2013 high of $260 to $1163 we could see $4000 plus within 8 months but I wont be holding my breath for this event .
 

Few years ? We need to consider here the adoption rate of bitcoin for further price appreciation.

When bitcoin gains value, it will get free promotions among rest of people through media coverage. That promotions will trigger more so adoptions so that new investors will come into bitcoin to take it into huge price levels in very short period of time itself.

Bitcoin reaching 2000 USD this 2017 would be great. It's a very ambitious expectation but i'll be happy Bitcoin at least 1500 USD before 2017 ends.  ;)

I also go with $1500 at the end of 2017, some expert speculated that Bitcoin will reach $1500 this year.  $2000 is a bit high considering the current scalability of Bitcoin has not been solved yet.  And the one solution is not getting ground and is failing as other observer said since not much of the miner is signaling Segwit.

I don't really think it will happen, month ago bitcoin was near ATH, but then it fell down to 800$, so i actually don't think that bitcoin is ready to rise to 2000$, not yet, but if even more people will buy bitcoins, and use them, not only buy to sell later, then i am sure that with time bitcoin will be more stable, so slowly it should rise to 2000$ and even more in future

Many of the businesses are shifting now into bitcoin all around the world. Also big investors are getting themselves involve into bitcoin.

Im agree with it.That's prediction will happen in near future or in this year.But just dont forgot they're are some panic Bitcoin sellers that waiting for the time to dump again the Bitcoin like happen last time Bitcoin price decrease almost 10% of it.

It will do reach that amount no matter what but all bitcoins users dont really have an idea on when that time would happen.We do strongly believe on bitcoin and its potential in the future thats why we should see its progress and wait patiently for that time to come.

Definitely Bitcoin will reach $2000 but I think it wont happen this year, just as what I stated, fees are getting high, there is a spam attack of transaction in the network and there are lots of unconfirmed transaction in the network.  This will slow down adoption because, business needs faster transaction. And as long as this problem is not solved, adoption will be slow for Bitcoin.

Totally agree with you sir. Because of that traffic of transactions many of traders or business man are not going to meet their satisfaction with fast transaction so the demand I think will go down so maybe at next year the issue will be resolved so the bitcoin price will pump again and maybe surpass our expected price the 2000$ but If that will happen I hope I invest and have a large amount of bitcoin. I am happy to have that quantity of bitcoin so let's hope for the best.

Quite the opposite, I think that $2000 is not far from being there I mean the bitcoin has never ceased to surprise me whenever we think that the price has dropped down and it is going to stay that it rises up again not given us a chance to recover and increase the amount that we have, so now when it is on his way to $2000 we should buy.

Yeah I think 1500 is plausible quite soon, but 2000 will not be a significant number, as we should zoom past that fast.  I'm hoping for a huge ramp up maybe next autumn as demand outstrips supply hopefully.  In any case, fast forward 10 years and if bitcoin is still relevant, demand should be quite huge, and supply even more limited.  It seems bitcoin is engineered to go higher in price with stable adoption.  So bitcoin in 2027 could be worth 40 000$, probably more.  Gotto think longer term with this one, there is too much short term noise.

Bitcoin is totally not going to hit $2000 anytime soon, nor do I think bitcoin will ever hit that number at all. I think bitcoin will probably have it's high (not all time) at around $1100 and bitcoin should and hopefully will stick around that price.

I say hopefully based on the fact that bitcoin needs to stable out for mass adoption, it's really the only way.

I think this target is not far away in 2017 but it will not last for long if bitcoin hit 2000 usd withing 2017 many traders will play a huger game to cash out a quick profit which lead to price reduce . but for sure in 2020 1 BTC = 2000 will be normal . 

I think this topic must be in Speculation, but hitting a 2000$ bitcoin price is not really that far enough. It will be years of patiently waiting, it is hitting a 1000$ this year and I think it will be still years to reach the 2000$ mark. Though everyone knows that it will be a good price and it will be a good information or news to all bitcoin users.

it depends on what you have in mind when you say "soon". if you mean in a week, a month,... then no way unless we see another willibot of mtgox and all the other exchanges close down so one exchange can manipulate price.

but if by "soon" you have some longer time such as a year or a year and a half in mind then yes it is possible, and most speculations can point to that too.

