it has been over 2 days that bitcoin has passed the $1000 mark, you are too late to the party and view sharing :)

and besides this rise was long overdue, i said this when we were heading back down to 800-900 the first time, i said it will come back up soon.

Well i think this $1000 level will not stay for too long.. if many people are satisfied with this price i think they will sell their bitcoin to get profit and to safely save their profit and wait again for low price again.. this is just a bubble i think its normal price  pump sooner or later we will see the price will return into 900 level..

I think this time it will be difficult to happen another crash similar to what happened a few weeks ago, but it's necessary to be attentive to the news, since whenever Bitcoin is going up in value, rumors and news related to governments trying to interfere in the progress of Bitcoin appear, especially with regard to the Chinese government.

most of the times bitcoin price is like a spring that is forcefully pressed down and kept down. and as soon as you let go of it by removing that preventing force the spring, springs up :)

price was kept down at 910-920 range for a while but they let it go and surely enough the demand which has always been there pushed it up to above $1000 and this time it has a much better chance of staying above it.

btc-e still is resisting and is at $990 right now.

Now price could go either way, but float around $1000 is something that makes me kinda nervous

Bitcoin will stay on $ 999 ~ 1000 + at the moment based on trend as we can see , last bubbling made interest some investor for bitcoin.
IMO this moment, is hold for sure and wait if you want to purchase more bits

btc-e is always behind, whenever there is a rise and you check btc-e price it is at least $20 and sometimes even $50 behind of other places and it takes a lot of time to get even.

and to this day i have not found out why! although i have asked around and never got any good answers.

so if anyone has any good hypothesis let me know.

PBOC fud was the real reason behind the dump few weeks back from 1200$+
PBOC investigation is still going on and due to which now chinese trading platform have standard 0.2% fee on trading so whales/exchange themselves can't just pump volume and make fake orders so price is not pumping like before.

Current $1000+ price seems to be result of constant buy pressure from new comers as well as whales were also accumulating cheaper coins silently.

in my opinion PBOC and in general China never was and never will be the reason for a rise or a drop. it is how the community uses the different news in the circles. for example if they keep on saying China is controlling bitcoin and is going to dump there will be panic and when they stop bullshitting price goes up. the only thins is that they can not keep the FUD up forever.

Yes, we are back to 1000$  and above. I think this doesn't have to be just temporary pump, there are conditions on the market for the price to keep that level for a while, with more or less occasional smaller dumps. And current price isn't so much related to China.

I saw that tomorrow morning when I turned the computer on. I think we will never fall under 1000$ violently as for now, because when a pump last long enough, people get accustomed to it and if the price drops they buy since they think that this is a great opportunity. This is what happened here, as November 2015's pump that led us to above 400$ prices, or the halving pump to 700$.

I think this time there wasn't so much panic based on the fall of bitcoin as previous times. People have more trust in bitcoin and confidence. I even didn't see any topic here about some panic selling or that bitcoin is a bubble which is just popped.

That was short, we only needed to wait a few weeks before seeing this price again, it seems bitcoin is gaining momentum, soon bitcoin will never go below the 1000 mark ever again, now the thing we need to wait for is for bitcoin to surpass the biggest price it has ever reached.

I'm totally fine with the pop back up--it's not like I shorted bitcoin or anything, which I know some people are doing (crazy asses).  I'm just hoping this isn't another P&D where we immediately fall back to $750.  It'd be nice to see some sustainable growth.  It'd be nice, also, to see $2000.

Bitcoin is gaining momentum, soon we might get a stabilized price that never falls back beyond certain limits. I don't think this time the price reaches the all time peak price. It happens in relation to some specific incident to sustain long than it happening due to the stable growth.

The majority of the people are here only for the profits, so yes, they won't hesitate to cash out profits where they can. Current price increase happens a bit quicker than I would like as I prefer a stable growth that is more sustainable in the long term, but I don't consider this to be a pump at all. That however doesn't mean we won't fall back to lower levels again. I don't rule out a $900-$950 visit again in the coming weeks as I can't see the buy support hold the price above $1000 for too long.

