Title: please help, time sensitive unconfirmed transaction
Post by: noobInvesting on February 03, 2017, 08:25:11 AM
hello, i'm new to this and i just sent a time sensitive transaction of a fairly sizable amount of btc. for the amount, i hit the max button and assumed that the btc remaining would cover mining. I received an error message saying low fee and is showing no confirmations. i didn't realize the fee could be changed.

please help i don't know how to correct this and i don't want to lose the btc.

transaction ID:

if you're reading this, you're my last hope. I tried a BTC transaction accelerator and it said low fee and wouldn't work. I'm not sure what else i can do.

No worries, your BTC won't be lost even the transcation not go through as the money will return to the 3 wallets if it is unconfirmed (~2 days as I rmb)

so basically sit back and hv a coffee, as what you can do is wait,
or you can pay to speed up the transcation, you can find the way in forum.

You have a few options. You can wait and hope it confirms, wait and hope the network forgets about it and resend, double spend it with a transaction that pays a higher fee (RBF), or ask a miner to confirm it for you.

For the third option, we need to know what wallet software you are using.

For the fourth option, you can contact the users Quickseller (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=358020) and macbook-air. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=16114)

Gosh, the fee on that is pretty low people are really going to have to learn to up the fees because of the congestion in the bitcoin network.

Though, you could attempt to run it through a service such as VIABTC but I'm unsure if it is too low even for them.

Which wallet are you using? As that may change if it will allow you to double spend just to be able to use the portion of the money that is stuck in the network.

Since most don't read in here, since many don't use bitcointalk at all, maybe it would be a good idea the wallets would incorporate info about how busy the network is, warn if the fee is small, so the users get this info.
Then this problem would not get newbies every other day asking about it over and over again...
