Title: Would this be a good way to keep GPU temps down? Post by: Shaban on April 16, 2013, 04:38:46 PM I just finished building 2 mining rigs with 3 7950's in each rig. I have 12 fans in the case and it's not enough, GPU temps still reach 100* so I turned them off.
I have them sitting in a fairly small room, if I get a window air-condition unit and leave it running in the room would that be a good way to keep them cool, or are there better ways? I can get the air-conditioner for about $20 so that wouldn't be a problem. Title: Re: Would this be a good way to keep GPU temps down? Post by: jmfg187 on April 16, 2013, 05:21:42 PM My HAF 922 has 3 6970s and they all run around 80 - 85C. I think it is because I have a 200mm fan blowing air in the side of the case, basically right on the cards and then I have a 200mm fan that exhausts the hot air out of the top of the case. Maybe you could modify your case to put some 200mm fans in? Hope this helps.

Some other guy tried this and it basically didn't work because he ended up needing truck engine radiator to dissipate the heat that built up in the oil. If yes then I really don't need more than that, maybe eventually I'll switch to a water cooled set up
