To mod you need Windows OS Polaros bios editor 1.4.1 Atiwinflash 1° extract your BIOS with atiwinflash 2° make a backup of it. 3° copy the 1500 Mhz mem strap up to the 1625 1750 2000 MHz straps 4° save that new bios 5° flash your card with the modified bios 6° Reboot your rig Check on youtube "rx470 mod bios" or something like that. You will have tons of videos showing you everything in detail. It work exactly the same way no matter the model or the brand, just use your own bios. If you are too lazy to try, you can still check on the mining section of forum.ethereum.org, but finding the proper bios might take longer time than flashing it yourself. Hi, I am not a rich guy and dont want to break my card, its the only one i have. I have a spare old pci-e nvidia 7300 GS i can use to fix my rx470 i guess? I have 2 pci-e slots. Anyways, do i have to use atiwinflash to save the bios or can i use gpu-z? Some guys talk about the size of the file and blah blah blah , im just worried now. Thanks now i get 26mhs (ethereum) + 400hs decred :D Thanks I did this also , but for some reason i gained 1 or 2 mega hashes and i also ended up getting blue screens. Not sure if i need to also flash my second card so that they balance each other? Also i use MSI Afterburner so the settings are in synch with other? not sure if this is the right way... I dont know how the hell some guys get 28 or 32 as seen in other videos... I kind of left this flashing behind , but if u get 2 or more mega hashes it is a big deal...u do definitely get more cents and sometimes it can help u round off from 1.20 USD to 1.50 USD a day F knows, i feel sad, not sure what i should so now, try this again or what ? anybody that can assist me on a chat or teamview? ill send u some hashes if u like, Title: Re: Help about Mod bios at power color Rx 470 red devil Post by: tflux99 on October 18, 2017, 05:49:54 PM hey man whats the problem...?? read a little more :)
. grab atiwinflash2.74 install that version . save your original bios file to recover if something goes very wrong hehe . make a copy of your original bios and try to edit it with polaris bios editor there are some around here and on github . copy memory timings from 1500 into 1625,1750,1900 and 2000 save the modded bios and flash it to the gpu with atiwinflash . take a look what happend should bring you at least to 27 mh/s eth mining with blockchain drivers dont try this with newes drivers!!! .. my wife is ringing.... got to go now...