Bitcoin current market cap is 16 Billion,so there is high possibilities to reach $2k within this year.
IMO, Definitely Bitcoin will reach $2000 by the end of this year.

Bitcoin will only be reaching the $2000 mark if external forces like PBoC(s) next actions do not negatively affect it with these proposed 'capital controls' in the name of reducing volatility.

The expectation is very high, but it may be possible if we wait for a long time. We are still beginning of this year there is a long way to go. I don't have that much patience to wait for big profit. Offcourse if it's 2k it's double profit. But there is no guarantee in Bitcoin price. There is a possibility are there to go down in BTC price anything can happen what you say, guys.

We just see the effects of bitcoin value now, we shall wait what will happen on bitcoin value, we cannot predict the future of bitcoins. Another reason for the waiting for the future of bitcoin is what will be the future of our paper money will be? We shall see what will th future for us?

Even 1700$ is rare to happened because bitcoin current price is at peak and very prone on dumping. I think this speculation might happened on final quarter of the year.there are so many hype speculations nowadays. I don't know if this is a move of bitcoin baggers or not. Hahaha. Always think smart.

Whales just need the price high enough for dumping. forget the speculations, That's all there is. But There's still a possibility of bitcoin going higher than The peak of —$1105. Even If the price is supposed to reach $2000, It wouldn't because There will be more dumps than pumps then.

I just think for this to be a proper speculative asset a couple things need to happen....first lay the groundwork for mass adoption as we are doing now...then when all that is ready people will accumulate...as they are doing now...then reduce the supply, increase the demand...and one big external shock later (financial crisis - Last one was 8-9 years ago, so we are due for another within another 5-6 years probably, if not sooner statistically speaking) - then bitcoin will shoot up proper.  I believe we have what it takes to be a great tulip mania, with bitcoin worth trillions of dollars.  It will be worth ri-di-cu-lous amounts of money, which of course, will turn out to be vapor and smoke.  But what a ride it will be boys.  So yeah, prepare for dumping, and see-saw patterns.  Maybe we go up to 1700, then dump back down to 800.  But one day.  One day we are going to the moon ヽ༼◕ل͜◕༽ﾉ

Yeah agree it, bitcoin will be sky rocket one day. As of there huge speculations about bitcoin value. These bump are happened first due to halving and then Christmas bump take to 1100$ and then dumped for a month and then recently again it pulls back to 1000$ are more. I do know how to understand this price bump. However, expecting good peak value in future months also in this year.

bitcoin is very likely to have a high price and the current price is heading to $ 2,000, and many people expect it to happen, I referred. but, may issue transaction, will make bitcoin prices stable in a long time, until the bitcoin transaction back to normal. when it returned to normal, I think bitcoin prices will go up quickly.

Before it hits the 2000 dollars per 1 BTC, it should pass the ATH first but I am looking forward too to make it happen maybe within this year, the rising of price will continue. We can't control the flow so expect the unexpected but don't expect too much.

In this time bitcoin has the strong immune to prevent the negative effect will have made by the PBOC's action.

Reasonable, bitcoin currently looks very good, just in a week already up $100. If this trend continues, then I'm sure the price of $2.000 will be reached before september this year.

$2000 is not impossible to happen since the value of bitcoin is totally increasing good and much more to wait for this year since we are increasing the volume of users that affect too much the demand of it that causes the increase of its value. Having $100 per week will gonna make people reach especially those who really invested their money on bitcoin, those big whales out here. Anyway, we hope that this value will not anymore decrease like what happened before, we reached thousands yet it crashed down because of those who panic selling their coins because of the increase.

I still doubt that how long it will even stay on 1000$ ; but seeing current market price which is about to hit 1100$ , i have hope that it may reach 1500 soon within next month or two or may be fall down to 500 or 600 .

At this point we can't ignore the fact that the block size must be increased to enable Bitcoin to grow further. As long as that isn't the case, then it's obvious to me that we won't come anywhere near $2000 this year.

