Title: Should I buy MOON?
Post by: sixtus.leon on February 05, 2017, 08:00:10 AM
I just saw the thread about MOON and that there are restarting this old coin with a new dev and there is no premining no ICO
Why is this coin so extremely cheap?
Looks like an solid coin.
Should i invest like 10€?

It is on bleutrade and I think I have to deposit bitcoin than exchange to doge and than buy some MOON.

Do not pick up any random coin and put your money.
Check what is it that make the coin different from existing coins and who are the people behind, and what purpose does it serve.
Usually if a newbie ask question about some popular coin,it is understood but asking question about some lesser coin make be dubious as if it an attempt by promotors to create a false hype.

when a coin is extremely cheap, it means it is dead and not worth investing in it anymore.
and i am talking about a very low price, a price that is even lower than 1 satoshi. when that limit is broken the coin is officially dead in my opinion and nothing can bring it back.

You don't know why this coin is extremely cheap? Here is from MOON's dev
Warning:
if you are new to Mooncoin, you have to know this fact:
some people are interested in dumping MOON.
They buy MOON at sub-satoshi markets e.g. for 0.13 Sat to sell at 1 Sat.
They are not interested in quick listing of MOON at big exchanges, because the lowest price which possible technically at these exchange is 1 Sat,
so they will not be able to buy it any longer for 0.13 Sat.
They are buying MOON from poor miners step-by-step (only 800-900 million are mined each month currently, oh so many you will say, no, it's only about $1000
and since March, 2017 there will be only ~500 million) miners sell/dump blindly for 0.13 Sat
and buyers keep in mind that they will be able to sell it for 1 Sat.
They consider it as a sure strategy, and it explains why they are interested in dumping and stagnation at the moment.
Miners just mine and dump, they don't realize there will be reward halving in March and other good news.
Mining is labor, don't sell your labor cheap! Do your research, don't be cheated.

I taught first to mine this one again, but they assured me that is not for gpus anymore. It is possible that they bring more attention to this project and rise can be very nice, considering price of 1 sat, everything above is great, yes this can be called good opportunity.

the dev is full of it :D
nobody is doing it, and it is not even possible to do what he is describing needs an open "buy" order at 1 satoshi but there are none. and there is already a huge "sell" wall at 1 satoshi which means if you buy moon at lower price and try to sell at 1 satoshi in bitcoin market you will end up going behind that huge sell wall in the queue!
and besides nobody is buying through that sell wall of 1 satoshi. you can check the volume, it is always too low and if there is anything there, that volume is someone selling the mining reward for 0.13 satoshi on doge market.

You should check whats real life problem it could solve, whos people behind it and its market. Otherwise you will be trapped by pump and dump cycle. Just invest on something that have 'bright future'. And do not forget to research first!  :)

You already missed the train, Moon is a very old coin, and if im not wrong the highest price was 20 sats. I remember making a very nice profit out of it, but now is dead and you should avoid it. But if you like gamble theres a lot of most promising alts to put some money in, like QORA, NOBL or DOGE at Poloniex.

as a rule of thumb when you no longer see an altcoin on major exchanges such as poloniex and bittrex, that means that coin is not a good coin. and when the coin was on one of these exchanges and got de-listed that means it once was decent but couldn't keep it up and died fast.

the question is why would you even want to invest in something like that?

i think you need to buy another coin than to buy moon, because there is many option to buy altcoin and you know that. sometimes you need to make your analysis and then you can decide what coins to buy. in this case, i suggest you to take a look into other coins and use your analysis to buy, but the choice its up to you.