Well if it is true the current price of Bitcoin has reached 1000 dollars even more . during the last few weeks has reached 1100 dollars and then down again to 800 dollars this is a very good moment that bitcoin touch 1000 again especially for me . And if I look at the demand and supply at the current, Bitcoin price of 1000 dollars will rise a few percent more.

Over $1k is a price that we knew would come back. Will we break the $2k this year? That's another question. Bitcoin is here to stay and if it can work on improving the ideological split that has unfortunately evolved over the course of its lifespan, its infrastructure will become stronger. Bitcoin has to evolve.

it was 1000 in the recent months, but that was not as sustainable as of now.
probably starting from this time span, there are no surprise of dumping after a pump, where dump, if it becomes sustainable, is a support of price increase.

Whether it hits $2k or not, people will be happy with the price run up over the past few months. This has happened in spite of negative news like the PBOC inspections, Bitfinex hacks, etc during the recent past. So looks like we are over $1000 for good now.  :)

I think that PBOC intervention which destroyed margin trading in China created more stable market. Maybe $1000 is our new floor and become solid resistance level?
Serious bullish trend formed, with this kind of support $1000 is not the end of the road, we may see $1100 soon.

the price movement was stable and there was no significant surge. we have started a new era with entering 1000USD.
This should continue to survive and continue to grow in order to improve bitcoin prices in the future.

I also think price is growing more naturally now rather than quick dump/pump due to fake trading volume and free trading in chinese exchanger before. $1000 looks strong new floor for next pump rally  ;)

That is really expected since bitcoin price tremendously increase continously after passing to $500 last 2015. And it earns more strong foundation when we recently breached it again for the first time since the ATH period. And because the price decrease after that rally only landed at around $700, we have really reasons to speculate that the price will back again at that rate since $700 is a good standpoint for buying again another coins.

Bitcoin price, even will experienced lots of dumps, is heading only one dominant journey and that is to increase it's dollar value as time passes by.

Part of the price drop can be attributed to this event, but I think the effect of the FUD related to this event was not so intense, I believe there are other factors which had a greater effect on the price. I think the problem was that Bitcoin had gone up in value very fast in the first weeks of the year, that made some people think there was a bubble effect on the scene.

The good market flow is just stating that bitcoin is in a good and stability nowadays and in the coming months. Yes no fake trading volume because of Chinese exchanger who distracted the market. And we have proven enough that bitcoin is continuing its good start ahead meaning that the demand is increasing continuously.

i am glad i can see the price hit $1000 again and this is happen in the 2 days ago until now, but the price is in good condition in the market so we can see that the price is getting down and up too often and i think we can make a good profit in trading bitcoin pair fiat. i hope that the price is not going to down but stable in $1000 and it will trigger altcoin to increse their price too.

This time, the price of bitcoin really back at a price of $ 1000, and can safely say that this is a good thing. maybe for some people who are late to sell his bitcoin in January ago, is now happy, because they miss the opportunity that has come back again.

nothing has been stable ever sine the PBOC thing happened in China. price wend down and become very volatile in the first couple of days and after becoming stable at 910-920 range it went up to $1010 in a very short time. which was about a 10% rise and depending on how long it took to get there i wouldn't call it stable market.

the thing that i believe is that nothing has changed. and bitcoin will continue to go up like before. China fake volume is now removed and nothing else :D

Volatility will always remain, nothing can change that. However, it's the intensity of the volatility that should go down in the coming years. It definitely won't be a fast process, it takes time. Difference now PBOC has taken actions against Chinese exchanges is that people can no longer make use of the popular margin platform, and thus the exchange is forced to enable fees for their regular trading platform. Every massive pump or dump will now cost these people a considerable amount of money. These pump dumpers will think twice before recklessly making the price sink to far lower levels. Eventually the difference should be noticed. Give it some time.

As a bitcoiners this success story glad me.You guys must be remembered that at the first week of january bitcoin price also cross 1000$ mark but unfortunately for only a short a while.Again it cross 1000$ mark,hope this time stable for a long duration though nothing has been stable this marketplace.Doubt anytime it can be dumped regular price.

Most of us here predicted fast return on 1000 dollars price. It was just a question of time and this is not a surprise. More important now is can we stay here, or we can expect new dump. In both case's this year started good for bitcoin, and generally I think this will be a good year for btc and for us.

