Title: I love Bitcoin, How does Bitcoin make you feel?
Post by: jdbtracker on April 16, 2013, 03:58:25 PM
I have studied, researched Bitcoin for a long, long time. I'm in love with the idea and get excited just seeing the effects that it is creating within the economics community, many are watching Bitcoin, seeing theories dashed or exalted by the mere fact that people are using it.

The ideas and concepts that are being discussed used to be talked about only by professional economists, programmers, politicians, business leaders, activists; Bitcoin is causing the general public that comes in contact with it, to question value, economics, currencies, technology, science, politics, law, and a myriad other subjects, in effect it could very well be drawing in a massive reservoir of knowledge comparable to the push for science & engineering in the 1950s.

This is very exciting for me.

Yep, Bitcoin may well be starting a new renaissance, I'm looking forward to it, instead of the church this time everyone will be fighting central bankers.

Yes!  Yes!  That's how I felt when I first read about Bitcoin!

I love Bitcoin, too!

Bitcoin is inherently shiny, at least to the right kind of geeks, and that is what gives it intrinsic value so that it can become money. :)

I think a wise guy once said "the love of money is the root of all evil" .... but yes it is a fascinating, yet powerful force (like splitting atoms).

Bitcoin, monetary Anti-matter.

Cautious optimism? Frightful fascination?

That's a biblical reference, actually. It's a(n incorrect) paraphrase of something Paul said. A more accurate reference would be, "The love of money is the cause of all kinds of evil." It was not a condemnation of wealth, let that be clear.

Lol, and what is the root of money?

The difficulty in carrying a cow and three chickens, and determining how many ducks you get back when you trade that cow in for wheat.

Money is an advanced form of barter. The root of money is barter. Barter stems from the desire to acquire things that we want/need in exchange for things we have that we don't want/need as much.

To love a thing is to know and love its nature. To love Bitcoin is to know and love the fact that Bitcoin is the creation of the best power within you, and your passkey to trade your effort for the effort of the best among men. It’s the person who would sell his soul for a millibit, who is loudest in proclaiming his hatred of Bitcoin and he has good reason to hate it. The lovers of Bitcoin are willing to work for it. They know they are able to deserve it.

Good find.

Money is a cool and fun thing.  I can go down to the beach and I don't have to lug stuff with me to trade for a parking spot and burgers.

Bankers could, in a sense, be the root of current and future evil.  And that's where they are shills and slaves to a rotten economic system that's artificially keeping rates near zero, thus stealing from savers so that said government can spend without immediate consequences.
