so i dont want to be a millionaire, its just for fun that i would like to try this out. Maybe even donate CPU / GPU to BOINC projects as well in the future. Im definitely not a rich person , but i would like to get a GPU to start mining and understanding learning. I currently have a GTX650 , but i was considering getting a decent Radeon instead of nVidia. So i was thinking to get a RX 460 card ? is this silly or should i just get a better card like a RX 480. I see for the RX 480 there is a 4gb version and a 8 gb version, is there much of a muchness? Powercolor AXRX 480 4GBD5-3DHD Radeon RX 480 Red Dragon 4GB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 Desktop Graphics Card versus PowerColor Axrx 480 8gbd5-3dh Radeon Rx 480 Red Devil 8GB 256bit Gddr5 Pci-e 3.0 Desktop Graphics Card Unsure if the rest of my system is important in terms of specification, but i have just come from the world of Socket 462 AMD Athlon 2500+; AGP 7800 ; and DDR1 ram , so this is completely new to me. Otherwise, price difference does not justify performance upgrade i think the differences of the price between RX 470 and RX 480 is not too much and i will suggest you to buy RX 480. if you vga cards have more than one slots and if you have more budget then you can buy one or more so you can have more than enough of hashrate to starting mining. Prices between that two cards vary based on country. I know that there are some countries where price between RX 470 and RX 480 is greater than 100$ . That is the reason why I wrote what I wrote... |
