Title: why does verification with Bitstamp take so long
Post by: steppinup on February 03, 2017, 12:35:58 AM
You give them all this documentation, pictures of drivers license, utility bill, great credit rating, spotless criminal record, substantial net worth,
30 years investing experience working with institutions.
2 weeks.
what are they doing?

Ask them directly. It is pretty much pointless to do it here. Every case of verification is different, your documents are being processes or... they messed something up.
But I agree, 2 weeks are too long to process a single verification request. From my experience, I know it usually takes 3 work days max.

I searched and found multiple threads and reddit posts where It stated that the verification could be done in a few hours or a maximum a few days. I definitely recommend contacting them at this point , they probably missed it somehow or you provided unclear informations .

Thank you both.  I waited 2 weeks with Circle. Then they decided to effectively shut down exchange business.

Bitstamp toldme that I had never submitted verification form after they had responded theat verification was pending?

I resubmitted and they have confirmed receipt,so hopefully I will get approved soon.
