Anyone noticed Preev BTC to Other Currency is not working?
BTC to USD is OK with no problem but when I tried BTC to PHP (Philippine Peso) it only shows ... like its loading or buffering.
I also tried GBP (British Pound), CAD (Canadian Dollars) and CNY (Chinese Yuan) it's not working
BTC to EUR is working
Is it only in my area?

I'm also having the same problem and that's valid for the LTC and other altcoins as well , I'm assuming they are not working as there is a message popping up when you select them that says : Exchange rate calculated using USD Bitcoin price . Ironically , I never seem to find an announcement thread about preev or the developer behind it even though the website is known so I'm not sure how It's possible to report this issue either .

It's not working for me either. so i use google for conversions, you can try too. type this in google search "1000 PHP to BTC".  :)

I experienced it also here in my browser, so most provably no one can use it right now and preev has its site's error.

services such as preev.com don't have these price conversions hard coded! they take the price from another service such as online exchanges through API calls.

in this case, they either don't have any code for converting to those other currencies or their API call is failing, probably that other service blocking the IP because of large requests or something like that.

if you can find the owner you can contact him and report the problem.

Same here too. Only the USD is working but that should be enough. If you really want to convert it, type "currency converter" in google search and you are all done. No need to wait Preev although I am sure they will fix it as they have been always working in the past, so for the moment use this temporary solution from google.

I didn't check all 64 of supported currencies (I checked like dozen or so just to be sure), but it appears that external service from which API is collecting data is faulty.

But messaging him will be pointless, his last activity on Bitcointalk dates back to 2015.

It is not a recent development, more than 4 months now, and I think the problem has just been neglected because people have alternatives or they are used to the USD conversion. If it can be corrected, It will have more people visiting the page

I checked the site now and it shows nothing when I try to convert btc into INR. http://prntscr.com/e6ywwk It works for EUR and USD.

Preev must be having problems currently and sometimes their prices too are incorrect which is why I trust Google rates more then preev. They had an issue earlier last year and they were down for few days. After that, their prices keep fluctuating and show incorrect price alerts.

Yes it is not working to everyone, just their USD and EUR conversion is working. May be they have some problem with their API.

I haven't seen Good alternative to preev but  http://coinmill.com/ can do conversion.

Yeah! From my side facing same problem to convert other currencies.I tried all BTC to PHP (Philippine Peso), GBP (British Pound), CAD (Canadian Dollars), CNY (Chinese Yuan) ,BTC to EUR as you mentioned above didn't working like as usually.Currently preev must be having problems about this issue.

Seems right, I've been checked few of the pair, even CNY is not working.

I've noticed about their rate to other fiat currency is incorrect over a month ago, when I want to check current price of my local currency (IDR), it's showed the number but it's false result.
I think they should improve this problem, because preev always showed in page one at google if you looking for a converter btc/fiat.

but in preev.com support many curency, maybe preev.com dev not ready development another euro and dollar

Preev seem to never work once after a major dump has happened. It seems that it can not connect to the exchange's price because of the sudden change or something that overloads it.
It is not as reliable as before. Time to move on to another bitcoin price ticker. :-\

This might be the Java Exception for those loops. I think this is a dynamic site and web admin has to verify and fix from their end. We do not able to do anything to them. Have a look with coindesk to price chart along with changes per hour.

Somebody told me bitcoinwidsom is the better of the two and this is all they go by as it is as accurate as possible for the sudden and drastic changes that the price has been doing in the recent weeks of the new year.

I thought it was just me experiencing this problem since i do always use preev on checking on bitcoins current price and when i tend to switch it on other currency and it always shows three dots only which signifies for a loading time actually and ive waited for long and trying to other currency it doesnt still work.

Upon reading this thread, I checked it out and it seems that most of the other currencies on preev aren't working out.

I hope a developer of preev will notice this problem or if someone from their team will also let us know what's happening with their site.

Btc to USD is the one that works.

it the same problem with me  Only the USD is working but that should be enough. If you really want to convert it, you can finf others services how offer to change  btc to other currency just search and you are all done. same problem here. I think there is some issue with the database, thats why almost everyone facing same problem, try contacting their support (if there is any) . or you can use directly google. just type the bitcoin and its opposite currency.

You can use http://ratesbtc.com/ they have nearly all currencies in the world. Plus they show ethereum, monero and zcash live prices also.

Thanks for this site... I used Preev.com every day, and thought it was only me... then I checked with my phone and I experienced the same thing.

I wanted to post something, and then I saw this thread. It would be a pitty if the developer cannot fix this. A while ago some people complained

that preev.com were infected with a virus/malware and it took a while for them to fix that.  ::)

@nydiacaskey01, how did this last?

I think it a normal when there are high traffic within specific location.
As you've earlier said that same conversion tool is working fine in other location at that same time.
