Post by: TheOneDreamer on February 03, 2017, 02:42:46 PM
Hello Sleepwalkers,
I seem to have created quite mess of wallets amongst random accounts on oh so many websites.
What does bitcointalk use to keep all of their CryptoCurrency information organized and in clarity?

A password manager and an Excel spreadsheet.

Could go ahead and use something like Google Sheets, which is kind of like excel but you can view it from anywhere on your phone or computer. It's neat but takes some time taking use to if you're already a user of Excel.

I'm also in the same boat when it comes to having way to many address and such so I would just use a service such as BitGo which allows someone to send bitcoins to any of the address and it will still end up in your main BitGo account. Pretty neat and I think it's free, correct me if I'm wrong on that.

What is the need of a clod services for storing sensitive information.
Managing many wallets is not a big deal from managing many email accounts. My suggestions would be managing in a proper and in convenient way but never trust any third party services/software for that.

With BitGo I don't think it's an issue to go ahead and make address which you can label? I don't personally use it anymore but it was good when I had been using it. Also, I probably wouldn't trust using google sheets for something like that but I guess if you're only putting address info and a couple other words you should be fine.

I recommend to use various options, having your encrypted keys and passphrase saved in online storage but also on your local PC.
For additional safety you can print your private keys and passwords out, laminate it and keep it at a secured spot.
