Title: Delay to have the 1st confirmation
Post by: BitLover001 on February 06, 2017, 08:29:25 AM
Hello all,

Am I alone to have so huge delay to receive the first confirmation.

I send some bitcoins yesterday evening and it took almost 2 hours to have the 1st confirmation.

Today morning I send again some bitcoin and I'm waiting now the 1st confirmation since 2 hours.

For both transfer I used the fees proposed by the bitcoin core wallet so I don't think it is a problem of too small fees.

Do you have similar delays?

Thank.

Can you please post the transaction ids of your transactions?

Bitcoin Core (stupidly) defaults the recommended fee to "within 25 blocks". This behavior has been changed for the next release, but it means that your transaction probably has too low of a fee to be confirmed a couple of blocks.

If these still haven't confirmed, you could try this bitcoin transaction accelerator: https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/.

If that doesn't work (you don't meet the criteria needed for the transaction to be confirmed), you can either raise the fee or contact a member such as quickseller to add the transaction to his mined blocks in order for it to confirm.