Well seems Bitcoin is showing that its new temporary floor is $1000+ this past days.  There is no indication of massive dump yet, and the market buy support seems steady.  I wonder if this temporary floor will be the basin of the next uptrend of price, I hope so but unexpected thing may happen.  I just hope the unexpected is Bitcoin breaking 2k wall not Bitcoin going back to sub $800 price.

$1000 is looking like a nice new floor indeed. I hope we can maintain an entire month of $1000+ price, that would definitely consolidate bitcoin as a 4 figure asset and then everytime we go back to 3 figures it will keep getting quickly bought up back to 4 figures. At the end of the day it was good news the chinese PBOC stuff happened.

I think speculators are hoping that the SEC approves the Winklevoss ETF. If it happens bitcoin will soar. If they decline, we might fall back to about $800.

Bitcoin price reached 1000 $ couple of days ago. Its normal to grow up the value like this. But this might not stand for very long time. I think it will reach in three digit soon because the past statics shows us price bump is normal in bitcoin. So we have to wait for some more time to understand the situation. I hope it wont fall again.

now we are returning back to 1150 and after that hopefully to the historical high level of bitcoin. and even then the price of bitcoin is not going to stop. it will cross 1500 and then 2000 in the end of 2017. we are also helpful that we are not going to experience any panic selling. because people are now mature and they are not going to sell their bitcoin in panic selling.

And thats what im worrying about. If they decline bitcoin will fall instantly ,just pray that sec will approve etf. If that happens prepare yourself for another ride into the moon.

Why should they decline? Legislation change issued a move away from stricter regulations. This should break a pathway for the more adventurous FinTech where Bitcoin still is located at.

Yeah it was said that the approval of Winklevoss ETF will get fresh investors and there is hundreds of million of dollars will enter Bitcoin economy, this might be the reason why several people are buying Bitcoin now for the hopes that the ETF will be approved and Bitcoin price skyrocketed. 

Good news, I'm happy with the price increase bitcoin, I have bought 2.5 btc while it costs $900. It seems like the year 2017 will be a good year, I'm not going to be selling bitcoin on this year, and will continue to collect the bitcoin.

I wonder why would they invest in BTC at this point when they have mony and power to cause BTC fall, and then to buy up cheaper. Than they can pump it how ever they want. Isn't it this world cruel?
WIth serious investors regulations will come also, i hope we won't see shady exchanges at least.

Yesterday Bitcoin price crashed because chinese exchanges OkCoin & Huobi paused withdrawal and it was nearly 900$. Now it is 1000$ again and it seems price is really stable nowdays because mostly bitoin was playing between 600-700, than it suddenly rised and was 900, than reached 1000 with stable, yesterday that paused withdrawal caused small crash and now it's 1000. So to my mind bitcoin won't be under 900$, it won't fall and will only grow in future as we have upcoming halvings and people's interest grow.

I those two exchanges understood how to make big money : accumulate, create panic, buy as much as you can, open back.

People are speculating that Chinese regulations will either make the price go up or down which makes the swings a lot more wild than they would be if say the meetings were completely private. There are no 'inside trader's in bitcoin so any news is fair game!

Though they had a private meeting, there is nothing to do with the bitcoin price these days. The price swings is taking place periodically for a long time interval. During this the price is expected to be stable above $1000 for a longer time than the previous price pumps.

Currently price of bitcoin dropped to $980, I don't thought when prices almost reached $1.100 instead back down again. With these facts, again reminding us that prices are very volatile and not bitcoin can be stored in a long period of time. Buy and sell better when the lucrative.

Well, the current price of bitcoin really is at the price of $ 1000, but the price at the moment I think it is very difficult to say that the price of bitcoin really back at the price of $ 1,000. it may be because when the price of bitcoin down a little, the price will immediately be at $ 990. I would not be that worried. Most people do not know what is an ETF (as me) I just know that it is something related to financial world. But seeing rejected (most probable option for me) will maybe depreciate the price a bit.

Seems to be sustaining at this price too. This will be the new support and it seems the resistance isn't too much above it. I could see bitcoin coasting at this price for a while but it's a toss of a coin whether or not it will decline or increase slightly. I think it will be some time before we see either one of those things happen.
