Title: Testnet Mining Post by: TObject on April 16, 2013, 09:38:27 PM Hello, a question from a newbie.
I have setup a couple of computers with GPUs to mine Bitcoins on testnet. I am getting over 300 Mhash/s combined rate. If my calculations are correct at the current testnet difficulty below 43, I should be getting over 35 hundred testnet Bitcons a day; I am getting nothing. Do I understand the difficulty correctly? Could somebody please check my math? How long does it normally take to mine testnent Bitcoins? Perhaps something is wrong with my setup, though I get no errors. The following thread indicates that solo mining has been broken in the bitcoin client after version 0.3.21. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3878.0 Is this information still current? 0.3.21 sounds like an awfully old version to use.