Rate of bitcoins demands is increasing for sure, but problem is that when more people buys and rises price, more people stars selling their bitcoins, which means that price won't rise by one thousand in a week. Huge bitcoin price rises needs a lot of time.

Bitcoin is quite stable at the moment, so i actually don't think that price will somehow rise to $2000 from $1000, but in month, this will be possible.

At some point Bitcoin will reach this value, we just do not know at what moment, the market is very unstable, mainly because of the Chinese regulations, when everything is resolved we can see it rising until reaching that level.

We have experienced that price goes higher at the end of the year so may be $2k price can be achieved in the end of the year 2017 and if it reaches there before that then it would be the best price level to witness but it won't be easy to touch that price so quickly and we need to wait for a long time to see that price.

I agree with your speculation. Drama on the scaling and blocksize issue is not over yet so whales would took advantage of this news and maybe anytime would go for the pump on altcoins. Although we hate whales doing this, we can do anything about it at long. You can't use the word soon for now as the time you started this post many drops have occurred. Reaching 2k was possible by end of 2017 but now i don't think we will see bitcoin reach 2k by this year. If there is a slight chance it will fall as people will start selling their coin. Bitcoin has slight possibility to reach 2K as long as miners and blockchain cannot afford all of those flood transactions​ faster within 10 minutes. For now, the barrier set on $1300 and every time we reach $12xx then it would be drop back again such as recently happened.

That looks to be an realistic prediction. $2000 is something big to be achieved with common activities or through the regulated acceptance. It happens when some special authorization is provided similar to etf or something an update in the technology. In my view this could happen only when the next halving takes place.

Perhaps even till next year, or the year after that, because literally nothing indicates that Segwit in current form will reach 95%, ever. And yes, if we had larger blocks already, we would be sitting at levels far higher than the current ones. But the reality is that we don't have these larger blocks, and thus we keep sitting in this annoying situation.

I don't see bitcoin touching $2000 by next month since it is too soon for it to reach that price ranges and I  know even before it gets near to that point maybe before it even getd near $1500 many will take profit and dump their coins causing bitcoin to move down again and because of this I don't see bitcoin touching $2000 soon.

it could happen, because in bitcoin anything can happen so quickly. but see my progress a little optimistic to achieve 2000USD. rationally bitcoin will be in the range of the price of 1300USD - 1500 USD in the months ahead, it's a bit irrational.

Slowly but surely, I guess we will be hitting that price soon. $2,000 is not impossible because we have already hit the ATH, I like how people hype enough to see that price, that would only prove that we are very optimistic about more success of bitcoin and that is good for the entire economy.

Bitcoin won't get to $2000 yet.  It needs confidence from investors that it's not so volatile they can't handle the pressure.  When it stabilises a tad, which I think it's starting to do even just for a few weeks, that's when the price will start going up there.

However imo we won't see that price as long as the scaling issue isn't solved.
And we are still far away from a consensus. So prepare for at least another year of the camps fighting each other.
That's why I believe 1500$ will probably the peak for this year and I hope we won't go down south into the 800s again.But with the right amount of FUD coming around the corner you always have to be prepared for something like that.

Yes, this is the most likely maximum price this year. Bitcoin is good, but it can not so quickly rise in price.

All depend of what is your sense of "soon". For me soon is in the comoing three months, so of course no. But if your sense of soon is more in one or two year, yes, you are probably right. I think that by Christmas 2018 we could be at that price, but anything before this date, with a few months tolerance, you see what I mean, seems under 2000$. Especially all the this year, where we might top up at 1500$, but definitely not more.

As quoted the next peak increase will be towards $1500. Based on the time required to cross the price barrier we can predict the time it takes to reach $2000. It's simply big to reach if we doesn't have a conclusion on the technology update which has been going on for a long.

If you looking for short term price bump, you could know it may happen but sustain for long time. Its due to price volatility of bitcoin. However, if you check price chart for long time, then you could understand that we already been in good price now.

That depends on what you mean by soon, do you mean in a few months? At the end of the year? Or you mean in a few years? Depending on that the chances of bitcoin reaching that amount may get higher or lower.
